    Awesome, this thing's getting underway.

In a brief defence of my quirk, here is a conversation, copied straight from the pesterlogs.

-- pikaPower [PP] began pestering crimsonBallad [CB] at 16:30 --
    [04:30] PP: Hey you.
    [04:30] CB: Yo.
[04:31] PP: Something amazing has happened to me.
[04:31] PP: I've discovered a game that I can play!
[04:31] CB: What happened Scott? Or is it James today? Blah, your alter egos are cofusing. x__x
[04:32] CB: And which game is it?
[04:32] PP: I'm feeling distinctly unnamed today.
[04:33] PP: And it is a most superb game.
[04:33] PP: Game of the year, you might say.
[04:33] PP: It's really, really, really good.
[04:34] CB: Hmm, well I have been busy playing Persona, and have almost reached the conclusion, so I would likely be willing to pick this up? What is it about? o:
    [04:34] PP: You're this guy.
[04:34] PP: And you have a problem with your heart.
[04:35] PP: And there's this girl. She kinda causes the problem, but it was always there in the first place.
[04:35] PP: Anyway, you don't see her again. At least, not at the point where I am.
    [04:35] CB: Interesting.
[04:35] PP: You get sent to a completely different place.
[04:36] PP: There's this one person with a strange, metal leg.
[04:37] PP: And it's called Katawa Shoujo.
[04:39] CB: OH MY GOD AHSGDSHFVMAF
    [04:39] CB: I have been wanting to play that for a while now. ;___;
[04:40] CB: Though I'll just get a friend from that kingdom hearts fansite to send me the download. She will also probably make fun of me for falling asleep as it downloads. Like always, sigh.
    [04:42] PP: You're aware it's free, right?
[04:42] CB: In that case I shall download it immediately.
    [04:47] PP: http://katawa-shoujo.com/download.php
    [04:47] PP: Tada.
    [04:47] PP: I am amazing.

    Oh O:

I like my Land. I just wanted to be sure. Is Claw our Space player? If so, I thought they were usually linked with Prospit while Time players were usually linked to Derse.

Are you using the Enhanced Interface for the Message Editor? I think it allows you to copy and paste stuff and it'll code the font changes, color changes, etc. by itself.

The biggest problem with the text coloration is that I may have to copy it from one medium to another, make alterations, edit certain portions... I would just rather have the raw paste data be as clean as possible.

    Are they? Jesus Christsgtfsdgsdgdf

Ok I guess I'll have to fix that. Stay tuned, there may be an edit incoming.

EDIT: Edit completed! Alex is now a Derse dreamer and Kieran is a Prospit dreamer.

    HEY GUYS.
Another reminder to turn your Pesterchum on. Do it.

    ALSO.
I am planning on doing stuff with Flash for this. Let me know if you wanna contribute art, or music.
I know at least one person volunteered to do music, but I can't remember who. I'm only doing flashes with original music because of copyright sh*t, soyea.

On top of that, if you want help with designs and color theory or whatever, I'm happy to lend a hand. c:

I filled everything else, Sfortz. I was lucky enough to get the things I did. I'm ready if you need me.

Right, so, overdue for an update bump.

Work is progressing smoothly! I've been knocking out a lot of the technical stuff so far, and in the next week I hope to start posting rules, info about stats/quests, and so on. Keep an eye on the OP; I'm going to be adding most of the info there as I go.

As for the other announcement... I haven't heard from Jojo in a while. Tomorrow, I'm issuing a week's notice; if he hasn't checked in by the 17th, turned in his house map, and assured me he'll be active enough to participate, then I'll have to replace him. Saxima has already agreed to replace, so we're getting her ready in the meantime so we can get this show on the road ASAP no matter what happens.

Hehey, look what's outdated again. Yep, it's one of my update posts! Let's fix that.

For those who don't know (which I think is no one but eh :v), Jojo is still with us! Apologies to Saxima, although stay tuned because the next game not run by me may have openings.

Planning is progressing smoothly and we should be ready to roll within the week. Get hype mofos :L Please keep an eye out for new information to be posted to the OOC, much of it will be required reading! I probably won't post again until the IC is up and ready, so you'll have to keep tabs on things independently in the meantime.

EDIT: First change added. Rules are now up! Please read them, and if you can, post to confirm you've read them. If anyone has questions or rules I should probably add, please, please let me know. Rules are the thing I'm most likely to screw up and least ok with screwing up. Also, would anyone benefit from me writing up sample posts to demonstrate the basics? Maybe some combat samples?

Rules acknowledgement confirmed, they are rather lovingly clear and swell so far, bravo! I shall keep an eye out to think about rules that may have been missed and what else may be nice to add and what have you.

Rules fully read and comprehended. I think a few example posts would be helpful. because you kinda of lost me a bit at the Narration and Command section - specifically the part about more detail will net better results. I wasn't sure if you meant describing your command or your narration.

I also take it you're opperating a strict "no megagaming" policy? It's a bit of a bad habit of RPG players in general, somethign that takes a little getting used to, is that even though you've seen the GM explain somethign to the another party member, you actually have to talk with them in order to get that information for yourself. We're not sharing a hivemind etc lol. I'm rambling ... lol.

Ah right, forgot to mention metagaming. Ok, I'll work on that a bit, and write up some sample posts. To answer your question directly: The narration and the command are tied together, so yes, you will often find yourself describing your command. But it doesn't have to be just that. Hopefully it'll be clear from the samples once I write them up.

    Rules aknowledged.
My only issue is that we can't use second-person perspecitve, eg 'You' instead of 'He'. My reasoning is that Homestuck itself uses second-person, and I kinda wanted to stay true to that a bit. :\

Well, while I agree that I like second person and it would be more like Homestuck... Second person is hard to write. It's hard to write and to keep track of. To reread or catch up would be confusing because of keeping track of which character is which. Plus, not a lot of us are great writers and second person is really tricky to write in. Third person gives more narrative, an easier style, and can be more detailed without seeming awkward. It's a lot more standard, as well.

When you enter a command, my response will be in the second person, as if I was the game responding. So that's where that comes in. :L

Like Sumi said, it's tough to write that way, and third-person limited omniscient is the easiest to read. My responses being in second person sets them apart just enough that someone can find the posts/responses relevant to them, but if the entire thread looked like that, it might get a little confusing.

    EDIT:

    A few updates for y'all.

A new tip has been added! Make a note of your character's mortality, but don't be terrified of death; Homestuck is kind of meant to walk the line.

A new sample post has been added! It's short, but it's got everything you need to know for your first post.

    And finally... *drumroll*

Please check the thread to receive your very first Quest! It will be under your character's Quests in the Character Roster. You should probably do this before making your first post *wink wink nudge nudge*. And don't worry about plot details or who goes first or where's your Sburb copy; this is a preliminary phase I'm using to make sure everyone's still present and accounted for. The game proper will begin once everyone has made one post.

Jojoj13 is nowhere to be found. After a week's notice, he has been replaced. Welcome, cataclysmic-Moira!

    Loading new character. Please wait...

(Translation: The game is on hold until our new player is ready to go. Shouldn't be long now, though! In the meantime, feel free to get introductions out of the way and begin practice-chatting with each other.)
