Iris stopped walking as she saw the man suddenly stop. She raised an eye brow as he just stood still, "What is he doing...?" She quietly asked herself. The man began to turn toward her and he began to walk toward her with his rope. Iris took a step back and held her guard, "Ishimura, guard me." She commanded.

Ishimura jumped in front of Iris and snarled as he bared his teeth at the man, "Take one more step and I'll shred you to pieces!" Ishimura used an almost telepathic way to speak as he in away roared at the man.

"Yes..." Fall paused for a moment, "But isn't there some sort of a plan you have, other than just running around looking..? You must have some sort of idea where the Resistance are hiding..."

Fae ignored the question as to why she was avoiding town and then was caught off guard when she heard something crash through the trees. She looked over just in time to see a familiar figure moving away from them in an angry like fashion. Fae rolled her eyes just a bit when she realized who it was. Bryan. She didn't like him all too much, but she tolerated him just fine. Her attention was brought back to Zane when he started to explain about losing a bird. She nearly scoffed. Good luck finding him out here, she wanted to say to him but kept her mouth shut. "No, I haven't seen-"

Just then, Zane threw a berry into the air. A bird snatched it from the sky then came down towards the two humans. Fae watched in awe as the bird sat on Zane's shoulder. She heard of people using birds as guides or as partners, but never actually got to see something like this up close before. When Ace tilted his head to look at her, Fae did almost the same, making her look absolutely silly. She giggled, waving to Ace. "Hello Ace, nice to meet you."

The girl's mind wandered back to what Zane said he was doing either. "The Resistance?" Fae questioned, standing up straight now as her eyes shined with question. She tucked her hair behind her ears before she looked Zane over. "I am part of them... But who are you? I've never seen you before I don't think." Fae was somewhat new to the group. She hadn't had much time to bond with really anyone, but that was alright with her. "I mean I know your name is Zane and all... but no one has mentioned you..."

"Was I too formal? Well of course you were!" Marlene thought to herself as she saw the expression in Caleb's face. She somewhat had a knack for reading peoples' faces when she spoke to them. She could tell not from his voice, but from his expression he was somewhat annoyed. Marlene looked down at the table, the many papers spread out before her. She couldn't help but take a sudden interest in the different papers. She picked one up and analyzed it, "Are these the plans for the upcoming attack?" Marlene questioned as she took a seat. The thought of asking Caleb her question had completely slipped her mind as she looked over the different papers. Both of these plans seemed pretty dangerous to her. Striking in the heart of Vex's Kingdom, or attacking the town where Vex was supplied with weapons. How would The Resistance fair? She had become completely envious to Caleb's presence as she went into a deep thought.
Sure The Resistance was big, but she had heard rumors that The Passing was becoming stronger each day. She was concerned with what would happen to all of her companions. The Passing were merciless and would immediately behead anyone who they knew were of The Resistance. Marlene had finally made her decision as she snapped back into reality. She stood up and spoke, "Caleb, I want to be put out onto the front line. I'm tired of seeing my allies run out into danger while I sit back and do nothing on the sidelines! I am not the weakling that everyone makes me out to be. I've been training for over the last three months, pushing myself, and I know that I'm finally ready for this. So please, let me fight." She spoke intensely from the heart. However, what she said was true, she hated not being able to help, and she wanted for once to be out there. For some reason, whenever an attack was formed, Marlene was always left behind because she was thought of as being helpless. She wanted to change that, and she wanted to protect the others as they had protected her.

"If you're ready, then lets go."
Cammy shook her head. "I'm sorry, but no. I would rather go with Sasha." Cammy turned and looked up at Sasha. "Please Sasha? It's horribly dull back at our home." she said, sticking out her bottom lip as if she were going to cry. She didn't want to go home, and this was the best way she could be mannerful while begging. All the while, she maintained her compusture that Sasha had taught her. Luckily, she had big eyes that could make most people feel bad about disagreeing with her. This was really out of character for her as she didn't do it often, but desperate times called for desperate measures. Plus she wanted to talk to Sasha about her nightmare from last night... It had frightened Cammy pretty badly.

Xera was at the edge of town before remembering rumors she had heard around about an underground group of magic users. It was rumored that in the next town over there was one that was capable of teleporting people to other places, there where a few that where like that but not many. The closest one to her current position was about an hour ride away. It would be easier then riding a week to get to her destination. It also meant she would have to leave her horse in a strange town, and her horse was her most prize possession. It was one of the only living things she actually cared about and acted like she had a heart towards it because she did.

