Digital Art {school Graphic projects} La Poupée, Migration, Ville

So now that school's over, and I have ALL of my graphic projects, thought I'd share a couple of my favs <3 Though some have already been seen/used as signatures. :3

I'm not going to go into that much detail at the moment because I can't be arsed to type much.



"Moi" ~ first assignment ever. The point was to try and create an illustration based on ourselves. And uh...I tried to illustrate my habit of driffting off from reality to wonderworld. The drawing is a caricature but there are some painful proportion errors, ew.

"La Poupée" ~ this was our second project. We had to choose an object (I chose a doll! Poupée = Doll) and we had to work with it for several months. We were given several different assignments regarding the object we chose. Right now I'm only posting the 'Graphic Researches' assignment we had to do.

The goal was to represent our object in as many ways possible, but it had to be recognized. The first one is only in black and white (no gray/gradients), second grayscale, third in flat colors (no gradients) fourth colorscale.

"Migration" ~ meh, was a project on Migration/Human rights. (the right to migrate, something like that) It's originally an animation but for the moment I'll just stick with one of the scenes of it.

"Contraste dans la Ville" ~ one of my more recent projects. It had to be traditional, but it would've looked better if the right side were done on the computer. The point was to create a contrast in a town~ for example you could have a city filled with cars and pollution in one side and, in contrast for the another side, you could have a green carefree park.

For each contrast, the technique also had to be different. You couldn't use the same technique for both sides.

Anyway my contrast was the 'busy, stressful hectic city life' and the 'calm, poor, more relaxed life'.

XD I get that a lot. My sister went batsh!t insane because I left doll drawing all over the place...she doesn't like dolls much.

I quite like the first one as well. As you said, there are some proportion errors, but the style factor acts as a good mask. She also appears to have a little something extra in her pants. :X
