Rhaxas XIV This story takes place before Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories. Chapter 1 ~The Drop Off and the Appearance~ ~12 years ago~ The thunder boomed, the lightning struck, the waters rushing, and the night very dark. The man ran along in the woods, in a large brown hood. He carried in his arms, a toddler, Rhaxas. She cried and whimpered at the loud booming of the thunder, and the striking of the lightning. “Don’t cry Rhaxas. Never show fear. Fear will always bring you down,†the man said in his deep voice. He soon arrived upon a castle. “Organization thirteen, please look over Rhaxas,†he said to himself. He put the toddler down on the doorstep upon arrival. He lifted up his hood. He had honey colored eyes, long silver hair, and tan brown skin. He held her small hand. Her aqua eyes jumped up at his honey colored eyes. “Remember me Rhaxas. I cannot take care of you. I hope that Xemnas and his followers will. Remember the name, Ansem,†he said. Rhaxas held her hand out as he continued to hold it. She wrapped her hand around his index finger. Ansem let out a small sigh. In addition, slowly took his hand back as her small hand brushed along his index finger. “Dada,†she said softly. He backed up and pulled up his hood. He whammed his fist against the door to get someone’s attention. “Goodbye, Rhaxas,†he said then kissed her cheek as a tear went down his. He then ran off away from the doorstep, and over in the bushes. The younger version of Larxene opened the door. “Hello?†she asked in her pitchy voice. She looked down and saw Rhaxas. She gently picked her up. “A toddler?†she asked softly. She saw a golden locket around her neck. She saw the surface of the locket encrypted with the name “Rhaxas†“So your name is Rhaxas?†Larxene asked herself. The lightning continued to strike, and the thunder collapsed. “I better get you inside little one,†she said then walked through the doors. Ansem let out a sigh at the bushes. “Rhaxas the Ice charmer never forget me,†he said then ran off. Larxene walked into the living room holding Rhaxas in her arms. Younger versions of Roxas and Axel were sitting on the couch battling each other on the playstation. Axel was winning. Younger Zexion sat quietly in a recliner reading a spell book, younger Luxord shuffling up his deck of cards, and younger Marluxia watering the plants by the window. Zexion was the first to notice the baby. “Larxene, who is that child,†he asked. Everyone went from his or her activities to the small child. Larxene took a deep breath and sat down on the couch opposite of Axel and Roxas’. “Her name is Rhaxas. She was alone on the doorstep. I found this locket around her neck, with her name on it. I have yet to open it,†she said showing the locket around her neck. Marluxia walked over and picked up the small child out of Larxene’s arms. “You said her name was Rhaxas, right?†he asked. He removed a part of the cloth that was covering the child’s body. Her Aqua eyes stared up at his soft pink ones, her blonde hair in two small pigtails and her small yellow dress all crinkled. “Yes, I think there may be more information in the locket,†she said then opened it. Inside were a note and a picture of Ansem in his hood. He was in disguise. “That must be her father,†Zexion said looking at the locket. Larxene opened the folded up Note. It read: “Dear Organization Thirteen. I must leave my daughter Rhaxas with you. I am not able to care for such a young child without her mother. Her mother lost her heart during birth and unfortunately died. Therefore, my daughter has no heart. She is one of you. Rhaxas the Ice Charmer is her name. She is 3 years old, and I wish for her to keep her original name. She has two Sais blades strapped to her waist, and she is able to control the element Ice. I very much plead you take good care of her, and I hope to see how well she does in the future. ~Anonymous†“This child has a father, who cannot take care of her. She has no heart,†Larxene explained. Luxord looked at the small child. “This is not going to be easy, taking care of another child†Luxord said. “Yeah, we already have Roxas. He’s only 3 too,†Marluxia said. “Don’t worry. If there’s a will there’s a way,†Zexion said cheerfully. ~12 years later~ Roxas ran down the hallway, turning every corner he could possible. He had no shirt on, and he was in swimming trunks. He soon ran right smack into Axel. Axel did not budge, but Roxas fell over. “Hey there little buddy. Where are you off to in such a hurry?†Axel asked holding his hand out to help Roxas up. Roxas took his hand and pulled himself up using Axel’s help. “I forgot that I promised to take Rhaxas to the Crystal Lake,†he said. Axel laughed. “What so funny?†he asked. Axel stopped laughing. She then smiled. “Don’t worry. Rhaxas bumped into me a corner ago and was afraid she was going to be late to find you. If you hurry, you still might catch her. Got it memorized?