Kingdom Hearts II Roxas and Axel

In Kingdom Hearts II, it is said many times that Roxas and Axel are best friends. However, it is also said that Nobodies do not have feelings for anyone or anything. How is it that they can be friends?

 

I'm pretty sure it's because they remember what it felt like to have a heart, and can emulate feelings.

Something like that. I haven't played kh2 in a while.

 

It´s posibly because, nobodies objective is having a heart, and maybe they pretend they have feelings.
I also think that in Axel´s and Roxas´s case they weren´t like all nobodies, if you pay atention in Kh2 Axel sacrifises his life in order to save Sora and his friends... so what I think is that Roxas changed something in Axel, wich would explain why they are "friends", and, and forgive me if it sounds stupid, but I think Roxas DID have some kind of feelings, I mean you can´t expect him to be a normal Nobody if he is the Keyblade master´s nobody, apart when he was in the other twilight town he felt something for his friends.

 

I always thought that it was because they both still had their somebody. If their heart still lives, then they have a half-heart. Sort of. Like, Roxas's somebody (Sora) still lived, so he held part of his heart, so he had to have some heart. I thought it was the same with Axel. But, I could be wrong.

 

Because Roxas made Axel feel like he had a heart.

 

I believe that Roxas actually still had some part of his Heart or the Keyblade, which works with people of good Heart, is part of the situation. Axel did ask Roxas if he felt he had a Heart and I do think that even though the Nobodies couldn't feel their own emotions (as they lacked them), they were somewhat empathic to others'. Axel did want his Heart back and did study Sora in CoM finding him interesting and obviously knew about Roxas. Xemnas even made a comment that Axel wanted his Heart back. So that combined with Roxas having some semblance of a Heart probably made them somewhat close.

 

What was that saying?

We all know roxas is a true nobody. we saw how he came to existance.

xemnas thought he could use axel, so while axel was running home down the street after school, getting ready to watch the next episode of Magic School Bus, Xemnas came out of nowhere, bashed axel on the head and brought him back to his base. Xemnas then called a meeting among the other nobodies. They were all to pretend that axel was "one of them." They dressed him up, and gave him missions, and took away his last name. from the on, he was Axel, member number 6. Not a real nobody.

Good explanation for Roxas, but what about Axel?

 

Something that has always been sitting in my mind when these sort of discussions pop up. If Roxas didn't have a heart, he would have noticed while in Twilight Town. I mean, he was angry at Seifer, happy with his friends and was sad when Hayner had an 'I'm not your friend anymore' phase.

 

That was because DiZ gave him an alternate personality.

 

Well it might that Roxas had some influence over Axel, and because of the theory I gave you for Roxas might make that influence strnger to the point that he gave him "feelings", or just a porcentage of what having feelings would be like.

 

How can they be friends?

Well as I've seen people say and have read many times that the nobody's fake emotions, it would make it easier for them to survive right? So you could say that their friendship was fake.

I also believe that Roxas has half a heart. Therefore he could have felt some sort of emotion- anger, happiness, sadness etc. Axel may have been piggybacking of those emotions however I believe he may have actually began to feel something after a while. I mean Roxas was in the organization for nearly a year but the emotions probably didn't creep up on him until near the end of his "life".

Umm I actually think there's more but I can't think of it right now.

 

But Ansem himself admitted that the virtual inhabitants of Twilight Town didn't act in the way he had expected, despite being made from data collected from real hearts. If this is true, then why should we believe that he really succeeded in altering Roxas' personality? Besides, he was clearly back to his old, homicidal personality by the sixth day.

But that means roxas has the same effect on people that sora does. Roxas' personality may be a little more reserved than sora's but he can be just as emotional, not to mention always willing to do the right thing and willing to search for who he is. In all the kh games so far, sora has had an effect on people in which they have wanted to be his friend, and wanted to help him on his journey. Axel sees this in roxas, and because of this, may have triggered strong memories from his human self. After all, only xemnas and roxas dont remember what their human selves are like. Axel says himself that roxas makes him feel more human. Maybe roxas is generating memories in axel that make him feel this way. When roxas was leaving (i.e. "dying") axel had a memory of sadness so strong that he cried...

but DiZ didnt alter roxas' personality. DiZ only erased Roxas' memories and gave him new ones, making him think he was apart of twilight town and one of its inhabitants. Roxas was still as contemplative as he was before his memories were erased.

 

This is what I think too. I think Roxas had a semblance of a Heart on his own or via the Keyblade possession to his ties with Sora so he was different. As for Axel, he made the comment that he felt he had a Heart when around Roxas. I believe he was empathic and picked up the emotions from Roxas and it reminded him of his own and so therefore he could feel things and yes, even drop a tear in that scene on the tower. I think at that moment he found his Heart and so when he left that's where he went off to as Namine declares in the novel. Axel did, after all, sacrifice himself for another person, which none of the other Org members did.

THAT is because he bagan to see through the illusion the town was creating.

 

I know this has already been said, but I agree with the statement...

I think the nobodies really have feelings, they just pretend not to XD
But in all seriousness, each of the members of Org.XIII should have at least a little feeling left in them if they don't.....but I suspect that they do.
