how do all the american sats n'all work? over here we have to sit yellis (third year), ellis (first year) and ailiis (lower sixth) tests that predict our grades and how well we are doing. i was predicted either As A/A*s or A*s in everything for my GCSEs, no pressure...... tho if my mock exams are anything to go by i shud be fine

it's an optional test that u take in order to show colleges how intelligent u are. ur given a score of 0-2400. it has 3 sections and u can score up to 800 on each one. u can take the SAT any year but ur prolly not going to be smart enough until about the 11th grade.

I saw some people cheating on the SATs, there were at least 3 people who were talking on their cell phones after each section.

Did they let you have snacks during the test? In my test, they gave us snack breaks about every half hour, probably because they thought we were cute little kids because we were smaller than the usual 11th and 12th graders who take the test.
My essay topic was "Do comic books foster a negative or positive growth in children?" or something like that. It was really weird.

Mine was "Do americans tday do enough to help their society? If so, how? If not, how can we improve?"

And yeah, I would have taken it in 7th grade, but I decided noto cause I just wanted to take it when I was mentally prepared. Taking the test was quite a challenge due to stress, boredom, and uncomfortable test environments. I'm glad I took it when I did though, I ws prepared for it this year, and now that I know what it's like, I can take the SAT's later in my school career and hopefully do either just as well or better. I scored 68% higher then all the sophmores of the United States, which has to count for something.

...wouldn't it be weird if I did worse when I'm a sophmores? I would be 68% precent marter then myself...O.o

yea, we did have snacks but not every half an hour. but the essay is the easiest section of the whole test
well...it's 75% and up that impresses colleges. just make sure to get smarter by the time u take it again
