Once upon a Never, Axel was walking around the Castle that Never Was. He was looking for Roxas, who hadn't shown up for work in about 358 days. Over two. He wasn't sure what the over two represented, but that's the way it was. As Axel was walking through the hallway, he met Demyx and Larxene. Larxene was screaming at Demyx, shocking him over and over again with lightning. Demyx was trying to get away, but he couldn't, because Larxene had him cornered against the wall. Demyx saw Axel out of the corner of his eye and said "Axel, please, get this electric freak off of me!" Axel wasn't sure what Demyx had done to get Larxene so angry, but not even a Nobody deserved to have Larxene attacking them, so Axel snapped his finger and set Larxene on fire. She stopped attacking Demyx and turned to Axel, using her magic to heal herself. "YOU MEDDLING JERK!" She screamed. "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!" Angry and muttering to herself, Larxene stormed off down the hallway. Axel turned to Demyx. "What did you do to her to get her so riled up, anyway?" He asked. Demyx smiled and leaned against the wall. "I didn't do anything," he said. "I was just playing my Sitar and singing my new song and she started to scream at me, so I ran. She caught up with me, though. Thanx, you really saved me from a beating." Axel raised his eyebrow. "Dem," he said. "Come on, you know I'm not stupid. What song did you write?" Demyx paused for a second, and then sighed. "Fine," he said. "You win. You know that old Disney movie, the 101 dalmations? I was singing a variation of "Cruella DeVille", made to fit Larxene. It's pretty funny, actually. I got the idea from Roxas." Axel started. "Wait, you know where Roxas is? Where is he?" Demyx shrugged. "I don't know," he said. "I was just playing my Sitar a few days ago, trying to write a Larxene-hate song when he came out and gave me the idea. I haven't seen him since." "Ugh, fine." Axel turned and continued walking down the hallway until he came to the Kitchen that Never was. He saw that Xigbar was making a sandwich and Xaldin was pouring himself a glass of ice-tea. "Hey guys," he said. "Have either of you seen Roxas lately? He hasn't been coming to work and I'm trying to find him." Xaldin looked at him and shook his head. "Last time I saw him, he was rushing through the hallway, muttering about some debate or something. That was about a week ago." Xigbar turned to Axel and took a bite of his sandwich. "Lasht I shaw 'im, he wash in here, gettin' a bunch of chipsh and shoda and shtuff." He swallowed his bite of sandwich and kept talking. "He said he needed to stock up. That was, let me see, three days ago? I'm not sure where he is now." "Alright, Thanx," Axel said. He left the kitchen and looked around. Where could he be? He thought. So he kept walking until he came to the mission room. Saix was standing near the back of the room and Luxord was by the table, shuffling cards. Axel went to Luxord first. "Hey," he said. "Have you seen Roxas around?" Luxord looked up from the couch. "Actually, now that you mention it, I think I have. But it's been awhile. maybe about ninety days or so? He ran into me as I was training and said that he had found a "code" that would make me stronger. Then he rattled off a bunch of numbers and then he left." Axel sighed. "Alright," he said. "Thanx for all the help." Then he turned to Saix. As Axel approached, Saix half-smiled. "Finally," he said. "Someone actually showed up to get their mission. Great job, Axel. Your mission is this: A giant Heartless has surfaced in Beast's Castle. Find it and eliminate it at once." Oops. Axel had forgotten about work. "Oh, I... Uh-" "Yes, what is it?" Saix asked. Axel paused. "... Never mind." After work, Axel waited by the clock tower, but as usual, Roxas didn't show up. So he went back to the World that Never Was. He went and found Saix again. "Hey, Saix," he said. "Have you seen Roxas around? Has he shown up for any of his missions?" Saix sighed. "No," he said. "And when I went in search of him, I couldn't find him anywhere. But I found a strange note in his room. I couldn't make any sense of it. Perhaps you might understand..." Saix pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket and handed it to Axel. Taking the paper, Axel read it. It said: BRB, I gtg find a PC with 64bit, this connection stinks! Axel shook his head. "I can't figure this out, I've never seen writing like this before." Saix nodded. "Alright," he said. "Thank you for trying." "No problem," Axel said. He gave the note back to Saix and left the mission room. Where the heck was Roxas? He had to be somewhere. Walking along, he ran into Vexen, Zexion, and Marluxia. "Oh, guys," he said. "Do any of you know where Roxas is? I can't find him anywhere." Zexion shook his head silently, Marluxia shrugged, but Vexen smiled. "Yes, as a matter of fact, I have seen him. About a month ago, actually. He asked me if I had access to a good computer. I told him I did, but I wasn't given the authority to grant him access, and he would have to get it from Xemnas before I would let him use mine." "Oh great," Axel said. "So then he probably went to Xemnas. Thanks for the information, Vexen." Vexen smiled. "Anytime, I always am happy to help." So Axel went to the round room. As he sat in his chair, Xemnas appeared in a portal of darkness. "Hey, Boss." Axel said. "I just wanted to know if you know where Roxas is. I can't find him anywhere, and he hasn't been to work in like, 358 days or so. Do you know where he is?" Xemnas smiled and nodded. "Oh," Axel said. "Okay. Uh, where