Rider

"...Yeah..want to check it out? I can always take you home first though." Tai looked back toward her. He knew he should probably be bolting down there to help, but it wouldn't do any good to leave Aly alone to be attacked again.

 

Jude sat on a swing, seeing not one child near her playing. They were all gone, since the Unknowns were around here.
"Hmm..." She thought to herself, getting up from the swing. She was so small, it looked as though she was a teenager, not an Adult at age 20.

 

Aly slowly smiled, then nodded. "Let's go see what's going on. At the least, we'll know what was there." Her mind was thinking quickly. He was obviously an officer, born and bred, but would he turn her in if he knew? Well he didn't, so all the better.

 

Nodding to Aly, Tai looked toward her hand, wondering if he should take it. It might be too much though, but he didn't want to lose her along the way. With that weird rider running about, there was no telling what he'd try. "Take my hand?..or will you be okay?"

 

She grinned, then took his hand gently. "Just to be on the safe side." she demurred, interpreting his look. It wouldn't be good to get seperated by one of those monsters.

 

Tai smiled and began rushing toward the scene where Jude last was, holding Aly's hand tightly to make sure he didn't lose her. He'd be damned if she was hurt because of him.

 

Almost jerked off her feet, Aly laughed with exhilaration, trying to keep up. "I didn't know police were so fast!" she gasped, holding his hand tightly. She was anxious to see what had happened, but she couldn't help but enjoy this feeling.

 

Jude heard laughing near, a smile spreading across her face. She didn't know what it was about, she just wanted to have the feeling of happiness. Suddenly the two appeared, making Jude look up as if an excited puppy.
"Oh my goodness! Well arn't you two the cutest thing!" She said, stepping towards them, a country accent slipping.

 

Seeing Jude, Tai skid to a halt almost immediately and blinked. He recognized her as the Rai user, and his 'team member', but he never really worked with her, as she just seemed too soft. She was cute but..he didn't see a fighting spirit in her. "..What happened, we heard screaming...and me and Aly aren't a couple."

 

Jude smiled sly-ly, and nodded. She had the look that she was deceived.
"Mhmm..." She said, circling them. She then stopped being in front of them again, looking at Tai.
"I was attacked by another Rider. He was oddly against us. He hit me in the shoulder, but I recovered." Jude responded, shifting from the front of her toes, to the balls of her feet.

 

Aly stopped smiling, her eyes calculating. "Is there a reason we would be a couple?" she asked, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Or was that just a comment of someone who cared?"

 

Jude smiled sweetly, her head slightly tilting to the right.
"No, it just seemed that way, since you're close 'nd holdin' hands." She said like a child. Jude had a habit of acting like that when she was in a conversation with people, she's been trying to break it though.

 

On that note, Tai released Aly's hand and straightened up, not wanting Jude to get the right idea. She acted so childish it would be hell to convince her otherwise."..A rider, huh?..what powers did he have?" this might be just the lead he was looking for. And to pass the time, Tai checked Jude out, just for kicks. Maybe if she saw then she'd be more serious.

 

Aly rubbed her wrist almost selfconsciously, watching the two. Maybe she should have gone home...this wasn't her world, not her place. She belonged to herself, not to this. What was she thinking? She sighed quietly, rubbing the back of her head.

 

Jude saw Tai's eyes scan over her, and felt crimson hit her face. She began to giggle to herself, as she looked at Aly's expression.
"It's okay, hon. I don't really mean it." She said jokingly, looking back over at Tai.
"He had some sort of energy. It was like a ray of some sort. Deffinately Unknown." She said, and it actually sounded serious.

 

So she was immune.What a strong opponent she was.However, while his eyes slowly went back up to her eyes, the thought of that Unknown getting away irked him a little. "Did you damage it at all?..tell me you did." he narrowed his eyes and folded his arms. She had the looks..but skill was another story.

 

Aly sighed. He was such a guy. "If you two are going to play this game, I'm out of here." she muttered, tying her hair back. "I do have work to do, and I need to sharpen my skills anyway. I can go find it alone." it would be good practice anyway.

 

Jude looked at Aly, and thought that she must be in business.
"What? Busy girl can't have any fun?" She said, crossing her arms. Her features made it hard not to look. Jude looked over a Tai, and answered, "I couldn't. I was too busy trying to dodge the damn thing." She seemed embaressed answering with such simplicity.

 

Tai immediately glanced back at Aly, raising an eyebrow."What game?.." he questioned.Obviously she meant the checking out, but as to why she was getting so impatient, she didn't understand. It's not like she had to risk her life everyday to protect people.Turning back to Jude, Tai sighed in disappointment. Great team. "All right..describe the suit for me, and I'll treat you to ice cream or something." he was obviously treating her like a little pet when he did this, but he had respect enough to take it back if she got offended.

 

Aly rolled her eyes, then turned and looked into the woods. "I really don't think people have time for this." she said with a sigh, tapping her foot. She hated to seem to impatient, but what the hell were they waiting for? It's not like description helped. And the strange rider had saved her....that was food for thought. Maybe she should see if she could find him again and question him.
