Rise of the Organization

"Not if it was a masterpiece, no. But I've never seen one so what do I know?" Tana replied, turning the picture around and signing it with her name and a title. "What do you think?"

 

He examined it and nodded. It's perfect. Could use a little more shadowing, but otherwise it's ok.

 

Tana looked at him and laughed, "That was a very contradicting statement. Perfect and okay." she grinned and looked back at the picture. "Thanks though, I don't usually get feed back from anyone. It helps a lot." she started flipping through the book vaguely, stopping to look closer on a few that looked like self portraits but were labled "Linny". Then she closed the book and started putting her supplies back in her bag.

 

He leaned back. So you draw on your free time?

 

"Yeah. Mostly people, somehow drawing them seems to make them more human and it makes me feel whole, like I said before." Tana said seriously, "What do you do in your free time?"

 

He shrugged. I do a lot of things. I daydream, think what's going to happen about the future, talk with Sora, and draw.

 

"That's cool." Tana said, leaning back on her arms. "It must be fun to live here, on the island."

 

He almost looked sad. Not really.

 

Tana picked up on his tone, "Why not?" she asked, puzzled.

 

He sat up. It just doesn't feel whole without a family. It like leaves a huge gap in you.

 

Tana nodded but couldn't relate to missing her family, only her sister. "Yeah, but I guess friends can help with that gap, right?"

 

He thought about it. You could say that. It's just if they could be replacements.

 

Tana bit the inside of her lip. "I hope no one could replace someone else. But I think friends could become a kind of family in their own..."

 

That's what I meant.

 

"Oh, right." Tana jokingly slapped her head. "I miss stuff sometimes." she looked out the window and watched the waves silently.

 

He sat up. Sometimes, I wished I had a replacement sister. You can't go wrong. Sora is like a brother to me.

 

"That's cool. Siblings are the best." Tana looked away from the window. "I still think you must have had some fun on this island, especially if you had someone who was like a brother to you."

 

You're right, but it doesn't feel the same without my sister.

 

"You guys were close?" Tana asked, interested.

 

He looked confused. What do you mean by close?
