I will agree with this. After Order of the Pheonix and Half-blood Prince, my expectations weren't too high, but it definately beat the standards I held the earlier movies for. The pacing was great, the action was amazing, and the ending for the movie was not only perfect, but it set the perfect tone for the finale.

Yates totally screwed up Order of the Pheonix and Half-blood Prince was a little bit boring, but I guess that's because he had to deal with the fact that everything is based around the school. Not only did Harry have to learn about the Horocruxes in Prince, but he also had to pass potions, learn to aparate, and play on the Quidditch team. I'm thinking the ditiching of Hogwarts and open enviornments really helped spread Yates's wings that made him appear as a good director. And the best part, say it with me: Character developement (okay, and the action sequences too). There were changes from the novel, but I do feel that these changes were for the good of the film and were probaby 1) cut out for time 2) just wouldn't flow with the movie's story telling or 3) would've thrown off a lot of people who've only follwed the movie and not the books.

I must be one of the only sad people not going to see this movie. Hope it is good, so many of my friends have a huge expectation, one is going 2 hours before the showing just to get past the queue.

I have to re-read the book before I see it so i can decide how accurate it is. I need to find the time to re-read all 7 books. I still haven't seen Half-Blood Prince yet because I want to re-read it first, but I want to re-read all the books before it, etc.

Good to know that a lot of people think it is a good film. I will watch it tomorrow.

Everyone's keep saying how awesome that scene was. I really want to watch that.

Me and my sister actually went twice (to a pre-showing and then at midnight). So we were cracking up at the midnight premiere during the awkward/sad moment just before that scene.
