A very moving movie that made me feel very guilty about my German blood. It was recommended viewing for one of my college courses and though we had discussed it, I was not prepared for it. I mean I knew what would happen but...discussion does not prepare you for the emotions.

Liam Neesen did a wonderful portrayal of Oskar Schindler who saved so many Jews to work in his factory during the war.

And the ending was wonderful with the Schindler Jews placing the rocks on his grave to remember him.

Shot almost entirely in black and white. The only color seen is a little girl in a red coat that Schindler sees in the Krakow Ghetto.

    Wonderful movie.

    Yes, very so.

I saw it this year for Reading since we read The Dairy of Anne Frank.

It was very tragic. Made me feel bad. Although I still had questions afterward. Lol.

The class was Tolerance and Inhumanity which provides more of the background into the Holocaust and the Nazis.

My teacher explained some of the actual events that took place in the movie.

Dude, I just saw this movie 2 days ago in a school assembly.

It's absolutely horrific and very tragic. Though the message was very well portrayed and (I guess) shed some "light" during the Holocoust...

I really loved this movie. It's one of my favorite movies of all time. I especially liked the end and the fact that some of the people from the actual event walked with the actors who portrayed them and the documentary was well done. I think it really depicted scenes very well and though a few things were changed, not many were by the Jewish survivor accounts who were there and on the list.

I have yet to watch it...I know it will be very moving and all. As disturbing as it is, I think it's really important for everyone to see things like that. So I mean I definitely am going to watch it one day, I just have to work myself up for it is all.
Makes me wish everyone could visit the Holocaust museum because it's just such a life changing experience.
On this note, I'd recommend the Pianist as well. Fabulous movie, very touching. It is so hard to even fathom that one group of individuals could commit such a heinous atrocity against another. Man, that was a terrible point in history...and the worst thing is that in the grand scheme of things it is fairly recent :'P
