I love it when they say

We're here for the dust and the Crystals

Like its a drug raid XD

    Red- Are you robbing me?
    Bad Guy- YES!!!
    Red- Ohhh c:
    Bad Guy-*Sent Flying*
Red- You're a Huntress.... CAN I HAVE YOUR AUTOGRAPH CX

    *Scolded by Huntress.*

Also Red love her Voice Actor and the fact she's only been hit twice by a heavy attack so in my book she's still untouchable

I had my doubts about Ruby being a happy-go-lucky person but after watching this I totally buy into it! xD She had a little rough spots with the VA, but they weren't that important so I forgive them for it. Yang also did pretty well though she hasn't really done anything in this episode besides be a big sister. Can't wait to hear Weiss, I'm really curious how to she would sound like. :3
The beginning intro with Jen Taylor narrating really set the mood and setting. Really liked the performance for the two VAs of the main men too. Overall the voice acting was a step up from what I was expecting.

The animation was pretty top notch too, though it's better when it's a fighting/action scene which are top-notch as always. Though that part with the cookies and stuff felt kinda stiff to me.

As for the setting...it's gonna take me awhile to get used to the school thing. I mean I haven't really seen anything of it, but it's kinda weird seeing these spectacular set pieces in the trailers with and then suddenly having a school show up on the first episode. To be fair the school does look pretty extravagant so maybe I'm speaking too soon.

Intro song and animation is fantastic! I keep replaying it as I type this lol.

And that's about all I can think of to critique on. Overall solid episode, the school setting kinda worries me as I thought the characters would always be traveling not just tied down to one place, but I haven't actually seen anything so maybe I'm just being paranoid. I guess if they followed the same format as Soul Eater with the school I guess it could be interesting....wait the main character has a Scythe and she's going to a school...to train to hunt monsters...I THINK I MIGHT'VE FIGURED OUT THE INSPIRATION! xD

just watched the first episode, and I have to say I was really impressed. The battle with the huntress was incredible, and I kinda like the concept of a school, even if I expected something else. I'm also impressed with the way they did Ruby, I actually like this Ruby compared to what I thought she would end up as before watching the Yellow trailer.

So, I got home late last night and decided to watch it. Well... They as I predicted fixed the audio. Ruby Rose, why must you be so adorable and cute and afadlkfaln. Anyway, The concept for the entire thing fascinates me. I cannot wait to see what else Monty has in store.

    It was alright.

With Month there, I knew fight scenes would look and be epic, unfortunately, everything else felt a bit stiff and fake I suppose. The facial animations could've been more accurate, I think the characters need more prominent features like bigger eye brows or mouths or something like that.

The look reminds me of Gravity Rush but with more sterile and primary colours everywhere. Wish there were more details to the characters wince they look like their designs are quiet simple in colour and features which makes it seem a bit bare bones. Also, I am a little annoyed at the silhouetted pedestrians/passengers/non-plot important people, since it kind of drags me a way from things and makes me think about it being a bit lazy to not even design basic templates

I like the creativity but it does feel a lot like most other anime stories told before. Monsters, monster school, childish students, magical beings, that whole guy being sick on the zeppelin screams cliché as he is going to be a prominent and key character in the narrative. If they included pompous rival with two stooges crossing their arms and looking smug whilst they insult the main character, it would have been too much to bare.

It did an alright job at introducing some of the characters shown, but left a few things a bit blank, but for 12 minutes, alright for what it was. I'm feeling Naruto vibes here.

Honestly, heard worse voice acting in professional dubs and in movies, not gonna complain for semi professional VAs who don't work full time as VAs. They are good for what they are.

First episodes usually are meh, but that's my opinion on most shows, just nothing has gripped me yet, seeing as the trailers pretty much spoiled most of the main characters weapons and abilities, which I usually look forward to discovering as a show goes on.

Pretty much my thoughts. The action scenes are what I'm here for, since the writing (especially the dialogue) are so average. I'm really hoping that it'll pick up and become it's own kind of story soon, cause right now none of it's gripping me.

I have to admit though, the music is bloody amazing. Better than a lot of official anime soundtracks I've heard.

The first episode hit? Wow, when? Is this a weekly release? How many episodes are planned? WHAT IS THIS PLOT? I'm guessing by the large posts it was good.

Hmm ... I feel like PaW. It was alright. Very, very generic and anime-like to me right now. That doesn't mean it's BAD, just nothing that particularly stands out to me. Very typical plot and very animated, colorful, expressive characters - that thus far seem a bit one dimensional.

I feel a little bummed with the introduced characters. They're all, again, just basic anime archetypes. When Ruby came out as a silly personality, I accepted it, but Weiss? I really thought she was going to be deeper, based on her trailer. Not a spoiled brat tsundere type.

The music is gorgeous and the animation is great, specifically for the fight scenes - oh my goodness. Just wonderful.

I felt that the guy character that was introduced ... his voice didn't really fit him, it seemed. But again, they're amatuer and this is just the beginning.

I'm hoping that they'll surprise us and something will happen that shakes this whole thing up to a less generic level. Until then, it's still an enjoyable watch.

Yeah, I was really hoping she'd be a dignified type.

Oh well, it's not like the writers have had much experience with deep plots. Miles Luna did Season 10 of Red VS Blue though, so at least some of the humor works.

Am I the only one that feels the characters are so different because the trailers take place after/near the end of the series?