The wind through Xera's hair felt nice, she felt free. Not that she was never not free, she stayed with Vex out of loyalty not because she was forced to. Still she rarely went far from the castle, she wanted to stay close in case there was anything besides the regular that Vex wanted. Besides she didn't trust the hired goons, people who only did things for money shouldn't be trusted. They could do what they wanted on their own but she was skeptical about them being in the castle alone. But Vex could handle himself, it was time for her to fulfill her purpose.

Arriving in the new town Xera dismounted her horse. She took him to a local stable offering the stable boy a small amount of money upfront to take care of him. She left the stables and put her hood up off to find the entrance to the underground society of magic users. She hoped that they would let her in even though she wasn't a magic user herself. The sack of money in her pocket might be enough to convince them. After a few minutes of walking Xera decided the rumor was referring to the tribute in the middle of a fountain. The rumor was rather cryptic, like a riddle but she was smart enough to deduce where it would be. She rolled her pant legs up just above her knees and waded into the small fountain. She examined the statue finding a small lose piece to it. When turned it revealed a small door leading to a stair case. It was a step up to get to due to the fact they obviously didn't want water getting in it but that was fine. Descending down the stairs it was hard to see but Xera could make out a door at the bottom. Upon reaching it she knocked twice waiting an answer.

"Who are you and what do you want?" A scruff voice came from behind the door. A small piece of metal slid out of the way revealing a harsh stare of an old man.
"Look I need your services." Xera replied holding up the sack of money. It wasn't long before the door opened up for her and she was inside this magic users hideout. Xera dropped the money on the table. "I want to go to Balmar and I have heard you can get me there fast." She said quick and to the point.
"I can." The man replied stroking his beard as he eyed the bag of money. "What does a pretty thing like you want to do there?" He asked
"That is none of your business, are you going to get me there or will I have to take my cash somewhere else?" She threatened as she went to pick up her bag of money.
"I didn't say I wouldn't did I? He asked as he started doing his magic. "Have a good trip. Hoped you saved enough to get yourself back." He smirked thinking she wasn't thinking through her actions.
"Oh I will when I am done there." She said in an evil tone before she completely disappearing.

Xera soon found herself in the small town of Balmar. "What a dump." She scoffed before making her way to the shadows to start observing the people on their daily routines. Maybe something somewhere would point her in the direction of Resistance members. If not she was sure there where plenty of the weak there for her to kill.

"Sorry sir... Um I mean Quinn." Sasha stammered. Even though she had not served under him for two years now and it had been a year since she had left the royal courts and made it to the resistance she still was not used to the concept of not treating the royal family like... well royalty. The one year here was nothing compared to the 24 she spent in the courts. Her parents served for the king and queen as well and she was born into that life, it was what she was accustom too.

Cammy was begging not to go and Sasha always had trouble playing the stubborn one. Just the look on the girls face was enough to convince her. "Fine you may come, but stay quiet and not a word about the meeting got it?" She demanded not wanting the young girl to give away who they where. Not that she though she would but it was always a concern considering that it wasn't often she allowed anyone along on her trips into town, much less two people. She ruffled Cammy's hair then continued her trek into town.

Upon being asked about the plans for the upcoming attack, Caleb nodded. "Yes, this one here" he said, motioning towards the one on the left, "is a plan that would involve taking down Vex's weapon supply, which would weaken his force slightly" he explained. "While this one here" he continued, "details a direct attack on Vex's castle. Risky, but if we played it right we may be able to pull it off. These aren't the only plans I have, they're just the ones I've bothered to write down at the moment" Caleb explained.

Caleb then went on to answer Marlene's plea. "I don't believe anyone thinks of you as a weakling, Marlene. This is not a war that can be fought by any one person, we have to operate like..like a machine, almost. We work together for the better future, and you are just as important in it as the rest of us. That being said, it is somewhat dangerous, but if you really want to fight on the front line then there is little I can do to stop you. I won't become a dictator, I won't boss anyone around, so you may do what you wish" he finished.

