I just re-started kh 2 and I had a thought if Roxas has the Samiri Nobodies working under him why did the organisation send a dusk first? Remember when the Dusk talks to Roxas on the first day? He said "We have come for you my leige" which to me is something the Samiri Nobodies would of said...

Well, Dusks are the basic Nobodies and second-weakest (I think second).
If they sent a Samurai, there was probably a chance that Roxas, even without having any memories, would be able to take control over the Samurai Nobodies sent to take him back.

Also, since Organization XIII are the strongest Nobodies and control other Nobodies, everyone of them is a liege to weaker nonhumanish Nobodies, imo.

well your right about the Dusks being weaker the Creepers are weaker so if they wanted to send a weak Nobody to avoid detection why didn't they send Creepers? and I would of thought the SAMURAI's thank you shiki, would of done the job more efficentlly

Yes efficiently, but as said before, Roxas could have autonomously told them to leave.

I don't really see how if he could with the Samurai's then he could with the Dusks since all Organisation members can control them

The Nobodies that aren't one of the a part of the main 13 of the Organization can all be controlled by all 13 Members. That includes Samurai's.

exsactly my point so why did they send one of the weakest to get back one of their most important members?

They sent the dusks because they didnt think Roxas would actually fight them off. Once they figured that out they started sending progressively harder nobodies. Eventually leading up to the Twilight Thorn. After he took that out, i think they just stopped trying to send better nobodies.

I thought the twilight thorn wasn't sent by anyone because it appeared in his 'Drive of the Heart' In the Station of Calling.... I think they may of sent the dusks but Axel and the other Nobodies came on their own accord.... well Axel did and he came with the other Nobodies.

I think I may have been wrong about the Thorn being sent, but Axel didnt come of his own accord, he was sent by the organization. His oders were to bring him back, and if there was any resistance from Roxas, Axel would have to use Lethal Force. As for the Non-Dusk Nobodies, i have no clue.

It is called game mechanics ya. The Dusk Nobody is the equivalent of the basic Shadow Heartless so it makes perfect sense to introduce the new enemies with the basic of their forms. I doubt the possibility of a deeper meaning regarding this.

this makes sence though still....... I do think in an acctually senario like this they would of sent the Samurai ones and to some point wouldn't the Samurai ones come to Roxas's aid if they felt he would be hurt???

I think the Samurai nobodies wouldnt aid Roxas because he's a traitor and nobodies don't help out traitors. Think about it, Axel commanded the Dusks when he went for Roxas and to get Kairi, but when he started to help out Sora he became a traitor. They attacked him and stoped obeying him. So if Roxas rejoined then the samurais and other nobodies would help/aid him and be back Under his command.

The dusk nobodies are the most agile and, in Days they were occasionally used to send messages or perform basic recon. The dusks weren't supposed to be able to bring back Roxas if he resisted, they simply aren't strong enough for that. Now either by a dusk making it back or by virtue of looking at the ones that didn't come back they learned where Roxas was. At that point Axel came and he used his assassins along with genaric dusks and creepers to try and get Roxas back per orders and being friends with him.

Though as mentioned before the affiliation isn't shown to be anything more than preference all organization members can control all lesser nobodies.

I think they sent them out because they are the most common and easily to decieive people. They can after all disguise themselves as inanimate objects or people.

The Samurai Nobodies are under the command of Roxas, there's no doubts of that. I think that the Dusks, being the second to simplest of the Nobodies, merely work under the commands of all Organization XIII, they're basically the dogs.

I'm pretty sure it is official, but I can't remember from where. Ultimania maybe?

Also the term "controlled" is a bit heavy there, we really just say that for simplicity. Any member of the organization can control any lesser nobody. Certain Organization members simply have a higher affiliation with specific lesser nobodies. And they are logical. If you don't see the connection I can try to explain. Also I think I can show you moments of most of them being used by the member it corresponds to (No Sorcerers. Snipers or Dancers are gameplay, not cutscene)

    • Sorcerer-Xemnas
    • Sniper-Xigbar
    • Dragoon-Xaldin
    • Berserker-Saix
    • Assassin-Axel
    • Dancer-Demyx
    • Gambler-Luxord
    • Samurai-Roxas

It should be noted that this is a KH2 mechanic, so as of right now there are no corresponding lesser nobodies to the members that we only see in CoM (Vexen, Lexaeus, Zexion, Marluxia, and Larxene)
