"Yes it is..." Becky said as she got off of him. "It's my fault you got hurt..." she said, here eyes full of tears. She helped him slowly sit up.

The driver got out of the car and ran over to them. "Hey, are you ok?" she asked them in urgency

 

Evan smiled and gently lifted his arm to wipe her tears away, "its not your fault Becky....." he said hugging her the best he could, he heard the driver but didn't bother to stop hugging Becky, "I'm fine...."

 

Becky hugged him. "I'm so sorry..." she said as she put his arm over her shoulder and helped him stand up. "We're fine ma'm," she said to the driver. "It was my fault and I'm sorry... have a good day." she began to walk Evan to the nurse's office.

 

"Don't be...." Evan smiled, "I was then one who didn't treat you like the special girl you are....and for that I am sorry.....you mean so much to me Becky...."

 

Becky blushed as they walked in the front door of the school.

 

Alexa walked around the school absent mindedly listeing to music.

 

They passed Alexa, "hey there....." he smiled looking up, "you look like you have been doing something physically challenging....." he grinned, "your Alexa right...?"

 

Becky turned towards Alexa. "Hey," she said, looking down. She felt guilty for Evan getting hurt.

 

"Yes, no, maybe so," Alexa said in a musical tone and laughed when she took off her head phones. "I've been sore forever since I've started going to that arcade. Your Evan and Becky. I know Evan because of my brother and Becky because I met up with you..sometime," she said.

 

Becky looked up at Evan. "We need to get you to the nurse..." she said.

 

"what happened?" Alexa said looking at Evan and Becky.

 

Mike walked to the school cause he was bored

 

Becky looked down. "I wasn't paying attention and started to walk across a crosswalk when the light was red..." she said sadly. "And he pushed me out of the way before I could get hit... but he scraped his back... I'm sorry..." she said and looked at him.

 

Evan smiled and reached up touching Becky's cheek, "I'm fine Becky...." he smiled, "Alexa want to come with us.....I'd feel better about not being bored with you two there...." he grinned.

 

Tears of guilt started to run down Becky's cheeks, but she quickly wiped them away and looked at Alexa. "Yeah... why don't you come with us?" she asked.

 

"Don't cry Becky....." Evan smiled, "you didn't do anything.....I'll be fine....lets head inside...."

 

"Right..." Becky said as she tried to hold back her tears. She knew that he was only saying that to make her feel better...

She helped him walk into the nurses office.

 

Evan leaned over and kissed Becky's cheek, "I'll be fine love...." he smiled laying in a bed, "might take longer than either of us would like....but still....."

 

Becky bit her lip trying to hold back tears. She knew that he would be ok, but she still felt bad about getting him hurt...

"Excuse me for a second..." she said as she ran out of the room and sat against the wall in the hallway and started to cry. Her lip was bleeding from her biting it so hard. She felt really bad for getting him hurt... and the only reason she didn't pay attention to the light was because she wanted to get away from him...
I'm such an idiot... she thought as she cried softly.

 

Evan forced himself up off the bed, "She seemed so sad....." he said limping to the door and looking out, "I thought I told you I would be fine.....you don't need to cry...." he smiled walking over and sitting by her, he gently put his arm around her, "I love you Becky....." he said giving her a gentle squeeze.