A look that somewhat resembled sadness passed over Zane's face. "They wouldn't mention me, none of them would. If you had heard of me, I would have been surprised. Why would they talk about someone they exiled from the Resistance?" he said in a soft, gentle tone; almost sorrowful. He shook his head quickly. "I can't blame them though, what I did was unforgivable. Didn't have much of a choice though" he added. He looked into Fae's eyes, just for a moment. "If you had a choice, a choice that seemd impossible to make. If you had to choose between the life of your dearest friend, or the possibility of an entire group being wiped out, could you make the choice?" he asked.

He stepped over to the buster sword that lay on the ground and picked it up. Ace was still sitting on his shoulder, happy as ever, his master not so much. "My friend, you might know of him, his name's Caleb. I used to be part of the resistance, along with him, well actually I was one of the first members of it. He was always the planner, though he was very skilled with a blade mind you, while I was always the doer. One day, the Resistance was attacked by Vex. Caleb never saw it coming, none of us did. Vex took him, I went after him. Vex told me that if I didn't tell him the location of the base, he would kill Caleb there and then. What was I supposed to do? Caleb was my best friend, I would give my life if I had to to save his. I told Vex, he released Caleb, and then I was exiled for treachery" Zane finished, summarising the painful events of his past.

"I didn't let it slow me down, I kept training and training. Everytime I caught wind of the Resistance doing something, I did what I could to help. That's when I met this little guy" he said, affectionately petting Ace with his free hand. "Ace is all I have left after I was exiled, but I can't just give up. I'm much stronger than I was when I was exiled, used to be one of the strongest there anyway" he said with a laugh. "Thing is, it's no secret that The Resistance and Vex are at war with each other, and as much as it would pain Caleb to admit it, he could use me there helping with it on the front lines. So I've been heading back there, to try and talk some sense. He'll let me back in, he has to.." Zane finished.

Vex turned to face Fall. He closed his eyes for a moment, and a couple of tiny scars could be seen on his eyelids. Very faint ones, but they were visible. "Yes, I have an idea. A while ago, I came across some information, told to me by a member of the Resistance himself. He told me where the base of operations was, in exchange for the life of his friend. I went there and destroyed that base, but that doesn't mean that there weren't others. If you must know, that place was Balmar, so that would be as good a place to start as any" he spoke.

Fae leaned against her staff as she listened to the sad tale that this man had to share with her. What would she choose if she was in that position? Probably the friend... she would save the friend. But then what then? The group would be wiped out. But she would not have a friend. Either which way, it seemed like she would be marked as a traitor if she was in Zane's shoes. Why was Caleb so harsh with Zane though? Didn't he know that the team wouldn't survive without him? Didn't he have faith in the others that they would pull through and defend themselves? Her heart was beginning to feel as gloomy and heavy as the cloudy sky above her as she pondered this. Zane seemed pretty determined that Caleb would have him back though.

"I'm sure he will want you back," she said with confidence, slugging the older guy playfully in the shoulder. "Caleb doesn't hold grudges for very long. At least I don't think he does." She couldn't help but to smile a bit, standing up straight as she made sure her satchel was secure before stepping down the hill a little ways ahead of Zane. "Alright then Mister Ex-Exile Zane, let's get you back to-"

Suddenly, Fae's ankle caught onto something and she lost her footing, stumbling to the ground with a shriek. She laid there on the ground, dazed as she thought back to what happened before that. She didn't see anything in her way. No rocks, no bushes, no roots, nothing. Fae then heard something hiss, and opened her eyes while pulling herself to sit up. But the nightmare had already begun. She was consumed in what it seemed like to be a dark blue-ish green smoke escaping from air pressured bags. The smoke began to burn her eyes, then her throat. The girl started to cough, being choked by the strange smoke. She tried to cover her face with her cloak to protect herself, but it was already too late.

"Zane!" she croaked, barely getting his name out. That was the only person Fae could think of to call out for in this state of emergency. She tried to move to use her water magic, but her body felt extremely heavy and she began to feel disoriented.

Without even realizing it, Fae fell back on the ground and began to curl up in fetal position. Blinded and great pain, all Fae could do was just lay there in agony and gasp for air even though she was getting barely anything in her burning lungs. What had happened was that Fae had stepped into a trap and tripped the wire. Who the trap was for... If Fae was conscious enough, she would have guessed it was for the bear she saw a few days back. She had triggered it, and now she was going to die of poisons gas strong enough to kill a bear.