†he asked. Roxas smiled and gave Axel a hug. “Thanks man,†he said then let go of the hug. Roxas ran through the vast hallways and finally made it to the door. Once opened, he saw Rhaxas standing over by a tree. She wore a brown and lime green bathing suit with small drawn hearts barley shaded in. The top fit perfect and the bottoms matched the top with ease. The bottoms were more like shorts than the bottoms of a bikini. Her long blonde hair drifted over her shoulders, her smile was so big and her body in a perfect figure. Her aqua eyes lit up in the sun. She was a bit shorter than Roxas. Roxas walked over in his sandy brown swimming trunks. “You ready?†Roxas asked offering her his hand. “I was born ready,†she said in her calm voice. She gently grabbed Roxas’s hand and walked along the path with him. “Roxas?†she asked after a while of walking. Roxas looked over at her as her smiled went to a frown. “What is it? Did something happen? Did someone do something to you?†he asked. She shook her head now softly as she closed her eyes. “I think something bad is going to happen today. This makes the 12th year I’ve been in Organization Thirteen,†she said. “Don’t think that,†he said wrapping his arms around her. He kissed her cheek. “Everyone has their on and off days,†he said. Rhaxas put on a fake smiled. “You’re right Roxas,†she said not so sure. Roxas frowned. “I’m sorry that I cannot cheer you up,†he said. Rhaxas looked over at him, her eyes sparkling. “You should not be sorry to me for my failure to be happy. I want you to be happy,†she said then wrapped her arms around him too. “I’m only happy when I’m with you. And when you are happy,†he said. He put his left arm around her waist, and his right arm on the back of her legs. He scooped her up into his arms. Rhaxas looked up into his eyes. “Roxas,†she said softly. She laid her head against his shoulders and he kissed her forehead. He continued walking until they both reached the Crystal Lake. The sun set up high and the trees gathered around ever so lush. He set her down gently. He took her hand and led her to the large lake. There were no banks only ledges. The Lake was thirty feet deep, and was about One fourth a mile round. A couple of trees hung over. Roxas grabbed her waist and gently lowered her into the lake. He then followed in. Rhaxas floated up in the water, half her hair drifting through. Roxas swam over to her and stroked her hair. “You are very beautiful Rhaxas,†he said. Rhaxas smiled. “You are very sweet Roxas,†she said. Roxas leaned over close to her. He put his face just inches away from hers. She blushed and closed her eyes softly; she puckered her lips and leaned over. Roxas closed his eyes softly also. Just before their lips could meet, they both heard a man. “Look at you Rhaxas. All grown up,†the man said standing over at a ledge leaning next to a tree. He was wearing the brown hood. “Who are you and what do you want!†Roxas yelled as he swam in front of Rhaxas in a protective way. “Me you ask? Rhaxas should as herself that question. Who is she? What does she want in life?†he asked. Rhaxas got frightened. “Roxas, he scares me,†she said softly. “I won’t let him hurt you,†he said softly. The man removed his hood. It was Ansem, the false Ansem. Roxas looked over at him. “Tell me now! Who are you?†he yelled once again. Ansem made a quick smirk then made a straight face. “My name is… Ansem Rhaxas. I am your father,†he said. Rhaxas felt a shock go throughout her once the word “father†spoken aloud. She was indeed in shock. Her eyes widen and her loss of breath. Roxas noticed something wrong with her. She closed her eyes softly and fell under the water. “Rhaxas!†he shouted. He went under the surface of the water and looked as Rhaxas floated downward. Small air bubbles coming from the tip of her lips, and her hand was twitching. He swam under and grabbed her hand. He pulled her back up. He burst out of the surface getting a breath of air. He put his arms around her waist, and held her head above the water. Her head was leaning on his chest to the side. Roxas swam backwards and pushed her out first, and then him. He laid her down on the ground and tilted her head up. He put his head to her chest to check for pulse. She was breathing. Roxas sighed then looked around. The man had left. “Who was that guy?†he wondered. He looked over at Rhaxas. He grabbed her body and lifted her into his arms. He created a coridor and walked through leading him into the castle. Once there, he appeared in the living room, with Rhaxas in his arms unconscious. He put her on the couch and fell to his knees beside her. He grabbed her hand. “I won’t leave you Rhaxas. I won’t leave you,†he said then stood up. He sat down on the opposite couch and waited for her to wake up.
