I feel like some of you forgot how much PS1 and PS2 was trash talked.
I don't really remember anything for the PS1, since I was a kid. But I sure do remember the things they said for the PS2.
Practicly the same things they said for the PS3.

When PS2 came out it hardly had any games.

And PS3 does have it's good sides in Multiplayer. I mean really, can you see 40 players in an Xbox360 game? No, cuz 360 can't handle that.
360's multiplayer fanbase is just 10 times bigger.

Both the PS3 and Xbox 360 hit major dry spells after GOW and RFM. Sony is still appeasing it's customers with the arrival of their online world, and Microsoft is still holding strong with it's well rooted online community. As of this year, not many "good" games are to be expected for either console, at least in relation to the previous gen. The Wii on the other had has been going strong, but I am worried that diverting production to it will cause a lot of opportunites to be missed out.

Wow. So many people made a point in this topic >_> Lawlz.

Well, I'm not surprised. PS3 was already critisized by S-E before. And now most companies won't get it because of the hardware? I'm seeing a bit of a tilt to other systems.

    /agree

All I can add now is that:

    1. I heard that there wasnt going to be a E3, but that was only a rumor.

    2. The Wii may not have and major games coming out but think about it. The Wii is about playing games and having fun in a casual sense. Most of the Wii games out there (Besides Zelda) are just a pick-up-and-play type of thing not a Go-Out-And-Buy-And-Play-For-Hours thing. In my opinon many Wii games (Wario Ware, Cooking Mama, Elebits, Excite Truck) were ment to be either rented or bought for parties. Nintendo is making a killing with easy fun games that arent all hyped up making them impossible to get. But of course its going to make those games because thats what they are famous for. Great easy fun games are what the Wii community is after right now, and will be untill SSBB, Metroid, and Mario. In my opinon anyway >.>

FFXIII and VsXIII have already been confirmed as PS3 titles... a long time ago.

The Wii is really really fun with the controller and all
Im not speaking from experience cause i havent played it
But i like watching those videos of people looking goofy
Thats why the Wii is fun for me
Honestly if the PS3 doesnt do that, then they should be getting their games taken away.

As a owner of the Wii, I will say:

Yes, the Wii remote/nunchuk system is innovative and fun. It's quite possibly the most unique gameplay configuration I've seen.

However, on a personal level, the software is lacking. There aren't any games I see that have made excellent use of such a system or any titles that spark my interest.

While I did purchase the Wii for Super Smash Bros Brawl, I sincerely hope that won't be the last game I buy for the Wii.

So in that respect, I'm a little happy about the changes made by these companies.

I think buying it again will be a bad idea. Right now, where I live. It's still sold out >_> And probably will be for a while. Just like iPhone.

Wii's one and only problem for me is probably DVD capabilities. If it had that, pretty sure it'd have a better format with graphics and such. Other than that, most titles don't really look fun. I'd the Harry Potter: OOTP looks pretty good to use on Wii. But that's probably it.

Wii not having DVD capabilities or HD is the reason why it's more 'affordable' out of all the next-gen. Make no mistake, if Wii had such things, it would've been around the same price as the 360 and PS3.

However, Nintendo has already made the statement that they promote 'good gameplay' and aren't too suckered in by the need to please with great graphics, or multifunctional purposes.

With all that said and done, they don't seem to be keeping their end of the bargain. Super Mario Galaxy and Super Paper Mario seem to validate this 'good innovative gameplay', but as a whole they're severely holding back on their promise.