Fall nodded her head at Vex and began to walk away and outdoors. Once she was outside she looked around a bit and began to walk. It was weeks away from Balmar but she had her ways of traveling. Once she got a.considerable distance away from the castle, Fall manifested her scythe and held it in front of her with the blade facing downward. She closed her eyes and focused her spirit into the scythe.

A radiant light of dark purple and black hues radiated off of her and the area around her began to become heavy with the strength of her now exposed soul. She lifted the the scythe up and then slammed the blade down into the ground. Once she did this, a circle with ancient lettering and magic lit up the ground below her and rocks and debre began floating around.

She held her ground as a rather large spirit began to rise out of her scythe where it was lodged into the ground. It was quite demonic looking and frightening, but to Fall it was a rather normal thing to see. The spirit was indeed the soul of a demon, and it began to levitate behind Fall. When she moved, the soul moved.

She yanked her scythe out of the ground and readied her scythe to strike something. But instead of striking something she swung at the air and when she did, the demon swung its large claws at the air, causing a rip in the fabric of space where she swung her scythe.

The rip was back on the inside and radiated with spiritual energy from the demon. Fall dismissed her weapon and the demon as she walked through, soon finding herself on the outskirts of the town of Balmar.

Marlene was rather overjoyed with the fact that she would be on the frontline with the others soon enough. Even though it sounded quite odd, she wasn't at all scared of what would happen if she went out there. "Thanks," was one of the only words that Marlene could manage. Her thoughts soon went back to the plans, she looked at Caleb and spoke with sincerity, "Whatever your final plan is, I know that you will lead us to victory. I, as well as the rest of The Resistance will always follow you, no matter what your decision is." she said as she turned her attention back to her next step. She hurriedly grabbed her bow she had set down earlier and slung it over her shoulder. "Well I'd better get prepared," she said as she looked at Caleb one last time with a reassuring smile before quickly running out of the building. She felt overjoyed as she ran past the many other resistance members, and towards her tent. She had become so lost in her thoughts that she accidentally collided with a man around her age. "I'm sorry!" Marlene said as she didn't wait for the young man's reply. Too much in a hurry, she grabbed her bow and headed onward.

Vincent had just wrapped up his training and began walking back to the base. He was glancing at a small ladybug as it buzzed on by. He looked back to where he was headed only to collide with a girl. If he could groan with pain, he would, but he looked up to the girl as she quickly apologized and continued her fast pace. He rubbed his head as he came back into reality and looked around him. He stood, and pattered the dust off his clothes. He was about to continue his walk when he noticed a small metal arrow dropped by the girl. He kneeled over to pick it up. He looked around to see if he could still catch up with her, but it was far too late. She was already gone. "Just great..." Vincent thought to himself as he carried the arrow with him. "If I can recall, that was Marlene Valentine, the healer. I guess I can drop it off at her tent quick." He suddenly threw the arrow into the air, and focused his energy onto that arrow. It proceeded to fly quickly as though it was being controlled by something. That something was Vincent as he used his magnetic ability to repel the arrow back into the opposite direction, flying it into the ground right outside of Marlene's tent. He looked over to see if it had made it, sure enough, there it was. Vincent gave a small grin as he continued his walk in the opposite direction.

Caleb was speechless. He knew that the majority of the resistance seemed fond of him, but did they really believe in him that much? Could he live up to their expectations? "Th-thanks" he said at last, unsure of what else to say at the time. He turned his attention back to the plans that lay on the table before him. Picking up the pencil, he put a cross through the plan that involved attacking Vex head on. First the weapons supply, then the buyer he thought to himself. He made a couple of other plans of attack, ones that involved attacking other small positions, but in the end he could only decide on one.

Caleb drew a circle around the title of the plan, which was simply "Sharox".
He then picked up the parchment and strode over to the board that contained their various strategies. He cleared a small patch in the center of the board and then summoned a small dagger in his left hand. He stabbed the dagger into the parchment, keeping it pinned to the board. This would mark for all the others in the Resistance that this was their next plan of attack, and the most important one.

