"it's okay." he ordered her a coffee. "i'll pay for it all, no charge, if you do one thing for me." he then put the tray on a random table.

 

"Depends what this one thing is." She said jokingly picking up her coffee cup and sliding onto one of the seats.

 

"this may seem all of a sudden, but could you go out with me?"
idiot! why did you ask so soon! you just made her a friend. this is not going to end well for you
he stared deeply into his coffee.

 

"You mean like a date? Sure I don't see what harm it could do just so long as we're mature about it."

 

what! she said yes. did god finally give me a break.
"oh sure. yeah, i'm mature when i do serious stuff."
he leaned back too far and fell out of his chair. he gave a big smile.

JD ran out of the closet. "Better call them for rounds."
He then paged his two inters to the ICU.

 

Lucy giggled a little as he fell from his seat. "Nice to know I'm not the only one to of fallen down today. Ah, shoot... Dorian wants up back for rounds. Best get going."

 

"uh yeah." he climbed up from the floor, and saw boots next to where he was.

"so, since you got a girlfriend, you think you 'the man'." the Janitor said. "So you can just spill your coffee on the floor."

"Dude, it was just an accident." Joe said, trying to stand up for himself. "And i would really appreciate it if you didn't yell at me or her."

"Showing some backbone." the Janitor said. "You're on my list."

 

"Oh go bully someone your own size bigfoot." Lucy sighed as she stood up resting her hands on the table and looking determindly at the Janitor. "It was an accident, I'm sure that it can't make your job any easier but it's still your job. Just accept it and move on. Come on Joe, we're gonna be late."

 

"uh okay." he kinda blushed. he wasn't the old fashion kind of guy who would be emabrassed that a girl stood up for him. he was happy. no one stood up for him like that.

she just stood up to me.
"You're on my list to tuts!" he said aloud. "Now where's my mop."

JD saw his interns around the corner.
"Hey, glad you guys made it. anything interesting happened while i was gone?"

 

Oh wow I am so scared of the scary mop man... She thought irratabley. "Sorry if I came across kinda... Bossy, I just don't like people like that. They really nark me off." Lucy appologised quietly to Joe before looking up at JD. "Some issue with the Janitor. We're on his list apparently..."

 

"oh don't worry, he doesn't like anyone." he then laughed. they went through rounds fast, and let them examine their patients.

"Hey, thanks for helping me back there." Joe said. he then examined the chart. he filled out a little percription, and wrote it on the clipboard.

 

Lucy laughed along with JDs little joke as she jotted down some notes onto the papers on her own clip board "Don't mention it." She smiled. "Not like I could of done anything else."

 

"true." he then checked on another pataint. he finished up with him. "So, where exactly is a good place to eat in this town."

 

"Well... There's a couple of nice places around here, but I can't say I've ever visted any of them. Seemed a little extravagant eating out on your own." She giggled quietly.

 

"yeah." he then looked down. "i really don't have that much money myself. how about the place that's just around the corner?"

 

"Sounds fine to me."

 

"okay."he then hopped onto the desk. "i live at the aprartment building across the street from here. how about you?" he then noticed he still had the pear in his pocket from breakfast. he took a small bite.

 

"I live a couple of minutes walk from here." She replied, playing with her clipboards metal clip holding all her papers in place.

 

"cool." he then looked in his pockets for his glasses.

he then turned to her. "truthfully, do i look stupid in these." he put them on.

 

"Nah, I think they suit you actually." She said.
