Rider

"...Oh my god.." Jude was really irritating him now. He didn't have time for games. There might be a new lead to a rider he could catch! Racing ahead of her until he reached HQ, he skid to a halt and stepped inside, immediately looking back toward Jude. "If you got the call, you should know who to report to..right?" it was obviously the Chief or a mission briefer, but he was going to try and respond in the fashion that she did.

 

Jude smiled sweetly, her hair in a sort of a mess from running. She shook her head no, her eyes closed like in a smile.
"They just told me to report here." She answered, looking forward to the secretary, who seemed to be staring at them.

 

"..No place to report to?..you've got to be kidding me.." Tai hung his head in defeat and rubbed the back of his head, staring down at Jude's feet. "Of all the people they could have called, it was you..huh?" he sighed.

 

Jude giggled at his sigh, and took Tai by the arm, up the Secretary.
"Hey, it's that girl that was called this morning?" She said, the secretary stiffening.
"Yes Ma'am, they're in that hall. Last door to the right." She answered, as Jude turned to Tai.
"It's not as hard as it seems." She said like a child, moving towards the hallway.

 

"It's called efficiency.." Tai mumbled, following her and straightening up. At least progress was going to be made, but he wondered why they were called. And he wondered even more why they chose to call the slow one first.

 

When Valerie calmed down from her sudden outburst she looked around and noticed that there were actually people nearby when she screamed out like that, she giggled in embarrassment and blushed slightly. Next time if she ever decied she was going to yell something out, she would check if there people within the area so she could avoid embarrassing herself. "Oops." she muttered.

 

Aly climbed up the tree, trying to keep quiet. She narrowed her eyes, tryign to see past the leaves. Something had to be there, it couldn't be her imagination again. She held her breath, listening. Something had definetly moved. She tensed, waiting for it to spring, or for her to get a chance to.

 

Leon followed Aly after the two known police left and the girl with the teddy was acting embarassed. He followed Aly quietly up the tree and tried to see what she was looking at by peering over her shoulder, "What ya lookin' at?", he asked childishly, his English accent being broad again.

 

She jumped, almost falling over. "Dammit, don't do that!" she whispered, her heart pounding wildly. She put her hand to her chest, trying to calm down. "It was probably you! I thought something was following me."

 

"Looks like i'm getting better at startling people", Leon joked. This girl might be getting targeted by the Unknown, but why? he kept his serious thoughts in his head. "So this is your hiding spot around here?", he asked still acting childish.

 

She struggled to keep the smile off her face. "No, my hiding spot is my home, a few minutes away." she answered, regaining her balance on the tree. "Where is your hiding spot?" She almost laughed at the conversation they were having, but held it in check. Barely.

 

Leon entered a thinking pose for a moment, "Over the sea, can't hide there now", he joked laughing a little. "I doubt my hotel room would be safe enough", he continued.

 

She giggled, then covered her mouth with her hand, hiding her smile. It wasn't something she did usually. "I could hook you up with a place to stay." she offered, liking the guy for some odd reason. He was more open then the other guys, maybe.

 

"Thanks for the offer, but I already have my room booked for the next month", he said behind his kid like smile. "But it's good I could make someone laugh around here, everyone is uptight with these Unknown attacks", he said.

 

Aly nodded, her face quieting slightly. "I feel bad for all those people. At least I can defend myself to some degree......" she thought for a bit,her legs swinging from the tree branch. One small push and she could fall to the ground, and possibly break her neck. If she didn't' know how to land.

 

"Don't worry, i'm sure you've met the right people to protect you, and this city", he said. In one movement he had changed position and was now hanging upside down off a branch.

 

She watched him, a small smile playing on her lips. "What makes you say that?" she asked, her head tilted slightly. Her large green eyes watched him, laughter dancing in them. There was more to this guy then met the eye, that was for certain.

 

"Call it British intuition" he joked crossing his arms as he dangled from the branch swaying slightly in the breeze.

 

She giggled again, watching him. "You're going to fall." she commented, leaning against the main body of the tree, ready to grab his leg if he did fall. I laughed twice in one night, wow.......

 

"If I fall all the kings horses and all the kings men will put me back together again", he joked starting to feel the effects of the blood rushing to his head.