"Fae!" Zane called out. Only moments earlier the girl had seemed almost happy, and then she had stepped onto a trap and inhaled some kind of poisonous gas. Fae was obviously in pain, curling up in the fetal position. Zane dropped his buster sword straight away and knelt down beside Fae. He was no expert in first aid by any means, but perhaps he could help somehow. He cracked his knuckles. "Alright Fae, you're going to learn just what kind of magic I'm good for" he said quietly as he mentally prepared himself. He began to focus his time magic on one particular thing in the area; the girl that was poisoned.

"What my magic does is affects time, whether it be a person's sense of it or otherwise. I can make things go faster or slow down" he explained. "Still listening? Stay with me Fae, you're not going to die" he encouraged. He slowed time in and around Fae's body, causing the poison to slow to just a crawl. He could slow it completely, but only for a few seconds, and that would not give him the time to do what needed to be done so that was not an option. While he was slowing the poison inside of Fae, he gently knelt down and lifted her up, trying to support her as best as he could. He dropped his buster sword on the ground as he did so, but it did not matter; a human life meant more to him than his sword did. Zane began running towards Balmar, towards the Resistance, as fast as he was able.

After running for just a couple of minutes, he realized it wasn't going to be enough at that rate. A sense of dread flowed into him. He was going to have to put everything on the line. "Just hang in there Fae, I'm not going to let another person die while i'm able to do something!" he exclaimed. While slowing the poison within Fae, he also began using magic to affect himself too, causing himself to move quite a lot faster. He hurried towards the Resistance base, ignoring the looks of people as he ran, knowing all too well that if he strained himself too much he could be in just as much danger as the girl he was holding was in.

"She has a point about it being dull..." Quinn added onto Cammy's plea. Thankfully, Cammy was good at begging Sasha. The woman agreed to let her accompany them. He seriously doubted that she'd insist he go home. Even though he told her to treat him like any other, she still seemed to think of him as royalty. He didn't like it, but it did have its advantages. 'I might be a bit blunt sometimes, but i can tell cammy wants to talk to her privately. Still, it's safer if i follow.' Quinn inconspicously fell a bit behind. Enough so that he was out of earshot, but still close enough to follow and keep an eye on them. His magic enhanced his sight quite a bit, so it was easier to do so. 'No matter how you look at it, we're outnumbered. We've got to keep an eye out for the passing everwhere we go.'

The hangman ignored the warning, acting as though it had never been issued. Instead he simply continued his eerie walk toward the girl and her pet. The raven left his shoulder and perched itself on a nearby rooftop once they got fairly close. A caw was the only warning that they had before a whip cracked at them.

The plants and grass around Fae began to curl up and turn black, due to the poisonous gas. Maybe the hunter had a thing against bears and wanted to be sure to get rid of it once and for all. Fae heard someone talking to her as she was fading in and out of consciousness. She whimpered when Zane picked her up from the ground and felt the warmth against her body. He had her, she was going to be okay. She barely heard his explanation about his magic. All she was focused on was staying awake right now. She was afraid everything would go black and then she wouldn't wake up.

Stay with me Fae, you're not going to die" he encouraged.

Time seemed to go by so quickly for her. When she forced her eyes to open again, she didn't see the foliage of the forest anymore. Just Zane's blurry face and the gray sky above. She clenched her hand tightly over her chest, wheezing and gasping for air. It was like she was like she was trying to breathe through a blanket. The pain was still aching through her body, and her lungs were on fire.

Sasha... Quinn... Fae thought to those two people that had been in her life the longest. She knew that if she did died, Sasha would probably bring her back to life just to kill her again for being such an idiot. As for her brother... what would he do if she was gone? He didn't want to be leader... it was up to her to lead the kingdom when this was all over. Dying wasn't an option, she would have to live. Her lungs had began to work harder, trying to make herself breathe better. But when the sound reached her ears, she hardly believed it was her gasping and wheezing as if her life was going to be snuffed out of her any minute.

Fall looked around for a bit and then walked toward the town. Once she took her first steps into it, she almost immediately had gotten frightened looks by the towns people from her strange appearance. She simply ignored them and kept walking. She then stopped for a moment, she sensed that a familiar soul was here. She casually turned her head just enough to see Xera hiding. "Xera..." She quietly said to herself.

When the man didn't stop after Ishimura's warning and cracked his whip, Iris took action. She dodged rolled away from the whip as she reached for her gun that was strapped to her back and threw the umbrella on the ground. She pressed a button on the gun and a glowing green energy came out of it, taking the shape of a blade. She aimed the weapon at the man as a final warning.

