Rise​

So, assuming I'm within the rules to make this clan, this will be the new clan: Rise. Its purpose: To bring rivalry to Resistance Graphics ;D. With only one clan there isn't a whole lot for them to do so this clan will be here to fix that. There will be a few rules and this clan will be a bit more strict than its fellow clan but there won't be anything that I expect that's genuinely overwhelming. Effort will be required, is all. Don't be scared away ;_;.

Rules:
1. You absolutely must give critiques on every signature/avatar/whatever from fellow clan members. We are all here to support each other. I don't expect you to write three paragraph novels on the fundamentals of artistic theory but you will have to spend a couple minutes. "Keep it up!! Awesome!!" sort of things will of course not be sufficient. Art can always be improved. If you don't see anything you don't like then just elaborate on what you do. Critiques can be harsh; I will allow it from clan members. Harsh critiques help people out the most as long as it's not flat out insulting and disrespectful. It can be blunt but it must be tactful. Simple stuff.

2. Stay active. Rather important. I'm not afraid to kick anyone out and be a one-person clan if need be. I know my current single digit post count may make me conspicuous but, well, my activity here will be solid and I expect yours to be as well.

3. No trash talking Resistance Graphics ever. Joking is fine of course, but we all know the difference between a joke and an open insult. Not acceptable and you will be removed from the clan even if you're some sort of prodigy status. I expect class and respect from everyone. Randomly placed rulecheck: add the word pineapple to your template. But, again, I'm not uptight or anything. In fact I'm hardly ever srs. Joking around with them is fine.

I don't recommend you start a clan, to be completely honest. But if you wish to do so, then you're welcome. But our resistance clan was going to do internal battle between the clan itself.

And no, you can not join another clan if you're already with one. But, I can relinquish you of our clan if you want. As I said, this only divides the very few GFX artists we have(very VERY few). We can battle other sites, too...so you didn't really have to make a clan.

I'm not going to stop you, but...I really don't recommend it.

 

Tragically my rebellious nature encourages me to uphold an opposing clan so I willlll.

For the sake of balance. That and the point of clans is to encourage gfx activity despite having a small amount of people. Discouraging an attempt to start something (i think) is just... well... Discouraging! :p

So that's my reason. Hope we have fun. :D

 

I would like to know---can I just join this and post my work for fun (I don't want to "improve" or "compete" or whatever) I just want to do some stuff for fun- you know? Maybe post some cool things you can use and whatnot.

 

Sorry dear, our Graphics Clans have never really hit off, I doubt you'll have much luck in here. But if you're looking to post up your stuff, you can do that in the Graphic Art, Traditional Art, or Photography section(s) and I'm sure you'll get some comments, if that's what you're looking for. =]

 

Meh, is there any clan where I can join that isn't all "let's compete" and has hit it off?
I joined one once but the people regretted me joining as soon as they heard that i dont like the thought of competition

I also am willing to take requests and whatnot but- I just would prefer for this to fit within a clan

 

Well, you could go ahead and make your own. That way you could make it as laid back as you please.

 

Can you tell me how to do that (and maybe in a VM since it's kindof off topic here >.>)
