    Riku hands down!!!! If Sora and Riku fought, Sora would be destroyed!!!!! Think about it Riku is better at using the darkness then Sora is using the light!!!!:starwars: I know somebody agrees with me:ninjacat:

    As a character, I like Sora more - well, at least for the first two games; in Kingdom Hearts II he's stupid beyond comparison, but in the first two games, especially Chain of Memories, he showed that he isn't always a stupid immature brat, but while Naminé rearranged Sora's memories she must accidentally have made him forget he isn't an idiot. In KH II, I'd say I like Riku more than Sora simply because he actually shows some maturity in the game.

    If the two were to battle, I'd still say Sora. I'm not saying Riku is weak, but he got whooped by Sora even while he had access to all the powers of Xehanort's heartless and had the dark keyblade. That coupled with the fact that Sora defeated a physically exact replica of Riku four times and that the Keyblade chose Sora over Riku would indicate that Sora is indeed stronger than Riku. The ending of Kingdom Hearts II also gives the impression that Riku admits Sora being stronger than he is.

    I don't think it's just when people say that Sora spent so much time looking for his friends and Riku didn't care. They were both equally dedicated to finding eachother in KH1, they just took different paths. It's understandable that Riku would feel jealous, because he's human and in a state of emotional weakness. That's my biggest beef with Sora; he almost never gets angry or depressed, and when he does, it's only for a second. He is a stoic hero, and nothing phases him enough to even remotely stray from his goal.

    Once Riku comes to his senses, he can't forgive himself for his actions. During Reverse Rebirth, he is able to subdue the darkness, but accepts that he cannot completely get rid of it because it is half of him. This is a very important concept. Up until this point, the darkness has been seen as completely evil. However, the truth is that darkness resides in everyone, and if it's not harnessed it can backfire.

    When Sora is sleeping, Riku assists DiZ and Namine in restoring Sora's memories. He goes so far as to find Roxas and capture him. Even after his long battle with the darkness in CoM, Riku selflessly gives himself to the darkness so Sora will wake up. This isn't an act of cowardess, but an act of friendship. He spent so much time and effort containing the darkness and trying to forgive himself for using it. It must not have been easy to sacrifice himself and make all that time spent recovering go in vain, but he did it for Sora.

    Riku and Sora both had the same goal in mind, the difference is that Riku's path was not as glorious and he he sacrificed much more for it.

    Sora. And then I would buy Sora shaped Candies, and cookies. CAUSE I WUV MY SORA!

    Storywise, Sora is stronger than Riku (he beat Riku so many times and even when Riku had gained even more power Sora still beat him). So there isn't really a contest, Sora would win no matter what. It's just that Riku is slightly more awesome, but neither of them is as awesome as Roxas. Roxas FTW!!!

    RIKU! aw man...if Dredica saw this...

    but yeah...Sora is more powerful, after all he can fall back on his beserker rage that allowed him to kick xemnas' ass or that huge beam of light...plus it seems like if he really wants to, he can fly (last few battles of kh1 and kh2) flying + thundaga...Riku= Human lightning rod...

    still, i like riku more. hes smarter and faster and could definately complete Sora's journey in kh2 on his own. (No party members) Hes even better than Sora with a sword...his magic has a little to be desired though...

    Man, poll is closed!!!! xD I'd say Sora cuz' you play as him, and if you're awesome, that must mean, HE has to be awesome. (at fighting) He's WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY nicer than Riku (HE'S not nice at all) and he's not overconfident. and he's the Keyblade's chosen one. xD
