Riku s Hair

Actually, this makes me wonder if they'll change models for Kingdom Hearts III, and what they'd look like if they do.

 

Oh I'm sure they will. We can probably expect them to at least get new clothes, maybe even some more features to show how they've aged? Like we got between CoM and 2.

For whatever reason, I can't see that image without thinking of Neku_Sakuraba, or however you spell it, that guy who joined here a while ago and disappeared.

Just want to say though, that was one of the most forced comedy bits I have ever seen, and it wasn't funny at all. I actually kinda hate it.

 

Actually, the 3DS is the overall most powerful system a KH game has appeared on to date (unless you want to count the PS3 with the HD Collections)
Now, that doesn't COMPLETELY rule out the possibility of hardware limitations. The worlds ARE bigger, and flowmotion is probably a moderately taxing system (Plus games that have large customizeable parties like the Dream Eaters tend to eat up resources, that's why DDD has only two save files)

 

Yeah, but is that enough to require Riku to have shorter hair? I doubt it, there are plenty other places to cut corners before Riku's hair.
I guess it's possible, but to me it seems more likely that it is just symbolic.

I mean, MAYBE they thought his costume was too vital to the story for them to downgrade, so they went for the hair? But yeah, unlikely

 

Maybe they wanted to make a new character model for Riku like they did Sora, and rather than just going back to exactly what he looked like in KH1 they decided to set up for what he will look like in the future?

I don't know, I'm pulling this out of nowhere.

 

Oh, I HATE how it looks now.. he looked so badass with the long hair in my opinion. It really fit his character as well. They should at least bring it back to how it was in KH1.. the short hair thing REALLY looks awkward in my opinion.

On a side note..

Personally, I think the kid looks better with short hair. His long hair just makes him look a little... feminine I suppose.

I don't really mind about Riku's hair being short, but I am always used to his long hair in KHII.

I think that the change is good. He can always grow his hair out if he doesn't like it.

Anyways, Idk. I really liked Riku's hair in KH2. I hope he grows it out for KH3.. but obviously, it won't be as long as it was in KH2 (sadly) because the only reason his hair was that long then was because a year passed in between KH1 & KH2. And I'm assuming there won't be too big of a gap between DDD & KH3.

I dont care actually, but I prefer his long hair in KH 2. It fits to his personality a lot better.
