Anybody considered that maybe Riku got his 'Way to Dawn' keyblade from Roxas in the form of Oblivion, who originally got his keyblade from Xion as the second kingdom key?

In other words, Roxas' second keyblade and the keyblade Riku uses are synonymous.

    Thoughts?

I think it was making more of a reference to Riku wielding Oblivion rather than Way To Dawn.

I thought that Riku turned his souleater into a keyblade because the way to the dawn holds elements of it with the new found light in Riku's heart.......but it does make sence that Roxas gave him the ability like Xion gave him the ability to use two keyblades at the same time he just molded his own keyblade from the original shape of oblivion. Also thanks to that quote I know what Xion's name means but does it still rearange to spell

(put that up just in case someone hasn't completed the game or doesn't want to know)

It's clear from that quote from the "Another Reports" that Soul Eater transformed into Way To Dawn. Somehow Riku was able to redeem himself and regained a keyblade once the darkness of Xehanort's heartless was cleared. Now it's possible that Xion helped reawaken or help regain his ability to wield, but Way to Dawn and Roxas' Oblivion are not the same thing.

I'm just saying as my thoughts. It wasn't a reference to Way To Dawn.

    Yes. Why?

Pretty much what I said. *Shot*

Im am Ashamed of you all. how can you call yourselves Days fans? *jking of course* maybe some of you got that idea because wen aquipped with zero gear roxas gets oathkeeper and oblivion, and Riku get way to dawn, and hiow rikus friend ship with sora gave roxas oblivion, right? WRONG! Riku, in mission mode, is only able to equip the Oblivion keyblade when he equips Pandoras Gear.in story mode, riku can only use it when roxas tosses it up to him to fight off the neoshadows *he wasnt throwing it at him, he was tossing it TO him*.

    No :(
Riku got his keyblade at the end of Chain of Memories I think, and I know that the name of the keyblade came from the ending of Reverse/Rebirth when he said he'd walk on, "The road to dawn."

No. He didn't get it in the end of Reverse/Rebirth. Only the name came from it.

But as for the other issue, WilliamTheWise is correct. Besides, Xion only awakened Roxas' innate ability to dualwield. And, if you re-watch the scene after the battle, you first see Riku striking Oblivion to the ground, after which Roxas re-summons it.
