358/2 Days Roxas vs. Riku confirmed!

The highlights of a new interview is in News & Updates, and he confirmed a Roxas vs. Riku battle in 358/2 Days! Do you think it will be the battle from KH2:FM, or something different? And will he use Oathkeeper and Oblivion? Anyway, Didn't the KH2:FM ROvs.RI occur while sora was still asleep? Correct me if I'm wrong about that...

 

Yes, it did happen while Sora was asleep.

Darn, that means I'll lose in the end.:(

 

I hope it isn't one of those battles that the game does not let you win.

Well Roxas does win in the beginning, but Riku wins later.

 

It will probably let you finish up Riku first, then a scene comes... inserting the part where you lose. OR you just lose then and there... then the scene when Roxas is unsconsious... or something else... Who knows... but at least the battle is confirmed.

 

This has got to be exciting.. I really love seeing Roxas and Riku fight

 

Yeah! I was hoping that this would be in the game. I guess we know what the final boss will be, then, eh? Unless they have like an uber cutscene for KHII, and the final battle is against Sora. Which would be lame.

And yes. It does take place when Sora was asleep. The entire game is set during the year that Sora was asleep, except maybe a cutscene at the beginning of Roxas' birth and Axel in Castle Oblivion.

Yeah, i remember reading that a long time ago, in one of the first few interviews. This newer one just confirmed it....again.
It makes sense for the game to end there though, because we know what happens then. But i wonder if the first Riku/Roxas battle is the finale battle, or the 2nd one is and somehow...you lose in the final battle? Hmmm. I wonder fi the 14th member is the final boss and then afater that you run into Riku, ah well silly stuff. A bit confusing.

 

I think that it will not end on the "you loose and are doomed" note. I think it will share some insight we missed in the Final mix scene. Perhaps Roxas allowing defeat, etc. Just something that is unexpected.

 

Wait.....if roxas does vs. riku, then that means Roxas can use his dual keyblades during the game! yah!

 

I don't think Roxas would allow himself to be taken by Riku to have his memories erased and join with Sora.

Cutscene after you defeat Riku

Roxas: (shouting angrily) Answer me, who sent you here?
(Roxas kicks Riku in the ribs.)
Roxas: Answer Me!
(Roxas kicks Riku in face, Blood comes out of Riku's mouth, Riku still dosen't respond.)
Roxas: You've come for me haven't you, for what? FOR WHAT?
Riku: Sora!
Roxas: (Bends down to Riku realizing what he meant by Sora) Well let me tell you this, I'm not going with you.
(Roxas raises his Keyblade, Oathkeeper to strike Riku, but Riku kicks Roxas in the face and jumps back up, getting Oblivion and attacked Roxas, he missed but managed to cut of a piece of his hair.)
Roxas: Okay, Okay, I'll come with you just leave my poor babies alone. ( Roxas said, reffering to his hair.)
Riku: Wimp (Grabs hold of Roxas' arm and opens a portal and goes through it.)

Yep, I can't see that working.

 

lol........ i don't see that working AT ALL... but this is exciting to hear! XD XD

 

I agree, that would make the battle pointless if you couldn't win. :/

 

I think it would be cool but it better be as freaking hard a Sephiroth cuz i want a challenge

 

Riku is probably the last boss or a cutscene ending.

If he is a last boss, it will go to the point where Roxas knocks Riku to the Ground "Why, do you have the Keyblade?" "Shutup!" then goes into the ending.

Roxas won that fight against Riku, but lost the one agianst Riku as Ansem. Thats probably the ending.

Yes, I'm sure it will be hard. Have you tried to beat Riku in destiny Islands on KH 1 on expert?

Imagine that but Riku with godlike stats.

So instead I have to tide over with CoM until 358/2 days comes out in North America in the summer. Long wait....will...seem...sooo...long...

But I am patient. I can wait.

So the fight between the two...I highly doubt that it would be the last boss.

 

I would think that they would have the first fight with Riku and Roxas but I don't see it coming out as well in Roxas's favor considering the second fight where Riku actually knocks Roxas unconscious BEFORE he changes to Ansem and puts Oblivion by his head. Roxas never knocks out Riku. He just apparently hurt him and Riku left to think of a new strategy because he didn't want to harm Roxas to apprehend him. He just wanted to take him there out cold if he had to.

If they did end it though with the two fights I think I would not mind losing since I know already what happens in KH2 and all. It's not like it would be some great big surprise. Riku kicks butt. Sora couldn't even take him alone when he was at Hollow Bastion the first time. He had his two friends help. Also, it was to me kind of apparent Riku gets knocked down and probably flees the battle the first time. Otherwise, with how Roxas is so angry when he fights, Riku might have been a lot more screwed up than just having a wrist brace.
