it SEEMS likely that it will remain for Playstation, but that's only judging from the previous installments. i would like it to be for PS3 because then it would actually give me a reason to get that expensive crap, lol. i actually wouldn't want it to be released on the Wii like many people say it will be because it would have too much of a difference in feel, i mean that in controls if it were to implement the Wii Remote. the controls difference would be minimized if a Wii Classic Controller was used (and Game Cube) but overall i hope it doesn't come out for the Wii, i personally think it's better off in the Playstation 3. i don't even care if it has super graphics or not, it just SEEMS like a good idea to leave it for PS3, whether it is PS3 exclusive or not.

if KHIII does end up on the PS3, I wonder how the graphics will look (since we know the power that the PS3 has)

also, a ragdoll effect on defeated Heartless instead of them blowing up and on the main characters after they are beaten would be cool!

And I'm hoping for a physics engine like "euphoria" (the one in Force Unleashed and the next Indiana Jones game) and "Havoc" (also in those games) so you can destroy things!!

So why such seriousness over an opinion? For one, everyone here knows it's only a rumor. Hence, if the rumor is true then KHIII won't be out for atleast another year.

Secondly, do you not expect them to improve their graphics? I never said anything about KHI and KHII looking awful so there's no reason for you to be on a high horse there. The PS3 is the best system right now for large games and steller graphics and picture for said large games - the Wii would not be able to handle a powerful game like that. Again, KHIII would look awful on the Wii - because it would not compare to the two previous games.

By the way, if you only like the series because it looks good then that's all you. Me personally, I love the series for many other reasons, I really don't care that much what it looks like, the story pulls me in, among many other things.

Stating "OH MAN I'M SO GLAD IT'S EXCLUSIVE YAYAYAYA PS3" doesn't exactly sound like someone heeding caution and taking it as a rumor.

Well let's see here; the Wii is significantly more powerful then the PS2, so obviously the console has the power to improve the game's graphics. BUT WAIT! "KH3 would look awful on the Wii"? Whaaaaaat. Why would a game look "awful" on a console MORE powerful then what previous games have been on? If an improvement is "awful", then what the heck were the previous incarnations? Why, they must have looked absolutely terrible by your standards.

The PS3 has yet to prove that it can do anything of significance that cannot already be accomplished on the Xbox 360, and in fact the Xbox 360 is capable of much more complication polygonal renders and shading techniques, as it has a GPU nearly twice the size of the PS3s. The PS3 has more processing power to have a greater number of less complication polygons on screen without slowdown, but in reality there's yet to be a game created that doesn't work about the same on both consoles.

The problem here is that people imagine a fantasy KH3, establish that it's going to be massive and HD and you'll be able to see Sora's pores on his nose, and thus establish that the Wii clearly can't handle what "KH3 is meant to be" or "what KH3 is clearly going to be like". The problem here is that game development doesn't work that way, if they were to decide that the Wii was the platform for KH, then the game would be built from the ground up for the console, built specifically to take advantage of all the strengths of the console, and made precisely for the system. They don't make games that look like a PS3 game and then try and find a way to cram them in the Wii and make it look terrible, they make games specifically for the console.

I mean, if we're all about everything simply having to be on THEBESTHEBESTHEBEST, why weren't we all waving our flags for KH1 and Kh2 to be on the Xbox? Oh yeah, the Xbox didn't have "Sony" slapped across the front of it, so clearly at that point, the Xbox's type of "the most powerful console on the market" just wasn't the same as the PS3's "most powerful console on the market" that it's got going on.

Again, explain this to me, how could it not compare to previous games, when the console is MORE POWERFUL then what the previous games have been on?

This seems to be greatly contradicted by your desire for the game to be exclusive to the PS3 so that it can look pretty.

Exactly.The PS3 has as much potential as any consol and on top of anything else for some reason nomura is anti-Xbox and that is why KHIII will never reach the Xbox.I'm not saying this to annoy people but because everyone could see this coming and to delude yourself in saying that it'll go on the Xbox is close to stupid.Theres a chance of it going on the WII or it goes multi-platform for both the PS3 and WII but the Xbox Physically deosn't have a hope at getting a KH while Nomura is around because he's the creator of the series and if he doesn't like the Xbox then KH won't go on the Xbox.

No he wasn't.Nomura came up with it in about the late 1990's but didn't have all the disney characters and worlds yet and then after awhile they tried his idea and it was a hit.Shinji was involved but isn't the creator.

Mm, no, the idea for Kingdom Hearts was thought up when Shinji Hashimoto met a Disney of Japan Executive in an elevator, as Square Enix and Disney used to share an office building. The two talked about if their two companies collaborated, and Shinji pitched the idea to S-E, where he became the game's producer, with Nomura taking the Director position in charge of running the project. Most of the Kingdom hearts story isn't Nomura either, Watanabe and Nojima are the head writers for the series, they're the ones who come up with most of the series' plot.

Heh... It's times like these that make us think back to how excited we were when the first games were released. I'm definitely going to buy a PSP for the BBS game, but I'm holding off on the PS3 unless the rumors are true.

Nintendo made Zelda Twilight Princess for both NGC and Wii.
Making KHIII for PS2 and PS3 will give people who don't have a PS3(and can't afford one) but do have a PS2 a new KH game and people with only a PS3 can also play it.
That way, fans/custimers won't be forced to buy a PS3 for 1 game.

The only KH game thus far that I can't play is BBS, since I don't have a PSP.
And I am one of those people who CAN'T afford a PS3 (way too pricy, 600-700 euro's WTF!).

By the time KHIII comes out, the PS3 will be affordable.

I think you are overestimating Nomuras influence and overall importance...

Considering that this is your only argument on why KH should be a PS3 exclusive and is a rather weak one, I think there really is no point in discussing this any further, we should just wait and see what will happen.
