So many things were happening at once, it confused Fae greatly. First they were talking about a plan, then suddenly everything changed and now the news that Sasha was captured rang in her ears. No, it couldn't be Sasha, it just couldn't! She was about to open her mouth and ask if her brother was safe, but then shut it. No one knew they were siblings, and they already knew for a fact that Quinn was the prince. They didn't know there was a princess, barely anyone knew there was a princess.Fae was jolted out of her thoughts when Marlene gave her some potions, saying that they would help her and everyone else in the group.

She heard Marlene talking to Zane about the labyrinth and again, had to hold back from saying anything. She knew that place like the back of her hand, they would get in safely. Fae then glanced at Luke, frowning just a bit. She did not like him, not one bit. Going on this quest meant that her identity would be unmasked. Then what? But Sasha... Sasha was like a second mother to her. She couldn't abandon her, not now.

Sighing out heavily, she picked up her messenger bag from the floor and slipped it on over her shoulders before setting the positions inside. "So, how many of us are staying, and how many are going?" she questioned, looking around at everyone. "I know we all want to save Sasha, but wasn't my- I mean, wasn't Quinn and someone else with Sasha? They might already be trying a rescue mission. We shouldn't send so many people out."

Donte raised an eyebrow under his mask, looking over to the door where the servant had stepped in. As soon as he saw her face, he felt an instant hate swell up inside of him. That slave, he knew her. "Perhaps she needs to be furthered disciplined..." Vex offered, speaking in a dark matter. "She is one of the Resistance, is she not? I'm sure she has dear friends that will come for her..."

"They may have been attempting a rescue mission, but there's no way to know for certain. If nothing is done, then we risk Sasha's life, and I for one am not willing to do that. Fae, you go with Zane and him" Caleb replied, gesturing towards Luke. "We'll stay behind and continue things as best we can, and see if we can't come up with a way to stop the manufacturing of weapons while preventing loss of life" Caleb explained. He turned to Zane. "That is, if you're willing to take them there" he added.

Zane accepted the pendant as Caleb asked him if he was willing to take Fae and Luke to Vex's palace. In his mind, there wasn't much of a choice. It was either he went to go and try to rescue Sasha, or he abandoned someone to die that he could possibly help. He nodded his head in response. "Sure, i'll go. Beats hanging around here right?" he asked, half jokingly. He turned and looked at Fae. "Keep close to me, okay? Where we're going, is one of the most dangerous places you can imagine. Stick by me and we'll be fine" he said, trying his best to explain. He then glanced at Luke. "And you, slack off and you'll get left behind, got it?" he asked. He then turned and looked at the door. "I'd love to say goodbye and all, but the sooner we leave the better. See you when I get back" Zane said to Caleb over his shoulder. He then walked out of the Resistance Base and slowly began his walk in the direction of Corvus.

Vex's eyes snapped up to look at Donte as he spoke of the Resistance. "This one's part of the Resistance? Why did you not inform me of this earlier?" he questioned. He then looked at Sasha and stood up. "Perhaps she can tell us things that we need to know about the Resistance, isn't that right, slave?" Vex asked. He walked over to Sasha and grabbed her by the neck. With sheer strength, he lifted the woman off her feet and carried her over to the magic mirror, that was positioned behind the throne. He then tossed her on the ground in front of it. "Now, you're going to tell us everything you know, and don't bother telling any lies, this mirror can-"

"This magic mirror has a name" the mirror protested.

"THIS MAGIC MIRROR can tell whether you are telling the truth or not" Vex finished, overpowering the mirror's voice.

