Riku's log...

How come everytime there's a flashbak of destiny islands, Riku is always carrying a log? Thoughts?

 

I don't think it has any significance to the game or to the story...

It might just be because that's when we noticed him the most; the first 10 minutes of the game when he threw that log to Sora for example.

 

Rofl I never noticed that. xD Well, he's not always carrying a log, but.. lol I guess most of the time he IS carrying it.

well, anyways...I think it's cause when you first see Riku, it's what he has with him.

If a log can own Sora,

And Sora can own Riku (granted, it took an entire game/manga for him to do so),

Then a log can own Riku. Simple as that! D:<

((Spoilers, o'course.))

But, er, on a more serious note (sort of), If you haven't noticed, there was a veeeery small amount of time that you saw Riku on-screen/in the manga where he wasn't an antagonist in KH1. That was one of the few moments where he WASN'T trying to kill Sora. And I'm sure that during flashbacks, Sora would rather remember Riku as being his best friend.

Hmm...I suppose the flashbacks so happened to go the time when Riku was getting/holding a log for some reason...either for a raft or something else...​

 

I think it's just because he looks cool with it, and I want a log of my own too.

 

I don't think the significance is held in the log, instead I think the significance is held in what the log represents. I think the log represents Sora Riku and Kairi preparing to leave the island, it's a way of showing how simple life was back then.

 

LOL this topic's title is hilarious. xD Well, he likes logs?? o_o Probably for the raft, but he said he would check on the raft... so... << maybe it wasn't finished yet... either that or yes, I go back to the guess he likes logs.

I agree, I think it's Sora trying to remember the old Riku, his best friend, not his new enemy.

its his favorite log he carries it around everywhere he was born with it. just kidding but i guess that log is for the raft

Because Riku's log is like his little brother... RIKU LOVES THE LOG!!!
And I'm only saying this for...no reason whatsoever...
But really, its probably to show off his strength and muscles.

Well, they're Sora's flashbacks, aren't they?
I think he'd remember the last time Riku was happy-go-lucky, and not all "I'm not afraid of the darkness! I'm better with a keyblade than you! Kairi needs ME!" like he got. =D And that time would have to be while they were building the raft, right...?

Or the artist likes drawing Riku's arms like that to show off his build... XD

 

Maybe it's because the log is actually Riku's pet log~!! 8D

Nah, just cause he's a hardworker and he didn't own a keyblade that time.
