Kingdom Hearts II Roxas, Secret Ending, Room of Awakening

I have a theory as to why the shorty at the end looks like Roxas.

First of all Roxas appears after Sora is in Castle Oblivion. Castle Oblivion is revealed in FM+ to be the place where the shorty is. More specifically He is in the Room of Awakening. Anyway, As Sora travels through the castle, Xehanort's memory of his short friend are brought out and manifested as Sora's nobody, causing Roxas to look like the short one.

 

Expalin it a bit more.

 

...I think I get what you're saying. Do you mean that Roxas's RSI (Residual Self Image - what you think you look like as opposed to how people perceive you) isn't actually blondie-boy at all, but the guy who got turned into an ice-block in the secret ending vid on KHIIFM?

And the reason he looks like that is because Xemnas/Xenahort's Heartless's perception of him altered his form. Right. Hmm. Interesting theory. I dunno... you've got me thinking now. I didn't think Mansex powerful enough to go into all that kind of thing.

 

Ok...that's interesting. But then, how do you explain the resemblance between Ven (shorty) and Sora ?

What I mean is that xemnas/Xehanort's memory affected what Roxas looked like. Roxas was Sora's Nobody, but while traveling through Castle Oblivion Sora ineracted with The Room of Awakening. That interaction altered Roxas' appearance to that of the short Soldier.

so pretty much what your saying is that BHS (we dont know if hes really Ven) didn't copy roxas, roxas copied him

I like this theory gijter. But I agree with Kanji. We're assuming that Shorty is a completely different person from Sora right? And that Roxas looks like Shorty only because of Sora's interaction with the Room of Awakening in Castle Oblivion. Then why would Sora look anything like Shorty? They share the same face, eyes, and build, even before Roxas was created. Also, Roxas was created before Sora entered Castle Oblivion.

I'm glad you're trying to figure what the connection between Sora and Shorty is. Keep brainstorming.

 

I guess I can see where you got the idea...Xehanort's memories and all (since those are supposedly a large part of the next game.)

I'm not sure if this is true or not (although it sounds convincing) but it does sound like what could have happened.

 

Im going to try and tie this back into the "Awakening" theory. Lets say in Birth by Sleep,...Baldy tries to fully awaken, but "Larry" tries to stop him. The door opened by Baldy pulls everyone's Body, and Heart through the passage, but their memories remain attached to the armor. Ven(Shorty)'s Body and Heart become Sora. Because "Larry" gets in Baldy's say, Baldy's Heart and his Body become fused and create Ansem. "Larry's" heart goes on to become Riku...

So Ven, Aqua and and "Larry" all have their memories attached to their armor, but somehow get seperated. Ven and Aqua some how get kidnapped by the Organization, and "Larry" wonders around and tries to find a way to fix everything...

The only thing about this theory that is unclear, is what happens to Aqua's Body and Heart. I thought possibly her Body could fuse and become part of Riku, which might explain why he has similar hair, but that still leaves her Heart. Perhaps she somehow retains her full self...

Thats one way to explain the connection between Sora and Ven, Well, it's a theory anyways...
