Really, i don't see the point why students turn into punks a bullies and beat up people for no reason, and even play fighting is so wrong

this happened yesterday when my friend got suspended for just play fighting and he got caught.

Really, school violence is so wrong that it keeps going on.

I haven't really seen much school violence happen at my school... in fact, I think the only time I've ever seen school violence was when I was in primary school (a school I wished was gone), though they were only with kicks and punches (or objects from trees), not guns and knives. Only a few kids (as far as I can remember) were sent to the hospital, via: being pushed down the stairs, having some spikey thing throw at the back of their neck and... some other thing.

I've also suffered my share of violence back then, too... I was punched in the gut for just being on 'that part of the grass'. Violence just happens both with reasons, and without (or stupid reasons, but they count as without)... Parents and school teachers should really get their act together and prevent school violence.

A friend of mine told me that she was harrassed by some random school people. Said that they were kicking her bag and swearing at her (she was worried that she was going to be beaten up... plus, this was at a train station. Think of the possibilaties that would've happened if a train were coming and she was pushed onto the tracks). If they thought it was cool, well, they're idiots. Harrassing someone for no reason is just stupid. Nothing cool about any of that.

If you use a weapon your a coward unless your defending yourself. If your going to fight use your fists, give everything you have and at the end of the fight whatever you where fighting about is settled, thats how it should work.

WOW. Something is WRONG with that picture... totally unacceptable in any environment with kids in it, if you ask me.

School violence is wrong, there's no doubt about it. Look at Columbine as the scapegoat example... but then, for those that want to take a look at the pyscology of it, watch something like "Bowling for Columbine"... which most probably have.

I've only ever had a friend bring a knife to school... I freaked, but didn't say anything. Wish I had though, because later she got arrested for stabbing someone in a fight (though it wasn't on school property, though it could very well have been).

People who use violence had massive insecurity issues. They constantly feel the need to prove themselves to be better, stronger, able to defend themselves for whatever reason. Maybe they're abused at home, maybe they were picked on during their earlier years at school... maybe they just have low-self-esteem.

But what about non-physical violence? It's all rooted down to the emotional aspect, when you think about it. Especially - this has been proven - between preteen + aged girls, alot of emotional violence and abuse is used. Most cases of school shootings are done by what their peers classify as "the outsiders", the "freaks", etc, etc.

Their hatred inside must be the reason for people to bring weapons to school.

Can't be that. Either they're getting bad grades and their parents are mean or they're just maniacs.

my school was terrible for violence, i went to a multi culture school so there was a lot of racism.
We've had guys come to the school with swords, chains & hammers etc that would wait to have a fight with a rivaling gang. Fireworks were used as weapons but usually hurt someone not involved. We even had some guys come in & beat up a student while he was in the middle of a class. It was crazy at some points & we always had to have big police groups at all the entrances in the school.

School violence is getting out of control.

Violence is really bad. My school you can't walk inside without seeing this kid punch another kid, or something along the lines of that. I don't see why people fight. And fighting back just makes it so that more fights occur. I think that the fights have to do with the child's upbringing, attitude, and the environment around them.

Wow. In my school, we have yet to see anything that extreme. Except for the occasional fist-fight between our school's biggest prick/liar and large and giant Year 12's...yeah, that is pretty much it.

My school has had one incident of someone being raped but the person was expelled and was restricted from going to uni. Period.