is he?" Xemnas paused a moment before answering. "Castle Oblivion," he said. Then, he dissapeared in the darkness. Standing in front of the castle doors, Axel took a deep breath before entering. The white rooms almost blinded him for a second, but he soon got used to the brightness and went in search of Roxas. He looked everywhere in the first six floors, and finally, he found Roxas on the seventh floor. He was on a computer, staring up at five or six moniters, all of them on the same site, and there were empty chip bags and soda cans scattered all over the floor. "Roxas, I've been looking for you all day!" Axel said. "What are you doing here?" "Just a second," Roxas said. "Twilight Nobody13 is PMing me about my character entry." Confused, Axel stood there. "... Uh, What?" Roxas talked without his eyes leaving the screen and his hands never leaving the keyboard. "For her RP. I'm entering her new RP and she's PMing me about some problems with my character entry. This site is amazing! Check it out!" Roxas leaned away from the computer so Axel could better see the site. It was a gamers site, called KH-vids.net, and according to the profile page in one of the screens, Roxas had been a member for 358 days, as long as he had been missing. "What is this?" he asked. "You're on some gaming site?" "Yeah!" Roxas said smiling. "And it's awesome! I'm in six RP's, I'm currently in three debates, I'm now officially an Intergalactic Ninja Vampire Space Pirate, and get this: Apparently, we had a fourteenth member named Xion, and she was like, part of me and stuff, and she knew that if she kept living, I would be erased, so she tricked me into destroying her so I could live and she could go back to Sora, and then we all forgot about her! Isn't that just epic!?! And, I guess I also have another heart, that belonged to Ventus or something. But I'm not sure, there's been some controversy about it. Oh! Loxare just VM'd me about the pirate group. We're in a space battle with Te Deum, Droid4Productions, DarkTraitor, and NemisisPrime. Rienzel just shot Lasers at everybody!" As Axel stood and watched, Roxas typed out a message to this "Loxare" person and then he turned his attention to another screen. "This is the spam-zone," Roxas explained. "Pretty much, it's the section of the forums where anything goes. Over here you have the Roleplaying arena. Here you can- oh, wait... Midnight Star just posted in one of the RP's I'm in. Just a second..." Roxas paused to type out a reply. "Here you can do online roleplay, you know, like fight heartless and save the worlds, all without leaving your chair! It's pretty fun, I'm in this thing called "Roleplay Idol", Jayn runs it. And this," Roxas waved his hand at another screen. "Is the Creativity Corner. You can write stories or poems and stuff, and the other members can come read your stuff, and leave comments about it. They also have writing contests and stuff, and if you win the contest, you get a sweet pin! Isn't this like, the best site ever? I just can't log off!" Axel stood and waited for a few moments and then he said "Roxas, you can't just spend your entire life in front of the computer. You have a job, you need to balance your internet life with your work. Now log off, go to the castle, get a mission and do your job! You can come back to your virtual life when you're done!" Roxas frowned up at Axel, but finally sighed. "Fine," he said. "I'll log off." Then, closing all the tabs and logging off the site, he turned the computer off and followed Axel out of Castle Oblivion. Three weeks later, Saix was walking around the Castle that Never Was. He was looking for Axel, who hadn't shown up for work in the past three weeks...
Yay, I'm right there!!!! *points vaguely* Great story Marushi!! However, you may be my captain, but I still need to edit this. There's no spelling errors that I can see, but you need to make more paragraphs. So far, you're just making new paragraphs when time passes, but you also need them in between speakers. Example: Axel said, "Hey, I'm Axel." Then he did stuff. Zexion walked in and noticed Axel doing stuff. "What're you doing?" "Stuff." Axel replied. See? Also, for paragraphs with no dialogue, you separate them with each new idea. Example: Axel walked into a room and started doing stuff. Later, Axel got bored doing stuff and went to go talk to Roxas. The first idea, Axel doing stuff, is separated from the second idea, getting bored and going to talk to Roxas, with a new paragraph.
This story is based largely on my own struggles with logging off this site. I told myself I would get off two hours ago, and yet, here I am, typing out a post. CURSE YOU, KH-VIDS.NET FOR BEING SO BLINDINGLY AWESOME THAT I CAN'T SEE THE LOG OFF BUTTON!!!
Your bump has affected one person. You got mail "Epish story! Want more!" Now translating... "This is a great story. I like how Roxas is being 'kiddy' and having his eyes glued to the internet XDD Keep up the good work!"
Even I got referenced. Yay! *ahem* So, I figured I ought to come check this out and... well, I loved it. It was a fairly simple idea, but a good one, and straight-up that gets you MAD PROPS from me. I don't really know what to say other than "I really liked it". I'm a bad reviewer. But yes, this was great, Marushi~
I remember when i shot lasers at everyone...ah good times.. anyways it's a great story. i really like the concept.
lol, thanx, everybody. I rather enjoy it myself. Just the thought occoured to me one day... "What if our favorite KH characters actually frequented this site?" And this just sort of happened.
