well in the physical sence yes but if you remember the quotes of Kingdom Hearts: "I reached inside your Heart and destroyed your memories" Namine CoM

These quotes aren't exsact but they exsplain the veiw

but then again there is no proof that Castle Oblivion itself doesn't have memory abilities. Namine can play around with memories but I don't think she had the ability to make people to forget places and faces.

 

Not completely get rid of them, but i think she can make them forget who the people are, much in the same way she did to Sora.

 

Namine can't destroy memories at all; she can only manipulated them and twist them around a bit. She can add or extract whatever she likes.

 

Okay, the reason Xion was born on Castle Oblivion is because

she is a replica Vexen created while he was there, same as Repliku.

Moreover, the castle doesn't seem to have any adverse effects at all. Or else Riku would have lost all his memories. Which he didn't. Namine can meddle with hearts. She was able to break Repliku's memories or something, right?

 

The way namine makes people forget about things is by taking those links and removing them from the chain. The links however are not destroyed and are still in the person's heart, they simply don't connect to the chain anymore. It is because of this that A) Sora was still able to remember Kairi a little bit towards the end of CoM. B) Namine was able to fix Sora's memories afterwards.

Speculation, but it seems that your true memories are in your heart and that your mind can copy them. Not positve though.

A thought that occured to me though. Is the whole making floors from your memories bit a natural piece of Castle Oblivion? That piece isn't required for Namine to work and we also see Riku going through it.

 

It seems that way, but I don't know if that's for everyone. I'm for sure that there's twelve basements and thirteen floors, that's absolute, but for others besides Sora and Riku, I don't know what they're used for.

 

I dont think its a natural piece of C.O, Sora & Riku were the only ones that went through the whole floors with their memories because it was created and planed out by the organization, diz, & xehanorts heartless and not Castle Oblivion since it was they who created & gave them the cards. Castle Oblivion I guess it just makes people confused or as said by

This has pretty much already been answered, but I wanted to add something I found from Kingdom hearts wikia:

"Kairi's own body never became a Nobody because her heart lacked darkness (since she was one of the Princesses of Heart), so her body and soul were never able to leave the Realm of Light and thus made it seem like Kairi was in a comatose state until she regained her heart."

 

wait! Does this mean that Namine is acctually another Nobody of Sora?

 

That isn't really what the wiki was saying. Maybe at some point I'll go in and rephrase that. That is simply going back to our argument earlier where Kairi would have become a heartless and nobody back at Destiny Island except that she is a princess of heart. Because of that she entered a special case where she went comatose.


From a technical standpoint she seems to have some split ownership but is ultimately closer to Kairi than Sora. She was born from Sora's heartless (the only reason she exists at all) but was made with Kairi's soul (hence her phasing into Kairi at the end of KH2 and not Sora) and she is obviously a reflection of Kairi's heart. And really the last two are the ones that really count.

 

No. Namine is Kairi's Nobody, but thanks to Sora, she was created, so the two are connected. She was created at the same time as Roxas, when Sora lost his body due to becoming a Heartless, but unlike Roxas, she has Kairi's soul. Kairi did lose her heart, but remained in human form because she's a Princess of Heart and therefore has no darkness in her.

 

It isn't an artificial keyblade. It's the keyblade of peoples hearts. It is a keyblade created from the 7 princess' pure hearts and one of the only keys to kingdom hearts. Sora released his heart using this keyblade which I'm assuming his heart went to kairi like her heart went to him. He did it to release her heart which he released his own at the same time. Since sora isn't a being of FULL light, he turned into a heartless and was saved when kairi hugged him to protect him. At that time, Roxas and Namine were created.

Castle oblivion can't actually control memories. It was created after Aqua sealed the keyhole for land of departure. She changed the place up. Later when the nobodies found it and used it, They were luring sora in so the nobodies had a keyblade to use for the organization. Namine only has control of Sora's memories and those close to him, thus making everyone who knew sora forget him until he was ready to return.

There can be a couple of reasons why she was born in castle oblivion. Mind you all this is just MY theories and speculations but: A) It could have been by chance B) The connection Sora had to Ventus and land of Departure could have made her born there......
Correct me if I am wrong please?

 

The only thing I can comment on is that the Keyblade of peoples hearts was only made out of 6 of the princesses because Sora had Kairi's heart also when Sora used the Keyblade he released his and Kairi's heart hers was returned to her and Sora became a heartless his heart didn't go to Kairi lol Heartless are made from hearts remember
