"Oh... okay..
but only 'cause I'm hungry." she said sitting down and stretching out her leg with her bad ankle.
"But we'll talk about this again at some point ~Mm'kay?" she said with her innocent smile.

"Okay" Sora said when Iggy let him go. Not another one he thought

 

OOC: Who's Grace?

BIC: Kate had to bite her lip and look away to stop her collapsing in laughter at Iggy. "Priceless" She muttered, and the look on Sora's face, she wouldn't be forgetting that any time soon. Trying to regain her composure "So, food?" She said, though she couldn't prevent a grin creeping onto her face.

 

"Foooood!" Iggy repeated in delight, her tummy rumbling.
She was starving, apparently, bird kids needed to eat a whole lot more than the average person their age.

 

"Okay," Leilani laughed, grabbing a piece of tree bark. "Who wants to get some first?"

 

"Meeeeeeeeee!" Ignelia said, waving her arm in the air excitedly.

 

Kate laughed, "As hungry as I am, I get the feeling she wants it more. Give it to Ignelia, I'll wait my turn. I think there is more than enough to go round with the whole herd of deer you've cooked" Kate smiled and leaned back, she couldn't ever remember feeling so good. She loved to see Ignelia so happy, well all of them so happy. With all of them together, it felt like nothing else mattered, like all their troubles had flew away. If only for a brief time, everything felt perfect, their only little slice of paradise in a world out to get them.

 

"I know! We can share, Kate!" Ignelia said happily, shimmying along the ground to sit next to Kate.
Her long white wings were extended behind her. Slowly rising and falling in time with her breathing.

 

Leilani laughed, giving the two a portion of the food and berries. Next, she turned to Sora and gave him some too. Finally, she gave herself some and sat, her dark wings aching a little from the flight. Scooping up some berries, she smiled as she put them in her mouth. "Yumm."

 

Kate picked up a single berry and examined it, she didn't think she'd tasted berry before, well at least not this berry. After a moment's thought she plopped it into her mouth. She swirled it around in her mouth before squeezing it more and more until it burst, releasing it's sweet blood in her mouth. She smiled as its flavour swept over her taste buds introducing her to a whole new sensation. The forest's bounty, staining her tongue red like blackbeard as she sank back in guilty pleasure.

Ignelia started chomping into the food. She was starving, it felt like she hadn't eaten in months, and the way she ate showed it.
Suddenly she asked Leilani sweetly, "Seconds?"

 

"That was fast" Sora said looking down at his food,only half of it was gone

 

"...What?" Ignelia asked innocently at Sora's look. She then blushed cutely with a little embarrassment. "...I'm hungry... and it's so good..."

BIC: Leilani gave more to Iggy. "Don't get too hungry, Igg. These have to last us." She teased, fininshing her food and patting her stomach.

 

"I'm a growing girl." Ignelia commented.
"I need to eat if I want to become as big as you and Kate." She said between mouthfuls of food.
She quickly finished her second portion and decided to heed Leilani's advice.
She didn't want to leave none for the others... and her stomach for the first time felt satisfied somewhat.
Since she was sitting next to Kate, she rested her head on Kate's arm, stretching out her injured leg along the floor.
She liked to snuggle up with these guys. It was one of her favourite things to do besides glomping. She remembered when she had been younger and they were in the school, Leilani, Sora, Kate and... well...
Anyway, they would always let her snuggle with them when she was upset (providing they were in the same cage).
She wasn't upset now, but she had come to love the act.
He wings drooped slightly in a relaxed manner.

 

Kate smiled, glancing at Ignelia resting on her arm. She was eating at a reasonably pace, no where near the speed of Ignelia though. She was hungry but it was the best food they'd had in years, she wanted to enjoy it and make it last. Plus if they were persued, who knew when they'd next have a chance to sit down and relax like this. She was determined to enjoy it. She looked up at the darkening sky and smiled, pointing up, "Look it's the moon!" She'd not seen the moon much before this but somehow it looked much nicer now they were free. She'd always liked the night, maybe it was something to do with her owl genes.