    Sharox: Worn-down Tavern
A few day's travel north of Balmar, and several days south of Corvus, lay the small, battered town of Sharox. Surrounded by the wasteland that dominated much of the country's southern areas, Sharox was a place where only hardy folks could carve a living for themselves. The hard life of the town's people was only complicated by the many marauding bandit gangs that lurked in the crags of the Wasteland, that is, until, the bandit gangs began to decrease in activity and number. Rumors of plagues, raids by the King's soldiers, and clan warfare amongst the Bandits were thought up to explain the sudden relief from the marauder's onslaught, but few cared why, and only one person truly knew what had happened.
That one person was sitting in the corner of Sharox's time-worn tavern, a hood drawn up to conceal her face and a bulky cloak hiding her asymmetrical armor and distinctive curved sword, though a much less exotic halberd is impossible to conceal, though that detail would hardly give away the identity of this masked traveler, one who rarely allowed others to know of her good works. Rishira cared little for glory or fame, nor did she covet gifts or niceties from the people she aided. This solitary woman cares only for justice, not the justice of the land, but the justice that sings true in the hearts of most good people. That, and the occasional mug of mead, like the one she was favoring at the moment as she watched the crowd in the tavern, looking for anything out of the ordinary.

Sasha cringed slightly as Dante told Vex she was with the resistance. He had no idea before that. It worried Sasha that Dante even knew that, how many others would he be able to name off and give away? "No, wait! What are you talking about I just wanted to escape the fighting. I joined with no one." She pleaded desperately as Vex approached her trying to make her act convincing. She doubted that she would be able to but it was worth a try, better then giving anyone away straight up, she would rather die first.

Sasha struggled trying to get Vex to let go of her neck. She scratched and yanked at his hands but instead he lifted her up and carried her by the neck to a mirror behind his throne. She was desperately gasping for air, not being able to breath, it felt as though her throat was collapsing in blocking her airways. Sasha was about to finally show her magic and blast him with some bone chilling air that might shock him into letting go, but lucky for her he released her before she had to. Sasha fell to the floor and coughed a couple times before she settled. She was a slight bit light headed from the lack of air so didn't bother to move much besides pushing herself into a half seated position. "I have nothing to tell you." Sasha said in a fierce voice as she south at his feet. That was indeed the truth, she didn't have anything she would tell him or wanted to. She was aware that spitting at the king wasn't a smart thing to do but in her eyes he was nothing more then scum.

Xera have a slight smirk at Quinn. As much as she loved to fight she didn't feel now was a good time. "Tell you what, you can take that girl your with and go running back home to safety but if you try to go after your little friends there are hundreds of guards waiting to take care of you where I took her. Anyways I have some... business... to deal with in town, so tootles." Xera said cheerfully with a wave as she spun on her heals to leave. Before she left she turned back to Quinn one last time throwing one of her thawing knives at him inches from his head. "Beware, don't ever test me." She said, her tone more serious.

Samuel still didn't have a good feeling about Luke but kept his mouth shut. His brother had taught him bit to speak unless spoken to, something he had always followed and it was generally the best way to keep out of trouble. He never really got in trouble anyways but still. He trusted his brother and rarely questioned what he told him. Although maybe if he spoke up more he would be more then just a nobody little kid within the resistance but he wasn't hurt that people didn't notice him or pay him mind so it didn't matter in the end.

Luke gave a slight smile "I certainly hope you've got some idea of how to find her. That castle isn't exactly small. Of course, it'd help if we had someone who knew their way around it." He ssaid, sneering at Fae. He seemed to know more than he let on, but since he'd changed so much in appearance over the years, it was unlikely she'd recognize him. Although if she did discover his identity before they got there, it could prove troublesome.

Quinn glared at Xera. He'd always disliked people like her. The fact she was a member of the passing and kidnapped his friend just added insult to injury. "Sorry to interrupt it, but you're business is gonna have to wait. If i'm going to get Sasha back, i can't very well force my past an army and take her by force. I'm gonna need some leverage. Seeing as you caught her, i'm gonna go ahead and guess that you're in Vex's good graces. He'd be willing to negotiate to get you back if you were to say...get taken hostage?" The prince said, letting on his motives and readying his spear. He wasn't going to let an opportunity like this get away. The fact he got to knock a couple teeth out of the smug face was a bonus.

Zane came back into the Resistance Base for just a moment, and grabbed Luke roughly by the arm as he forcibly dragged the boy outside of the Resistance Base. "Fae, come on, the longer we take the less good it's looking for Sasha" Zane called out seriously, hoping to spur the girl on a little more. He then let go of Luke and glanced at him for a brief second. "I don't know if you're a new recruit or not, but I've been keeping an eye out on the Resistance since I was exiled and I don't remember ever seeing you do something helpful. I'll be keeping my gaze on you, so if you want to help the rest of the Resistance, now's your time to start" Zane stated, not quite threatening but certainly not being friendly either.

