Kurisu could see that Mya wanted to drop the subject, so he let it drop with a change of subject instead.
"I agree... we've got enough to worry about as it is... I haven't forgotten that EBO guy who I met on that rooftop one time. I swear... it's like he was aiming for you in particular."

 

POOC: Lawl that didn't help much XD

BIC: Mya scratched her head. Really? I don't see why someone would target me. I mean I sorta do look leadery and high ranking, but even so...She shook her head. Ehh forget it. The last thing I want is another problem to worry about.

 

OOC: Fiddlestick... sorry, I got Sander mixed up with Xane... I thought I was being helpful there. Crudbuckets lol

IC:
"Hmm, I know what you mean, all I'm saying is be careful." he grinned. "After all, I may be able to watch your back, but I'm not good at stopping bullets as you can see." he joked gesturing to his arm as Alex's house came into view.
"So... from one battlefield to another." he joked around again. "I'm not sure what I'd rather take on. More EBO or Alex. Well, either way... standing around out here isn't gonna solve anything. We might as well get it over with. Although, my main concern is that we didn't really learn anything from our little trail attempt, other than the fact that 'White Chaos' boy, Ryku seemed as concerned about that vial as we are." he shrugged. "But I don't know if that is enough to persuade Alex that our little rendezvous was simply a trail."
Although, a bigger part of me is wondering why we're so worried about answering to her at all anyway. I mean... what does it even matter what we do? We're experienced runners. Is it that much of a big deal? albeit he kept that last part in his own head.

 

Alex had fallen asleep with her head on the table. The pain killers had taken affect and all the stress from the last two days had really worn her down. She was unaware of the fact that mya and kurisu were right outside the door.

Kaleb got up to go make a phone call in the bathroom, but sat back down when he saw mya and kurisu walking up.
nevermind...guess I'll call the captain when I leave.

 

Lynne struggled to sit up. She was tired of laying down. Though she was tired, but lying around wasn't doing anything helpful. "I'm gonna find that stupid Lazard guy and give him a piece of my mind..."

Demitri sighed, watching his brother fall asleep on the couch and flipped open his cell. Scrolling down to Xane's number, he felt awful asking for help, but... Pressing Call, Demitri waited....

 

"Glad to see that your egar to get fully healed." Ren said after Lynne was fully sitting up. "Just make sure not to get injure again when your better."

 

Kaleb let out a quiet chuckle. The thought of a weak runner girl taking on lazard was pretty funny. There was no way she could do it. the e.b.o. had been working on the lazard problem for quite some time.
"good luck with that."

 

Mya knocked on the door a few times. Hello? It's me Mya and Kurisu.

 

Kaleb got up to answer the door and opened it seeing the two runners on the other side.
"she fell asleep."
He pointed behind himself to alex who was asleep at the kitchen table and then walked back over to the couch so they could get in.
"this is about all that's been going on. Nothing too exciting."

 

She nodded and stepped into the house. Hope you guys weren't too worried about us. If you are, our apologies.

 

Kaleb shrugged as sat down.
"Not really. I think everyone is just trying to relax now after having such a hard couple days."
He sighed as he settled into the couch and rested his head on the arm rest.

 

"Besides, I;m pretty sure that you can handle yourselves." Ren said.

 

"You know it!" Kurisu grinned at Ren. "So... anything happen while we were gone?" he asked. "I get everyone is trying to relax, but how is everybody? And has there been any news?"

 

Kaleb shrugged. He was rather disinterested in the conversation but figured it best to partake.
"not really. We got back, alex hooked up lynne, took some vicodin for the gash in her foot, then past out at the table."
He looked over to ren for clarification.
"sound about right?"
kaleb turned his attention back to mya and kurisu.
"any luck with the tailing?"

Alex woke up from the pain in her neck because out how she was sleeping. When she registered how many people were in her house she jumped up.
"oh my goodness. Why didn't someone wake me."
She quickly smoothed her hair with her hands, blushing a little.

 

"Woah, chill 'Lex." Kurisu said holding up his hands as he shortened Alex's name. "You've been working like quadruple-time, even you need some sleep, and we only just got back here anyway."

 

Alex stopped smoothing her hair.
"sorry...it's just...never mind."
She hurried over to kurisu and grabbed his arm.
"how's your arm doing? Or your hand at that."
She carefully poked around his hand and arm.
"you really shouldn't be punching walls, especially after getting shot."

 

"Meh, the arms fine, the bullet only grazed it before and it's already been taken care of, the wound hasn't reopened anyway either and the only trouble I had was it slightly affected my parkour earlier in a small contest I was in. To be honest, I forgot about my hand entirely until now. There was so much going on, I just didn't think about it." he muttered while flexing his fingers to test them and reflecting on his earlier race with Mya.
He ruffled Alex's just smoothed hair with his free hand in a friendly manner, paying no heed to the fact that he had just likely messed it up again. "Don't worry about me anyway." he grinned. "How's Lynne been?" he asked. "The poor girl's been through a lot more than I have."

 

"Well aside from her eariler threat of getting payback on Lazard, she fine." Ren replied.

 

Alex glared up at kurisu as she went back to fixing her hair. She walked over to lynne and checked her vitals.
"yeah. As ren said she's been fine. Resting fortunately. Do you have any idea how hard it is get her to sit still, or any of you at that? Runners or not, you need to take a break when you're injured this badly."
She hobbled over to the kitchen and pulled some food out of the refrigerator. Is anyone else hungry?"

Kaleb waited for a response to his question, but when it didn't appear as if it were to come he asked it again.
"so the tail?"

 

Lynne groaned, holding her head, "Would you guys shut up... Kurisu, you talk too much. And it's not a threat, Ren, it's a promise! I vow...I'll have my revenge on that twisted man. No dinner, no wine, no 'hello's or compliments and he just goes and puts a bomb inside of me. By-the-by...where were you two? And where's that Kaleb guy? I don't like him. At all...and I'm pretty sure he's some sort of spy. What kind of guy wants to become a Runner when he smokes and carries a gun? I'll tell you what kind! A spy for the EBO!"
