Kingdom Hearts II Roxas' dual weilding

Ok, I've been wondering this for a while, but never could bother to put it up

Roxas can dual weild as seen when fighting him in KH2FM and while playing as him. He also seemsto have dual weilded in the org., as there is 2 keyblades on his tombstone in TWTNW.

But in the promo vids., of 358/2 days we see him with 1 keyblade. Some people would say something like; 'That was just a preview, and so they didn't show the big stuff'.

But if that's true..., then why was Axel surprised when he had 2 keyblades while fighting him in the mansion basement? That's the major thing that confused me...., so what's the deal with that?

 

i would guess he does both single wield AND dual wield. it seems as though he only dual wields in the most dangerous situations which is why Axel never knew?

 

it could be that axel thought that since his memories were being messed with at the time when they fought that maybe he wouldn't be able to use his full power and only use the kingdom key

 

I agree.I bet he can choose to dual weild but is more satisfied with only using one.He seems to do better with one keyblade.Axel was surprised because he didn't know that Roxas could weild 2.

 

Im sure Axel knew he could use two, but at that point Roxas seemed to regain his memories and pulling out the two keyblades was a sign of that. It also ment more trouble for axel.

That's what I thought..., but I just feel like there's also another reason...

 

Oh,I didn't think that he knew it.From his expression,he looked like he was shocked.That got me thinking he didn't know.

 

ok realistically its a plot hole without being a fan and filling in stuff they had axel say "two!" was just to emphasize that it was the first time we saw anyone use 2 keyblades outside of the flashbacks and the secret ending of KH

but I'd say as a fan roxas learned how to use 2 keyblades during his stay with the organiazation

 

I agree, that was in the time that Roxas spend in the virtual Twlight town, and Axel and the Org. thought Roxas lost his memories.

Maybe Axel was surprised because he never watched Roxas fighting

 

He's surprise because in 6 days Roxas goes from not even knowing what a Keyblade is to actually dual wield, which implies the recovery of his lost memories and powers IMHO.

 

Maybe, also we never seen Roxas and Axel in the same place when fighting

 

This question gets asked a lot and there is a thread in the 358/2 Days section debating it currently so I am going to close this one since Roxas is not even in the first Kingdom Hearts game.
