Running Edge

alex awoke in a jolt. even without looking at a clock she knew that she had slept in much later than normal. alex jumped out of bed, ran out the bedroom, through the living room and out the door, completely oblivious to the fact that she was still wearing her lavender silk pajamas and no shoes. she didn't pay any attention to hanna, kevin, or kaleb who were still in her house. all she could think about was seeing lynne. kurisu said everything was all right, but she needed to physically see her with her own eyes. alex wasn't as physically strong as the rest of them, so the run there took a lot out over her, but she managed to hold her own most of the way there. she had about a quarter of the way left when she collapsed. her legs couldn't take anymore. she already exerted herself far beyond her normal limits.
i can't believe i slept in so late. it has to be after nine already, but i can't go any farther. it's just too much. hanna said i'm just as important as the rest, but i can't even make the trip to the hospital.
alex sat on the side of the road panting. her legs were shaking and her eyes started to tear up.

kaleb barely saw alex. she was out the door so fast it was almost as if she were a blur. he turned back to kevin who must have been just as confused as himself.
what was that?

 

Sander stood on a rooftop of a building, watching the sun rise. A new day, and a better opportunity to kill. He lit a cigarette and walked away.

 

alex continued to sit there, tears streaming down her face. she didn't feel like she was an important part of the team. she wasn't nearly as strong of a runner as the rest of them, and when it came to medical work, she couldn't even help lynne. alex envied all of them. even lynne who should be bedridden at the moment. when it came to fighting and doing missions, she was hopeless.

 

Hanna came out of the bathroom washed and clean, she ached but certainly felt better than the day before. She noted Alex must of got up since the bed was empty and walked through to the living room to see the guys but oddly Alex wasn't there, "Morning, where's-" She began to say as she noticed the open door, her brow wrinkled. She wandered over to the door and poked her head out, "Oh no" She muttered seeing Alex. Rubbing her neck she slowly walked out to her and sat down next to her. "Has someone died?"

 

OOC: Dam you Bushy. BUMP.

 

OOC: Gah, sorry, I've been keeping an eye on this wondering why you hadn't posted...
I just looked back now... and I see that you did in fact post, and that I'm a blind idiot...
Damn me indeed.


BIC: "Well... I have no idea." Kurisu chuckled.
"...I guess, we just... do what we CAN do.
Although, I dunno what that is." he said.

 

OOC: Guess its punishment time *Gives Bushy a dunce hat*

BIC: Mya stood up. Why don't we check up on the others? Especially Leyna. I'm sure we should check up on theor condition and see how she's doing.

 

"Sure, that works for me...
Although, what about the others who think they have to meet us here, I mean, didn't you leave a notice for them to come here or something?" Kurisu asked.

 

OOC: You gotta wear the dunce hat >:3

BIC: Mya nodded and scratched her arm. I did, but they haven't shown up yet. Besides, Leyna is probably breaking the doctor's rule and roaming around.

 

OOC: *Puts it on.*
Also... Leyna? Don't you mean Lynne? XD

BIC: Kurisu nodded, "You're right there...
alrighty, let's go I say."

 

OOC: Leyna? You're mixing up you rp's. Also I can't post yet.

Lynne came puffing down the hallway with the same flock of doctors trailing behind her. "How about....you all...get off....my @ss! Quit....stepping on....my feet!" she growled at them.

 

{ooc: alex was more than just like...down the street. she was over half way to the hospital. but whatevs, i guess. *sighs*}

alex stiffled a laugh under her tears.
"no, nobody died hanna. i just wish i had the physical endurance as everyone else. i need to get to the hospital and see lynne and also speak with the doctors. i'm already doing so little to help, i have to make myself involved somehow."

kaleb just became even more confused when hanna walked out the door. he felt like he should follow her, but didn't just want to leave kevin. the guy wasn't exactly in the best of shape, with everything that happened the previous day he was surprised that he was even conscious and not screaming of pain.
she sighed and wiped away a few stray tears that were collecting on her jawline.

 

OOC: Aww I was kidding Bushy.*Glomp*

BIC: Mya heard commotion down the hall and saw Lynne followed by doctors. She sighed and ran up to her. Lynne, why are you out of bed. Didn't we say to stay in until you're fully healed?

 

OOC: It's okay XD *still has the hat on and then gets glomped.*


BIC: Kurisu followed after Mya. "Well... you weren't wrong about what she'd be doing." he said rhetorically.


OOC: Sorry that short post is short.

 

Lynne smiled at Mya and Kurisu. "H-hey guys...No Mya...I'm alright. Just a little...winded is all. I'll be back out there sooner than you think. Plus how am I supposed to get better if all I do is lay around!?"

 

Mya grabbed Lynne's shoulders and shook her. Lynne, please listen. We want you to get well as soon as possible. Walking around and inoreing doctors will only prolong your recovery. I know you want to run and stuff, but please do it for me, for all of us.

 

"Well, for one... you might not hurt yourself too bad." Kurisu smirked jokingly.
"It's good to see you up and as stubborn as ever." he smiled and gave the girl a quick, albeit gentle so as not to hurt her, hug.
He then folded his arms and looked up in thought. "Although seriously now, we did say you need your rest." he added in.

 

Lynne grinned at Kurisu until he brought up getting her rest again. "Peh...I don't need rest anymore...I need vengence. I'm gonna do more than just stab that jerk EBO that shot me. I want a finger, dammit! Something as compensation for this." Her doctors chuckled, "Don't worry so much Miss Mya. Lynne is healing just as fine walking around as she is laying in bed. With her being touch and go while in surgery it is good seeing her up and about so early." Lynne huffed and folded her arms. "I'm fine."
