Chain of Memories Scents?

Why do the Organization members (and Riku) constantly talk about eachother's scents/smells?

Is it something with the characters or what?

 

its their way of tracking eachother

the only people i remeber talking about the scents is zexion and riku.

in com zexion was usng rikus scent to track him as he travels through the castle.
riku used it to find zexion to kill him

I think its an ability that only Riku and Zexion had since only they refered to it. I think its a way of sensing people, I imagine that every person probaly has there on unique scent.

 

And Riku smells similar to Xemnas because...???
My guess is this has something to do with Riku taking on "Ansems" form in Kingdom Hearts II, but the greater meaning behind this leaves me wondering...

But I never knew the whole meaning behind the "scents", and I haven't heard Riku mention it..(I'm probably not that far in Reverse/Rebirth)...
But Zexion, yeah..he was starting to confuse me, saying Riku had the scent of Xemans.

 

It's not Xemnas persay, it's his heartless you know becuase he took over Riku in kh1

They don't really sense eachother, it's more like the darkness seeped into their senses so they can smell the darkness of of others.

 

But when Riku talks about it in kh2 fm+ what he means is can Roxas feel Sora since there the same person

 

Well let me clear one thing up real quick. Only Zexion has a "power of scent", it was one of the things that happened when he lost his heart, and was turned into a nobody, its like everyone else power but....smell. Ok he refers to Riku smelling like their leader because in KH1 as idk who stated, Xehnorts heartless took control of Riku, and since Xemnas is that nobody they have a simular scent. The reason the scent was still their on Riku is because he didn't get rid of all the darkness. hope that helps

I've already known about the Organization 13 using scentz to locate peoples.
Heartless and Nobodies do that a lot.
I use the world scent a lot in the RPG , Twilight Guardianz .:)

 

Okay,pretty much what xroadtothedawnx is right. Zexion has a strong sense of smell. Riku smells like Xemnas because he's been infused with Xehanort's Heartless. But everyone has scents,and Zexion has a strong sense of smell. It's not really that weird..I have a stronger sense of smell then most people as well. That's about the shortest way I can explain it. Meh,I tried...

 

i was just watching deep dive and it occured to me that those flashes of roxas in a heart shaped ring of fire might be how riku sees the situation. because he is smelling it rather than seeing it it's going to look different and possably include details otherwise missed (or miss details otherwise seen).

 

I have a strong sense of hearing and touch . I can actully tell if there is someone behind me if they sneak up on me and try to scare me , it's funny because it's usually them who is the one getting scared. And my sense of hearing is very good because I can tell if a TV is on when there is no noise on it , by hearing high pitched electronic buzzes , its so weird. The kids at school think it's a weird thing too.

 

Maybe, but I'm pretty sure the sense of smell is exclusively Zexion's...

(I smell pretty well myself...heh. It kinda depends on genetics, as my mom can do the same)

 

Yeah, that has been happening a lot to me since I was little. I even talk to my mom about it b...*electronic noise*...ut, she has no explanation.
