RUMOR: Marvel vs Capcom 3 EX

First Post updated yet again with more NYCC trailers.

Heroes and Heralds mode is looking to be an epic mode. According to Capcom, there are over 100 cards with up to 1.2 million different combinations!

Every time I hear new things about this game I feel better and better about pre-ordering.

Hopefully Daigo and Justin Wong watch the H&H trailer to the end.

 

i wasn't going to get this game at first, but it looks like they added enough to make it more than just a rehash. i actually pre-ordered it to get the free costume pack. was hoping for Megaman X to be one of the characters but alas, my dreams seem to have been crushed and grinded into the ground. but at least Vergil is there :)

 

Just because he wasn't in there initially doesn't mean he won't be included at all. Possibly if Heroes and Heralds gets a good amount of downloads then they'll consider characters. (Not Capcom's words, just wishful thinking)

These things are never "just a rehash" anyway, pfeh.

Heroes & Heralds sounds... interesting, but I see it getting boring in a hurry. I saw a Juggernaut card, combine that with Nemesis and you're pretty much invincible, I guarantee it. If it's just single player, it might be fun. Wouldn't play it with other people more than a few times though, maybe to show off some neat trick.

DAT PHOENIX WRIGHT.

I like how he hits you by accident. And shouts at you. And kills you with JUSTICE. So sexc. He kind of looks like Ammy with less mobility though, hopefully he's not terrible.

 

So true! I would love to get this game just to yell OBJECTION to super heroes and have them get physically hurt from it. I believe the trailer has him fighting the hulk...and WINNING

 

i like the inclusion of Phoenix Wright as well. not sure if he's actually good because it looks like it takes quite a bit of setup to get him at maximum power but once it's set up he looks really powerful. though i'm slightly annoyed that during the special that the "Take that!" quote appears, Phoenix can clearly be heard saying "Take this!"

 

Feenie's a lot better than he looks. He singe-handedly took out an entire team at NYCC. (By single-handedly I mean he was the only character on his team that was on-point the entire match.)

Did you see his super? The judge slams his gavel down on both characters and shouts OVERRULED. It's excellent.

2. The game's not even out yet, so there's zero meta on him.

So I wouldn't get too excited yet. Besides, there's plenty of characters that can stay on point the whole match *cough Nemesis cough*.

2. That's true, I was just saying that he's not the completely useless joke that some people make him out to be.

 

Really bad example. Magneto in particular has the potential to smash any character from one opening. Even so, that does show off some much better offensive options. I worried about his range, but it looks like he's got a power-up and strikers to deal with that. Still looks like he has trouble covering ground, but maybe he'll have a wavedash or some such. Either way, I've a feeling good assist coverage will be a must.

i think Capcom just trolled me and other Megaman X fans badly, lol. if they can at least change Zero's voice and specials, this would at least give me the illusion that i'm playing as Megaman X, but somehow i doubt that will be the case.

In any case, I'm really looking forward to playing as Phoenix Wright. He looks pretty powerful and the inclusion of Maya and Missile in his special moves have made me and probably a lot of other fans happy.
Looking forward to this game greatly.

 

Well I hope trolling doesn't hurt you or anybody else too bad, because Zero's not the only one with an X alt...

If we do get any kind of Megaman, it would probably be Classic Megaman. We've got Zero representing the X series and Tron representing the Legends series, so it would make sense to represent a third MM series in there...At least I think it would.

I was surprised when I first saw Maya in there in the first place. But after seeing how she works, it makes more sense, as Wright probably couldn't do most of that stuff himself. And having Missile was a nice touch as well.

At the time I posted it, there were barely any videos of Phoenix Wright being played decently, so it's all I had. I do agree with you about Magneto, though.

I also agree about Wright needing assists to, well, survive in general. Without them, he can't gather evidence without getting hit, and without evidence you're pretty much screwed.
