"Don't call me that." Kasha snapped, she kept her voice calm and leaned back with her arms crossed. She didn't feel as angry as she thought she would.

 

I hope he does.

Elliot backed away "i'm sorry" Elliot said, but it was more of a whisper.

 

Kasha didn't say anything and remained quiet. She looked up at the clock. Almost time for her patient to go to get an x-ray. Kasha turned and headed back to her patient's room, she sighed and rolled her shoulders to try and relax.

 

"give her time barbie"

Elliot nodded

 

Kasha entered Nathan's room. "Are you ready to go get that x-ray?" She asked him.

 

Nathan nodded "are you going to be okay?"

Nathan was actually a bit worried about Kasha but he would never tell her that.

 

"Why are you so concerned?" Kasha asked Nathan, she was slowly going to ease them off that topic. She was pretty good at that.

 

"you tell me. I'm not the one with a broken heart, just a broken arm."

 

"A broken heart would be considered depression. I'm not depressed. I was when I was younger but that is the past now." Kasha said to Nathan, getting kind of annoyed with him.

 

okay talk to me, why do you hate me so much? and don't lie cuz I know you do.

 

If he ever hets on.

 

"Hate is a strong word, Nathan." Kasha said, eyeing him carefully. "If I hated you I wouldn't be taking care of you. I don't like you either. You ask too many questions about things that you don't need to know about."

 

but you don't have to, and I don't like you either... but no one deserves to feel the way you do. Over time that feeling starts eating away at you, believe me.

 

"That's been happening for a while now, Nathan." Kasha said in a firm, leading way. She often did this to let someone know to just drop the subject or change the topic.

 

you know what?- you're impossible!

 

"I keep my feelings to myself. I don't enjoy 'sharing them'." Kasha said to Nathan, "Now drop it. We need to give you that x-ray." She said to Nathan.

 

*scoff* it's already been dropped.