"I wasn't planning on fighting you, only to investigate, but if you don't stand down I'll fire!" In all honesty, Iris was quite nervous, she didn't know what all this guy was capable of. She had only heard stories of him.

Ishimura's growling became fiercer as he took on a battle stance. His tail swished around in agitation as he was hoping Iris would give the command to attack.

Marlene was in her tent, attentively gathering the necessities she would need for the trip. She looked in her bag, the bag contained medical supplies just in case she couldn't heal everyone if they were all injured. Even though she had been training intensely for the last few months, she still had much to improve on. She could heal more people than before, but it still drained her after a while. After having packed her medical kit, a change of clothes, and some more arrows, she put her supplies on the little bed that lay in the corner. She set her bow down and looked over the tent space. This wasn't her actual room, this was actually the medical tent that she would reside in most of the time. She usually passed out late into the night while working in this tent. Marlene never thought it wise to always depend on her healing powers. She wanted to find remedies to sicknesses and infections that many of The Resistance were contracting the past few months. This was her passion, and she could always be found at her rather messy desk in the other corner of the tent.
Her attention was directed at her books and remedy journals until she heard the commotion going on outside. She poked her head out of the medical tent, she looked around to see what everyone was glancing at, and soon she saw a man carrying a small girl. She examined the two more closely, she had never seen the man before, and he didn't look as though he resided from here. She soon noticed who the girl was, "Is that Fae?" she questioned to herself. Marlene suddenly wore a concerned look as she realized that Fae was in a horrible state. She watched as the man sprinted past the others. He was going very fast, but how was that possible. She stood outside the tent, she barely knew Fae, but she would watch as the quiet girl would wonder off into the forest every once in a while. What was wrong with her?

Zane kept running. He could feel the magic draining him of his energy, extremely quickly. He could not stop though, not while Fae's life was still in danger. He would not stop, he would keep going until he dropped dead from exhaustion if he had to. "Never again, will anyone die because of me" he said quietly. He raced through the town, ignoring the looks of people as he ran. He had more important matters on his mind than the opinions of the townspeople. He reached the Resistance base, or at least where it had been before, and knocked on the door to the meeting hall; a room that was also the first room visitors would enter. No answer came. "There's no time for manners here" he said in frustration. His mother would have disagreed, saying that there was always time for manners, but his mother was not here. She had not been there since Vex had began ruling. Zane took a step back from the door. He then kicked the door open, causing it to swing dangerously on its hinges.

Caleb had been figuring out how to go about stopping the weapons supply. There wasn't an easy way, that was for sure, but there had to be something they could do to stop it wasn't there? As he was mulling it over, he leapt into the air out of shock as the door burst open. He quickly got up from his seat upon seeing who had entered; Zane. He hurried over. "What are you doing here? You know you're not allowed here, get out of h-""
Get of my way Caleb" Zane hissed.

Caleb noticed that Zane was carrying someone that seemed unwell. It was Fae, one of the members of the Resistance. He stepped out of the way of Zane and stepped back over to the table used for strategies. With one sweep of his arm, he cleared it of all the parchment that was on it, sending it to the ground. He turned to look at Zane. "Put her down here" he said. Zane hurried over and placed Fae gently down on the table. He didn't even look at Caleb as he spoke. "She's been poisoned. Do you have any medicine, an antidote perhaps?" he asked. Caleb appeared to be in deep thought for a brief second. "I can do one better" he responded. He turned and raced out of the meeting hall and after Marlene. "Marlene!" he called out as he ran towards her tent. "Marlene, we need you now! It's urgent!"

Marlene watched as the man zipped past her, Fae in his arms. A great look of dread was upon his face. As they passed her in that brief second in time, she caught glimpse of Fae. She was in a rather horrible state as she struggled to breath. The man soon was out of sight far to fast for Marlene to follow. Even though Marlene was worried, how could she find the two in time? She traveled a bit farther from the medical tent, they were still nowhere in sight. Marlene gathered back at her tent as she sat down on the side of the small medical bed. She hung her head low and began to think. "What could of caused the girl to have trouble breathing?" Marlene paced back and forth. From the condition that Fae was in, and the lingering smell that emitted from her, Marlene concluded that the young girl must of been around some sort of toxin. Maybe from the forest, that place was rather full of dangerous plants and creatures.
Marlene decided she would head out after Fae, even if she had no idea where she was. Not knowing what kind of toxin and for how long that toxin had entered Fae made Marlene more uncomfortable as she rushed towards the tent door. She stopped, turning and grabbing a metal-clasp necklace with two pendants on it. She fastened the clasp around her neck and turned to the door flap as she heard someone calling out for her. She ran outside to meet Caleb as she stopped in her tracks. She saw the fear in his eyes, and she didn't have to ask why she was needed. "Where is she?" Marlene asked as she looked around feverishly.

