Kingdom Hearts II Saix.

Throughout the KH2 game he had been pretty calm up until he fought Sora. Was he just holding back until Xemnas allowed him to fight Sora, or had he always been as...Power-crazed? Please don't spam this, I'm looking for answers if anyone has them.

 

He can only go berserker when is power up by the moon... At least I think so...

Saïx: Xemnas. Is Kingdom Hearts ready?

Xemnas: Very soon.

Saïx: Then, I can end this charade?

Xemnas: Indeed.

Saïx (smiling): How I've waited to hear that.

So I'd say he was holding his lunatic self back a bit.

 

Yeah, that scene came to mind that's what made me wonder if he had always been crazy in that sense.

 

His element is the moon. He's kinda like a were-wolf or however you spell that.

 

I think it says in Jiminy's Journal that "his calm exterior belies a more savage nature" or something to that effect. Probably to tie in with the idea that he's a berserker.

 

I think he needs meds and to go to a anger management class

he was holding back completely during the fight even when not beserked he would scream and yell like he was (i fought him yesturday) so I think the moon just makes it worse he's crazy normally

 

So...He needed Kingdom Hearts to be finished, or just the moon to be out?

He probably meant several things at once... But what he says is pretty ambiguous and vague. I think he was happy that Kingdom Hearts was finished because 1)he would be getting a heart soon and 2) he could finally release all his rage upon Sora.

 

I think that he was holding back until the moon Kingdom Hearts was almost up to full power.

 

That's what I think too. But was he doing it because Xemnas told him to, or just because? 'Tis weird...

 

he asked xemnas if he could stop so I'd say he was holding back on orders from the superior

 

I agree with Dredica he is like a werewolf

 

His character was inspired by a werewolf... although there is a simpler explaination.

Saix is a nobody. Nobodies do not feel emotions. Most nobodies imitate having emotions... Saix doesn't.

Saix used his claymore to channel emotions from Kingdom Hearts. Notice Riku said "I think he is trying to use something to channel his power." before you fight Saix.

Saix channels emotions into his body just for that fight, which is why he goes Berzerk. Notice even Sora goes berzerk if he grabs Saix's claymore.

Imo, I think there's multible reasons. As Sora and co infiltrates the castle, around that point I think that the KH moon was as good as completed - so they didn't need him meddling with their affairs anymore. Saix seems like the kind of being just craving to release his wrath on everyone, and now was a good opportunity. As mentioned, moonlight makes him extra dangerous, moonlight that has emotions in it is probably more lethal than "extra dangerous" alone.

So I'm also thinking he was holding back his true power until Xemnas gave the cue.

 

Yeah, I also agree with what ICSP stated. That pretty much sums it up nicely. As a Nobody, he did not have emotions himself but the power of the moon, and particularly that one that came equipped with the Hearts of many beings, granted him the boost in power and berserk rage. It was probably the closest thing Saix could feel to emotions as a Nobody by having the empathy from that power. He probably was holding this back as Cocohints says as well as his true nature until the end.
