Kingdom Hearts II Roxas's heart, does it exist?

We all know, nobodies do not have hearts. We also know Roxas is a nobody. Therefore Roxas has no heart, right?

Roxas shows signs of having a heart all though his "life".

He enjoyed the ice creams and being with his friends. That did not look fake. Also he can wield Keyblades. This is obviously due to a connection to Sora. But I think it goes further. A keyblade is definitely linked to the heart.

Also, Roxas seems to express deep rage towards DiZ, and envy towards Sora.

Now time for my trump card; Axel. This fire wielding maniac gets a feeling of having a heart when around Roxas. This could be attributed to Akuroku, but I think that unlikely. Remember, nobodies lack hearts. Axel is enjoying Roxas's heart's aura.

What do you think? It seems interesting.

No. If anywhere, it will be 358/2 Days. that is Roxas's game. I cannot see anything else being said about him in KH3.

 

Exactly... And hopefully, Roxas (and XIV) won't be the only ones we find out more about... I'm still waiting for Somebody names for VII-XII to be officially known... but that's a different topic... :poketoungeb:

I'm so confused with all these new games 356/2 days or whatever its called and that there will be no "KH3" and instead that all upcoming games will be on hand held games?

Wont this make KH crap coz of the graphics and gameplay might be limited? Oh i need an expert to pm me and clear sum stuff up :(

I'm guessing because of Axel saying in CoM that "Nobodies can't be somebodies"...

No one ever said anything about there not being a KH3 in the future... quite the opposite in fact...

Like all these games like 356/2, birth by sleep and stuff.. its all so confusing for the average average person like me.. why cant they keep it simple and just go 1,2,3,4,5 =[

 

I know what you mean lol... But I'm used to it now, so it doesn't bother me...

 

Personally I think the creators are trying to play around with new ideas, what better way to do that than to make games for handhelds for the new generation? (it sucks for us who want to try the game we don't have the handheld for, I won't be able to play 358/2 Days) That's what they did after the first KH game, right?

Also, to understand the story for KH3 (it'll be made, I just know it will), maybe you have to know about certain events from one/more of the 3 handhelds?

And this takes us back to the topic - if there is an explanation about Roxas's abillity to have emotions (or near to realistic emotions), it might be explained now if it is importaint to the overall story of the KH universe.

 

I think when they mean "heart," they're referring to emotions. You can see Axel and Roxas breathing, which means they have the actual "muscle" of the heart.

 

It seems probable that Roxas does have a heart. In adition to what you said, DiZ says:

"Naminé's encounter with Roxas put his heart in contact with Kairi's"

And Axel asks Roxas whether he has a heart in one of the scenes in Final Mix.

 

And considering DiZ's immense hatred of Nobodies...

 

Dude, that sounds really true despite me not playing the game half as much anymore.

 

I believe Roxas had his heart or at least some connection to it more than the other Nobodies did. Axel did comment on it and I do think Axel himself was somewhat 'empathic' being able to feel other people's feelings since he could not just feel his own obviously. Also, the way Roxas acts around others shows he had it. He was pretty emotional and angsty at points which a Nobody would just be 'faking' being angsty, but he didn't seem to be. There was no one really there to 'show' or be 'fake' in front of at times. His determination to also seek out Sora and find out why he was having the dreams he was also shows that he was not just a regular Nobody. I believe he did indeed lose his 'body' when he left Sora, but also have theorized quite strongly, since he looks just like Ven, that Roxas was Ven's spirit. He had no memories because of Sora's short tenure as a Shadow before Kairi fixed him.

So yeah, I think Roxas is really a disembodied Ven that emerged and had for some reason 10 years before gone into Sora in BBS for some reason. He looks too much like Ven, including his hairstyle, to dismiss the connection. Also, he had 'Light' powers, which to me would suggest he still had at least a portion of his Heart.

Well, about the feelings, DiZ said they can only pretend... but their pretending feels too real to not exist... at least that's what I think... Now that didn't sound right... :sweatdrop:

And yes, the deal with DiZ saying something about Roxas' heart in contact with Kairi's is interesting. Just why, I'm not sure... Sora awakened when Roxas came in KH2, so... is it possible Roxas had half Sora's heart? (Which practically means he had one, but not a whole one. o_o) Namine did say he was half of who Sora was... so... >.>

 

Actually when DiZ made the comment he was referring to 'Sora' had made contact with Kairi's Heart; not Roxas. If you remember in the story before that Kairi is questioning things and asks who Sora is because his voice is in her head and he says 'Thanks a lot Kairi!" all sarcastic. They were attempting to fix both Sora and Roxas at that point and what Sora would see, Roxas would get some of too in dreams. Because Roxas was actually attached to a 'Somebody' that was living, unlike the other Organization members and Nobodies, he was getting dreams from Sora as Namine was repairing his mind. This is why Roxas left the Org in the first place; to find a reason to explain the dreams he was having. This is also why Riku had to get Roxas though, because to awaken Sora, Roxas had to be back to where he was from too.

 

I'm pretty sure that Roxas is an exception to the whole behaving heartless attitude because of Sora still being alive and well. He shows the emotions of having a heart since Sora still has his. The same probably goes for Namine and Kairi as well.

 

Actually, the whole quote is "Roxas' encounter with Namine put his heart in contact with Kairi's. And that in turn affected Sora..." So he actually WAS saying Roxas had a heart (or at least part of one)