Caleb was surprised that Marlene knew why she was needed. Had she seen Zane with Fae, or was it simply intuition? Maybe some other explanation altogether? He would figure it out later if ever, for the moment he had to get Marlene to Fae as quickly as possible. He gestured behind himself, back in the direction of the hall. "In there, on the strategy table" he answered. He hurried back to the hall and over to Zane. "Zane, can I have a word with you?" he asked.

What was it that Caleb wanted? Did he mean to harm him for returning to the place he was exiled from? Maybe he wanted to thank him? Well, there was only one way he was going to find out, and sitting there thinking about it was definitely not going to do it. He nodded his head in response to Caleb's question. The two of them walked to the far end of the hall, a small area where it was nice and quiet and hopefully wouldn't be disturbed.

"Zane, don't think for a moment that i'm not grateful for possibly saving Fae's life, but this doesn't change the fact that you were exiled" Caleb said. This was what Zane had feared Caleb would say, but he wasn't going to go down without a fight. "I didn't think it would, but I was hoping you'd overlook the fact, at least for a little while" came the response. Caleb sighed, a sign of annoyance.

"Look, Zane, I don't have time for things like this. We, the Resistance, are in the middle of a war and-""A war that you're losing! How much longer are you going to ignore the fact that you need me?"
"You betrayed us Zane, I can-"
"I saved your life! Is choosing to save you truly an act of betrayal?"
"When it means the lives of many others, YES. Their blood is on your hands Zane, nothing will change that""If this is because of the fact that Skadi died becau-" Zane started. He got no further than that though as he was met with a ferocious glare from Caleb.
"Don't you dare speak her name! If it wasn't for you, they would all be alive right now! She would be here with me, and it's all your fault that she isn't!" he roared. Caleb wasn't someone to get angry easily, but his dead girlfriend was a topic that he was rather sensitive about. Zane wasn't intimidated though, he knew Caleb wouldn't do anything rash in front of the rest of the resistance. "Is this what she would want? You think that because someone chose to save your life, she would want you to throw away one of the biggest chances of survival the Resistance has? That she would want you to exile her brother? You know what I can do, you need me in the Resistance Caleb, and I think deep down it tears you apart that you know i'm right. With me we could push back Vex, but without me you won't last more than another month at this rate! When are you going to grow up and realize that?" Zane retaliated.

A look of realization washed over Caleb's face. He knew Zane was right, he was needed. When he had been part of the Resistance, Zane had easily been one of the stronger members. The boy's talent was well-known by him, Zane was arguably one of the main reasons that the Resistance had even been able to start. However, he couldn't let go of the past. Skadi had been the woman in his life, the person he could always fall back on, and ultimately if Zane had chosen to let Caleb die then she would still be alive. What was he to do? He paced a few steps, trying to gather his thoughts. He turned to face Zane, realizing the swordsman had been waiting for a response. "Because you saved Fae's life, I will allow you to stay here. You can stay here until she has recovered, and then you can assist with the upcoming raid, but after that you will be on your own. I'll do my best to keep you informed if we make a major move against Vex, but aside from that you are to keep out of our business, do we have a deal?" he asked, extending his hand.

Zane shook the hand reluctantly. He had hoped he would have been welcomed into the Resistance, but he knew that it had taken all of Caleb's willpower to prevent him from flat out saying no. "Fine, deal" he answered. He was then shocked to see Caleb summon another blade, an exact copy of his own buster sword.

"If you're going to be in this raid, you're going to need a weapon" he said, handing over the huge sword, to which Zane responded by taking it.

