Kingdom Hearts II Riku's clothes

Where do u suppose he got it? We saw him in CoM with his KH1 outfit and that was it...

 

Perhaps he got them from Mickey or maybe even Ansem the Wise... They were taking care of him over the year that Sora was asleep and all...

Maybe during his journey he aquired them. It was never specificed as to where just that in the time lapse that you got new clothes. But it was a little odd that when he reverted back to his normal self the clothes seemed to shrink with him.

 

I would imagine he got them sometime in the last month or two since he seemed to sprout up and his old clothing would have been way too small. Riku grew around 5 inches with his growth spurt so he probably picked them up at Radiant Gardens or somewhere in the real Twilight Town perhaps, since they both have more 'modern' clothing. Maybe as others said, DiZ gave him some, but Riku seems pretty independent and would probably just try to find something that would work as a solution himself.

 

my theory is it happend in TWTNW. when the thing exploded, and ansem the wise died, not only did it turn him back to normal, but it somehow altered his clothes.

 

Similar to how the Three Good Fairies altered Sora's clothing with magic?

nah srsly i agree with the few ppl that said he got them the same way Sora did of the fairies

 

I don't think Riku got them from magic at all. They are just plain clothes you could almost see someone wearing on the street. Also there was nothing magical about them. Sora's could get him to have Forms and all. Riku's were just plain every day sorts of attire. Also, I don't think he'd just take off the robe, which was magical, and not know what he was wearing underneath, so I'd think he'd have gotten himself clothing. After all, he just wore the cloak to be incognito and examine the Org. I am sure he wasn't always wearing the robe every single moment until he actually had no choice but to, because he altered into 'Ansem''s form.

 

Well he must have gotten them somewhere.

I suspect he bought them before he was ordered to hunt Roxas. I doubt the Org and others who wear the cape wear nothing underneath.

Also, the guy has just been purged of Darkness. I would Rip off my robe to see my body if I had just undergone such a massive change!

Maybe Riku is proud of his body and hung out at nude beaches in his off time.

 

Was that sarcasm? I'm so used to you being so literal all the time.

But I’m fairly sure that he was sure of what he was wearing. When he ripped off the robe he didn’t look down at himself to see what he was wearing, he was looking straight ahead.


I just noticed something though. Ansem had that same coat but Riku never took the thing off as Ansem. Was he embarrassed about what Ansem wore under the coat?

 

Maybe he was afraid Sora or someone else would do something to him.

 

I do agree with that... And, watching that cutscene when Riku fights Roxas (before he goes all "Ansem" on Roxas) he already looks like he got his KH2 clothes (you'll notice that his hair is the same as in KH2, which means he must have grown by then).

So, he probably got them sometime before then as well.