2nd Chapter Chapter 2 ~The Truth and Remembrance~ The thunder boomed, and the lightning struck, once again. Rhaxas walked along the forest. “This place, it seems so familiar,†she said softly. She saw the man running in the rain. She followed him. She tried to keep up fast enough. Once she reached the castle, she saw him put the baby on the doorstep. “Who is that man?†she wondered. Then a bright light flashed. Her eyes shut tight as a reaction. Once she opened them, she saw herself back in the castle. She looked around the vast room and saw Roxas sitting on the couch. “R-Roxas?†she asked as she sat up. Roxas reacted immediately and ran over to her. He hugged her. “Rhaxas are you okay?†he asked. She hugged him back. “Yes I am,†she answered. Roxas let out a sigh then sat down next to her. “I was scared Rhaxas. I thought something bad happened to you,†he said. “It’s okay Roxas. I am here now,†she said. She let out a sigh. “I must go talk to Larxene, maybe she knows what is going on with me,†she said. Roxas nodded and let go of the hug. Rhaxas stood up and walked out of the living room and upstairs. She wandered the hallways. She soon approached the room with the number 12 on it. She knocked on the door. “Larxene… are you there?†she asked. Larxene was sitting at her computer station. She stood up and walked over to the door. She slowly opened it. “Yes, please come in,†she said then allowed her room to walk through. Rhaxas walked in and stood over near the computer station. Larxene sat down in her seat. “Something has been troubling you,†Larxene said. Rhaxas nodded. “Does the name Ansem ring a bell to you? He is my father,†Rhaxas said. Larxene gave a worried expression. “Rhaxas, where did you hear that name?†she asked. Rhaxas looked at Larxene with a sigh. “Roxas took me to the Crystal Lake today, and when we got in the lake, we both heard him. He said I was all grown up. The last thing I remember was hearing him say his name was Ansem, that he is my father, and then I blacked out,†Rhaxas explained. Larxene turned her seat over to her station. She opened a drawer and rummaged throughout it. “What are you looking for?†Rhaxas asked. Larxene let out a sigh then closed the drawer. She stood up and looked in a couple of shelves over the station. “Something I should’ve shown you a long time ago,†she said. She saw what she was looking for. She grabbed Rhaxas’ locket and clenched it in her hands. She sat down and put the chain in between her index and middle finger, and let it hang downwards. Rhaxas looked at the locket as her eyes shimmered. “That’s my locket,†she said softly. “We found that around your neck the day you were abandoned on the doorstep,†she said. Rhaxas looked at Larxene confusingly. “So I wasn’t taken from my home?†she asked. The past Twelve years, she believed that Organization took her from her home, in order to save her. Larxene let out a sigh and nodded. Her head hang low with her eyes closed. “Your father left a note, explaining he couldn’t take care of you. Rhaxas, Xemnas is the nobody of Ansem, and your father is his heartless. I believe that he could not take care of you, where your mother lost her heart during your birth, and that he did not want a nobody child. I have kept this secret from you for so long because I wanted to protect you. I also believe he wants to get rid of you. You are proof that him as a heartless has happiness, and feelings for others,†she said. “But why did he abandon me here with the organization?†she asked. Larxene sighed once again. “I don’t know. That is still what baffles me. If he wants to kill you, why did he not when you were young? As a baby?†she asked. Rhaxas thought of something. “Maybe he still had feelings. Maybe he couldn’t kill me at the time,†Rhaxas said. “That could be it. Rhaxas, I do not want you alone. I want someone with you at all times. Never go out at night, and be careful. I don’t want anything to happen to you,†she said. “I can’t do that Larxene. I cannot be with someone every minute of the day. I can only train by myself. I can only sleep by myself,†she said. Larxene put her hand on her shoulder. “Just be careful for me then. At least try to stay with someone,†she said. Rhaxas nodded and stood up from her seat. “I think I might go lye down. I still feel a bit light headed from blacking out,†she said. Larxene nodded and stood up. “I’ll escort you. If you are weak at the time, that makes you vulnerable to any attack,†Larxene said. Rhaxas nodded and walked over to the door. Larxene walked her out and a few doors down to the room that had the number 14 on it. Inside were a bed, gray floors, gray walls, a gray ceiling, a computer station, and a nightstand. Larxene closed the door once she walked out. Rhaxas sat down on the bed and lye down. She looked up at the ceiling with a saddened sigh. “Ansem, I do not claim you as my father, for never being there for me when times got rough,†she said then fell asleep. Rhaxas was now back where her dream ended. She saw Ansem taking off his hood. She heard him say something about remembering him as her father. She saw her hand touch his, and she did not want to let go. Rhaxas stood over at the trees. The raindrops wre masking her tears going down her cheeks. “Father,†she said softly. Another bright light shined making her close her eyes once again. She laid there in bed asleep for several hours.
