And I'm paying for dinner tonight at The Counter, which is going to cost probably around $30 or so for just me and my mom, and I still want to pre-order the guide for Pokemon X/Y. It's going to take me a while to save up for a PS4
If it'll take too long, just save for a year and pick one up used. The price will probably be way down by then and people are bound to be selling them to second hand shops too.
Oh most probably, but I don't know what'll happen in a year's time. Maybe I'll get a job at a better place, maybe I'll get a raise....(hahahahahahah!! I make myself cry...), or maybe I'll just end up in the gutter faster than speedy Gonzales runs
Believe it or not, some people like to have an official guide as a collectible item. Others aren't very good with certain things related to battling, so they use guides for that. Still more just like to look at the pretty pictures.
There are some really nice pictures in some of those guides. And I've been grabbing them for every generation that I can think of. I had one for FireRed/LeafGreen, Emerald, Diamond/Pearl, Platinum, Black/White, and even the ones for the mystery dungeon games and ranger games. It's useful to have something when you need to find a little bit of information that just isn't anywhere on the web
Don't need to, it helps with other things like shows where items are, easy to miss things in-game, where to find specific pokemon and whether or not they're night or day appearance only, what levels pokemon evolve and learn moves, and one of the most useful is which TMs and HMs they can learn.
Man, I remember when it was a joy to be surprised when they evolve and when you find good items or run into a Voltorb... then after you beat the game you just look up the **** you want up on the internet.
Online doesn't give you everything you're looking for, or at the very least, what I'm looking for. Besides, I like to have something I can have right next to me and just look through right away instead of putting my 3DS down just to look for one simple thing that would take 10 minutes. Plus, serebii does a lot better with their item locations.
