Kingdom Hearts II Roxas has a heart?!

Yeah, if you just clicked into here, you're more than likely skeptical and ready to call me wrong.

If that is what you wish to do, I will gladly refer you back to the fourth day of Twilight Town, around the end, where DiZ (or Ansem, if you prefer) said that Roxas meeting with Namine "put his heart in contact with Kairi's, and that in turn affected Sora's."

So what do you think?

 

While it's debatable, he likely was referring to Sora. Ansem treated Roxas just like any other nobody. If he thought he had a heart of any sort you'd think he'd say something about it in his reports or treat Roxas a little bit better.

 

In Days, it's proven that Roxas learns emotions through the fact that Sora kept his Human self. The same thing could very well have happened to Xemnas.

 

Yes, but if he were referring to Sora's heart, he would not have said "that, in turn, affected Sora," since it's obvious that if Sora's heart were put in contact with Kairi, it would have effected Sora. Adding to that argument is the fact that Ansem seemed surprised, which he would not have been, if he were talking about something so obvious.

I thought about this for a bit before posting it, though I only got the idea a few minutes prior.

 

Personally, I think that at the beginning of KH, Roxas did in fact have a heart because Sora was sleeping deeply. So Sora's heart was inside Roxas, along with his memories. So, when Namine came in contact with Roxas, it did affect Sora's heart which was inside Roxas at the time... which affected Sora as well. This would have caught Ansem off guard because he figured that Roxas had Sora's heart, so Sora was no longer connected to his own heart... which Namine proved it to be wrong by coming in contact with Roxas. Does that make any sense?

 

Then again, Ansem's treatment of the Nobodies is exceptionally deplorable. Not to mention unbecoming of a scientist; he completely denies the possibility that Nobodies are able to develop into fully-formed persons.

It's possible that he considered Roxas as having a heart since his "somebody" was still alive and kicking. Perhaps he was acknowledging that. Something tells me he didn't think Roxas had a heart to call his own, rather something that belonged to Sora.

It could also be a mistranslation. Given the confusion between Roxas and Sora's identities, and the fact that they're mentioned in the same sentence and all. I wouldn't be surprised.

Granted, I'd buy that Roxas has a heart. You can refer to my post in the similarly named thread nearby for my thoughts on that.

Roxas IS basicly "Sora's Heart", the dark half anyways. Roxas got in contact with Kairi because Roxas is half of Sora and Kairi and Sora are connected through thier "hearts" if you will, inturn it affected Sora.

So Roxas dose'nt have a heart, he basicly is the heart :).

 

No, Roxas got in contact with Kairi because of Namine.

 

No, Roxas is a product, if you will, created solely from Sora. He is Sora's body and soul.

Namine on the other hand was created from a combination of Sora and Kairi. She is made of the scraps of the leftovers of from Roxas' birth and nothingness. But she also was born with the image of Kairi as her heart was the base of her creation.

As sora969 said their contact is from Namine and her meddling.

 

He was referring to Sora, almost 99% sure. He later tells Roxas that he doesn't have the right to "be" as a Nobody, and Nobodies don't have hearts. He couldn't have joined with Sora if he had a heart, because they wouldn't be whole. Roxas also talks at the end about meeting his original self with Namine. Sora had the heart, and Roxas had the "being". Namine put all four of themselves in contact with each other because she was fixing Sora's memories, which were about Kairi, and Roxas had his memories from having a part of Sora.
