Anyone else besides me like solving rubix cubes every once and awhile? If so how fast have you solved it? My record is somwhere under 4 minutes.

you're supposed to do it layer by layer. like this:

    1: top face

    2: top row (sides)

    3: Middle row (sides)

4: bottom (sides AND bottom face)

I know I know I've been showed how a million times I just never get it...one of my friends had this cool little thing where she'd do it with opposite colours s there'd be an odd dot in the middle

Have you seen this video? I don't own a Rubik's cube, but if I did, I would solve it like this

    Link is here ^_^

Oh rubix cubes, my old enemy. I must admit, I have had many a fun times trying to figure out how they work without any help. You have no idea how great it felt when I finally did it. xD

I've only ever solved one once, and even then I think it took...2 weeks? I'd miss a turn or something and I would have to start over from my last move.

Now, my friend (who I'll nickname Rizzar) solved them like a demon. She would solve them maybe 5 times in 20 minutes, and would drum on the table while we mixed it up for her.

I used to have a rubix cube for at least a year before some boys from my school smashed it and I don't think it ever got solved. I could do a few sides, just not the whole thing. I carried one piece of my rubix cube around with me for ages after it got smashed though like a lucky charm.

Rubix cubes, oh how I love it... Pity I've only ever completed it 3 times... :c

Get this, I only ever complete it when I don't have the goal to finish the cube, but when I just play with it out of boredom.

I have a good friend who'd complete it a good 7 times in 3 mins and a bit, but the way she did it... It was like her hands were shaking from adrenaline.

 Its also quite fun watching my cousins attempt at the Rubix cube, they tend to fail to such epic situations. C:

Ah, rubix cues. Things I will never learn. xD

Nah, just kidding. I actually do want to try and see how to do one, considering one of my good friends can solve them and taught a few of my other friends how to do it. I know it can be done, but since I have little patience, I'm not sure if I'll be able to do it. So many steps involved. Gahhh.

I would feel accomplished in a way if I learned how to solve one, especially those that are bigger than the normal ones. Like, not 3x3x3, but 5x5x5. Yeah, ha, I'll probably have to attempt to conquer the 2x2x2. Yeah, attempt.

I'll give it a go eventually. My one and only record will be more like days compared to minutes. xD

Lol, I could never solve one, well not one that was ''settled'' by someone else...

I could solve it by myself but I always use reverse engineering xD
    I consider that as cheating u_u ;-;

I actually have quite a few Rubik's cubes kicking around here somewhere. Once I was interested enough in it to look up some basic algorithms. The video series I found was a complete guide, but I only got far enough into it to solve a side. Maybe one of these days I'll dig it up again and start solving these things for fun.
