Running Edge

"Uh cool. Water. Me too..." Kurisu said, so the waiter could overhear.
...He normally went for a soft drink. But he didn't seem to notice that he had just ordered the water.
Anyways, the waiter went off to sort everything. "So..." he tried to think of a subject, they were both Runners, they should have a lot to talk about.
"...uh." ...seriously, they should have a lot to talk about.
"What do you like to do when you're not running?"

 

Mya scratched her arm. Hmm...well I do some stuff like playing sports, playing music, helping others out, and ect. What a normal person would do.

 

Kurisu listened, "Yeah?
...But I mean, what would you want to do or be doing... if you weren't a Runner? I mean, say for one crazy second that the world wasn't so fucked up. What would you do if we didn't do this?" he asked.

BIC: Mya sighed and tapped the table with some chopsticks. If life wasn't like this, I would be just some "normal girl." Never revolting, risking lives, or anything of that sort. A girl who would want to live a good life. Get a good education. Fall in love. Get married. Have a family. Something of that sort. As their drinks and food arrived, Mya pushed it aside. Anything else you want to ask before I eat?

 

"Oh. Nah." Kurisu said shrugging, "I was just trying to make conversation, it's not everyday we have some free time so to speak."

Mya shrugged and started to slurp down her noodles. I don't blame you. Or any of us. We all have tough lives. It's not really possible to remember how we can remember what a normal life was. She squirted some hot sauce onto her noodles.

 

OOC: I'm really really sorry about not posting in such a long time...my computer broke and I was on vaction with no computer access in July, then soccer resumed and I've been really busy... :( I'm sorry!!!! *bows*

BIC: Kevin looked at Kaleb, who looked as confused as he was. "I'm alright...and that was Alex...running for some reason..." He looked at the drink his hand and began to drink the liquid, his throat suddenly felt really dry.

 

Ryku stumbled half asleep into Noodle Foodle. He was dressed down from his normal EBO uniform. A nice blue shirt and jeans, accompanied by of course, his pistol he rarely used. Bulky or not, he'd carry it. "Hey..." he spotted Mya and Kurisu, "Don't I know you?" Rubbing his head, Ryku frowned, "Kinda dangerous for a bunch like you to be eating out at a time like this, don't you think? What is this...a date? I didn't think your kind actually dated. Cute." He smiled and pushed his hair back from his forehead, "Don't get up...I'm off duty. And I just got paid, so no worries." Laughing, Ryku moved away from them and spoke hurriedly with a waiter. "Good man. Best Sake in the city if you ask me."

 

OOC: I'm back, recap please?

 

OOC: Literally, for you guys, nothing else has happened on your side, we've just sorta been filling in the time lol.
On our side, it's just mainly been Kurisu and Mya hanging out, and now Ryku has just walked into the same noodle house.
Pretty much it.

BIC: Kurisu had been about to answer Mya back when by what only could have been pure coincidence, one of the chaos brothers walked in.
He glared at the man as he mocked them. He had been about to stand up when the man had insisted that they don't...
Best not to make a scene. he reminded himself, but continued to glare at the EBO officer.
"How's your brother." he asked genuinely. He knew this might spark some feelings of rage in the officer, so Kurisu also decided to clarify something. "'Cause unlike you guys, 'our kind' doesn't enjoy having others die by our hands." he said bitterly to the brother.
It felt like there was a bad taste in his mouth, and so far his food was untouched.
He didn't take his eyes off the man for a second.

 

Ryku turned back to them with a small smile. "Demitri? Oh, he's fine. Nice of you to worry for an EBO officier." Ryku's smile turned cold, "I hadn't been informed that your little Runner girl had been killed? Did she die in surgery? Hmm, is that why I was paid extra?" He let out a small chuckle, "Too bad...she was a lovely one. Taking her in and having my fun with her would've been...enjoyable. It's a shame something so pretty had to be snuffed out." Ryku didn't particularly like the thought of her dead, but it wouldn't show on his face if he could help it. "Well...there still is always her body. I, myself, am not a necrophiliac but...I know a few. Odd people...but I do need their cooperation."

 

Mya glared at the man. She wouldve held down against insults like that, but he was pushing it too far...far enough for her to tackle him and strangle him to death. If we were somewhere a little more private, I wouldn't hesistate to kill you right now. She pushed away her half empty bowl. Send a message to them will you? Tell them to hire real men, not scared men or messenger lapdogs for their biddings. If you have nothing else to do here besides bothering us, leave. If you push me far enough, maybe I would teach you experiences worse than death..

 

Kurisu had been about to get up and lunge at the man, but he had stopped at Mya's words instead.
He just continued to glare at him.
"I say we aren't like you... that we won't enjoy killing.
But listen up.
For you and your brother... I'd make an exception.
If you come near my family again.
If you hurt them... I'll make sure it will be the last thing you ever do." Kurisu told him, referring to everyone of the Runners as his family. Cause to him, they were.

 

Ryku's blue eyes darkened to a point where they didn't look naturally blue anymore as he glowered at Mya and Kurisu. "Don't tempt me little girl." he turned his dark eyes to Kurisu and gave him a savage smile, "Your family is as good as dead. One by one, the EBO will pick them off. First on the list...Lynne. Enjoy your dinner." He turned, snatched the bottle from the waiter and headed without stopping out the door.

 

Kurisu's fist hit the wall hard, shocking several customers... He then stood up about to go after him... but he had the feeling that Mya would have stopped him.
And that was probably what the EBO was hoping for.
He grinded his teeth as he sat there. Damn it.

 

Mya held his arm. It's alright Kurisu. They can't take us down easily. We will support each other right? That's what we are. A family. She grabbed her bowl and stared in it.

 

{ooc: midnight, alex is waiting for hanna to respond. i think you need to go back to like page 13 or something....}

kaleb looked at kevin questioningly.
"is that out of character? i mean, you are all runners aren't you? why do you look so confused by her doing the exact thing you're named after?"

 

OOC: Hyuge... I think that is a slight exageration... page 13 is way before Lynne was even shot lol, That's too far back.


BIC:
Kurisu felt himself calm down at Mya's touch and her words..
He took a deep breath and sat himself down. "You're right.. I'm sorry." he mumbled as he looked down at his bowl of food too.

 

"For her, that is way out of character..." said Kevin worriedly, standing up with some difficulty, "She's a runner, but she doesn't usually run..If you know what I mean...She usually stays back, since she's really the only one we come to when we're wounded. We don't feel safe in the hospital...so we don't usually go there."

 

Mya stood up and tugged on Kurisu's arm. Cmon. Let's pay for this and go back. We can buy some ice cream on the way too if you want.
