Riku Kingdom Hearts

Did they ever make a kingdom hearts about riku only being the main character (reason i ask is because of kh fm and kh2 fm) like the entire game debutted to riku. i mean they should so we can see what he did after he left Castle Oblivion i know he met Xion and fought Roxas but still what did he do to before the storylined builded up to that point?

 

They haven't and the closest thing we might even get to that is KH 3D.

 

Yeah, Riku has yet to have his own game, which is a bit bogus, if you ask me because there was so much that went on in his time away from the islands.

There used to be four untold stories: Roxas' time in the Organization, Xehanort's past, The period of the King's absence, and the period of Riku's absence.

Roxas' time in the Organization is 358/2 Days
Xehanort's past is Birth By Sleep
And the King and Riku's absences have yet to be told.

 

Well, Chain of Memories did have a Reverse/Rebirth mode, where you played through Riku's experiences in Castle Oblivion. Dream Drop Distance, the upcoming game, will switch between Sora and Riku. But we haven't gotten an entirely Riku-centric game, no--though I'm not sure I'd want one. I think part of why Riku is such an interesting character is the mystery.

 

I got to say I think it would be good to see EVERYTHING Riku did during 358/2 Days.... some parts are still blank

 

But for the most part he...
a) looked after Sora
b) snuck about as the "Organization Imposter"
or c) did whatever DiZ told him to.

Not everything Riku did in Days was even relevant... the most important actions were shown to us.

What I would indeed like to see is a bit of backstory as to what he did in KH and KH2 when Sora doesn't see him... what did he do behind the scenes? Did he just stalk Sora using the dark pathways or did he do more to cripple the Organization...?

 

Actually, I like this point. Riku is one of the most enticing characters in the story and I guess what makes part of him so cool is that he's one of main characters without a backstory; or at least, not much of one.

 

Closest so far to a Riku centred game is Reverse/Rebirth. Personally i'd love to play as Riku in the time between leaving castle oblivion and helping Xion. Can you imagine some of the places you could go to? I'm picturing a stealth mission where Riku must sneak around lol