Caleb walked over to Samuel and put a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Relax, Samuel, if there's anybody that can get in and rescue Sasha, it's Zane. If anything we should be worried about what we're getting into, bringing down a stronghold as important to Vex as Sharox is won't be easy" he said, wanting to reassure Samuel but at the same time unable to lie to the boy. He wouldn't lie to the Resistance, it was a promise he had made to himself the moment he helped with forming it. However, despite trying to make Samuel calm he couldn't ignore the rest of The Resistance, some of which may have had what he presumed to be the same worries as Samuel. Caleb strode over to the desk he had been at earlier, and summoned another copy of the plans for the attack on Sharox. He then held it into the air. "Friends, this is the plan I have come up with, and while I am sure it will work I am open to suggestions. If any of you have doubts or ideas, state them now!" he called out.

"I am a busy man, servant, and I am not in a mood for tricks or lies at all. So, for your own sake, you had better start speaking. You know what I want to know. What do you know of The Resistance? What are their plans?" Vex demanded. What he hoped the servant girl didn't know is that while the magic mirror could easily tell the difference between truth and lies, it wouldn't necessarily tell Vex himself the truth. It enjoyed causing him suffering, and while it could not lie to Vex it didn't have to tell him the entire truth of the matter.

Xera chuckled at Quinns threat. Did he really think he would be able to capture her? It wasn't going to happen. On top of that she was almost positive that Vex would not negotiate for her, as sad as that was she already was aware of this and wouldn't take offense to it. "You think you can take me? Good luck trying." She sneered as she readied her sword. This time it was a head to head combat, no need for stealth and throwing knives. It was however time for quick accurate movements which she was also quite skilled im.

Samuel sighed. He trusted the others to rescue Sasha but also knew she was with Vex, or last he saw. To get her when she is at his side would prove challenging. But Caleb was correct they needed to worry more about the plans to take down the stronghold then what the rescue team was doing to save Sasha. Samuel walked up to the desk after Caleb and glanced at the plans. Strategics were never Samuel's specialty. Generally he would just follow whatever plan his brother told him to. That being said Samuel was quite intelligent for his age and would often come up with the research for his brother and do that quicker then he would have been able to himself. Either way Samuel felt he should get a closer look at the plans Caleb drew up, just for a referance at least. Chances where it would change before the attack happened. Big plans like these where always being revised all the time.

Sasha bit her lip not wanting to tell Vex anything. But she needed to tell him something and quick. "The Resistance is a group of people who want to take back the throne for the rightful owners. Everyone knows that." Sasha stated in answer to his first question. It wasn't a lie so she couldn't be pinned for lying. It was exactly what it was. But how did she explain plans. "As for what there plans are... I am not really sure besides dethrone you, but again everyone knows that." This again was a true fact they did want to dethrone Vex and most of the detailed planning Sasha was in the back preparing food for them or cleaning. She didn't get too far involved in the planning process. Even among their small group she still felt her place was the same as in this castle. So she stuck with it because even if she was wrong it was what she knew best.

Luke gave a coy smile to Zane. "Well, you'll find often times i'm somewhat hard to see at all." He was a hard one to read. He didn't seem at all phased by being dragged out the door by the arm. "If you intend to get there quickly, i'd suggest we enlist the aid of a few mages of a particular variety. They aren't strictly speaking legal, but everyone uses them for long distance travel. Your choice, Exile." Luke said in a voice that made it hard to discern whether he was kidding or being serious. If there were a profession for telling riddles, he would have made a killing.

Quinn closed the distance between them inhumanly fast. It went beyond the realm of just above average, he was superhuman. He spun the large spear effortlessly in one hand, moving it into a horizontal sweep. His magic was powering not only his physical prowess, but his senses and reflexes as well. In close quarters combat, Enhancement magic was one of the worst things you could face. The trick to it was thats where it ends. if you can keep the range advantage, it should even the field. But when one could close distance like that, it made it hard.