Marlene didn't waste any time as she ran quickly behind Caleb, towards the hall where Fae could be located. The two soon entered the room, and Marlene soon spotted Fae as she lay on the worn table. Marlene hurried herself over to the table, failing to notice the man she had seen earlier. Her only focus was Fae at the moment. Marlene slid off her quiver of arrows, tossing it over to the side. She then gently slid her bow over her shoulder and leaned it against the wall nearby. She then approached Fae and examined her condition. It was far worst than she had expected, as Marlene rolled up her long sleeves and placed her hands over Fae. She closed her eyes and slowly began to concentrate. She focused all of her energy into her hands to her fingertips. She soon felt a rather warm energy began to radiate slowly off her hands. She opened her eyes to see her hands emit a dark-green light. She then gently pressed her hands to Fae's chest as she had found the place of darkness. Her hands stayed there for a short time as Marlene looked at Fae. She noticed as her breathing had begun to revert back to it's normal self. This however was the most difficult part for Marlene. It almost appeared to the surrounding others that Marlene had placed her hands into Fae herself, yet her hands were almost transparent as nothing but the green glow emitted from Fae's chest. Marlene then slowly lifted her hands from Fae.
It looked as though Marlene held something in her hands, and as she opened them, she held a rather large orb of death. It seemed cloudy and dark and Marlene examined it more closely. It was just as she feared, Fae had nearly reached death concluded from the big sphere of darkness. This was the part that made Marlene rather weak as she took the orb and placed it into herself. This was how every healing went for Marlene. In return for her healing the sick, she would take their sickness and darkness. It was a heavy burden for a girl Marlene's age, but she wasn't frightened of what would happen to her. This is what made her unafraid. As the orb disappeared into Marlene's chest, the radiant green-glow from her hands also vanished. Marlene stood and looked at Fae, "Your fine now, there's nothing to worry about," Marlene said gently as she gave her a calming smile. She then felt rather weak as she stood there, having never taken in so much death and pain before at the same moment.

"Fine you may come, but stay quiet and not a word about the meeting got it?"
"What meeting?" Cammy asked innocently, obviously hinting that she meant there was no meeting. "Hey!" she said as Sasha ruffled her hair. "Don't do that!" she giggled. Sasha began to trek back into town, and Cammy followed her closely. She would need to mind her manners and only speak when spoken to if she didn't want to give them all away. That would be bad, VERY bad.

Wait a sec though, the more she thought of it, the more she wanted to ask about the meeting. 'No Cammy! Bad Cammy!' she though to herself. In order to stop, Cammy reached up and began playing with her hair, something she was very protective of for some reason. In fact, only herself and Sasha were allowed to touch it.

Xera watched from in the allies for anything that might be considered suspicious in a town like that. Although she didn't really see anything suspicious as she watched something caught her eye. A girl with a hood up walking with a younger girl. This in and of itself wasn't the thing that caught her eye but the marking on the older girls hand did. It was a small crown symbol with numbers under it. The marking of a slave. But no slaves where to leave the royal courts. No one had that she knew of except one... could it be the one run away. She didn't think the girl would have been able to survive in the real world. Unlike most she was boring and grew up a servant girl. Most where captured or brought in to work, but not this one. Knowing this Xera doubted the girl could even handle herself out in the open and all by herself. Number 734 was here.
Sasha simply chuckles at Cammy's protest about her touching her hair. She could understand the girls protectiveness over her hair. She was the same way, she never let anyone else touch her hair. She gave a small smile to Cammy as they walked. "So was there something you wanted to talk about?" She asked as she glanced back making sure Quinn wasn't close enough to hear what they where talking about. But before Cammy had a chance to answer they where approached by someone else.
"Well this is a pleasant surprise. 734 what are you doing here?" Xera said with a slight grin as she approached Sasha and Cammy. She didn't plan to hurt them just take back what was hers... well Vex's.
"Go stand with..." Sasha had to make up an alias for Quinn. She knew who Xera was and what she would do if she knew who Quinn was. "Uncle Rob." Sasha gave Cammy a small push back towards Quinn. They didn't need to be involved in this.
"Remove your hood. I want to see your pretty little face. You know the other slaves aren't nearly as good as you." Xera reached up and removed the hood for Sasha. "Ah there is that pretty face. It looks so much like your mothers, oh how I wish to see the face your mom made as I killed her once more but you are far to valuable to waist like that." Xera gabbed Sashas wrist and gave her a tug. "No I am going to return you to where you belong. You think you got away from us? Became your own person? Not a chance, once a slave always a slave."
Sasha stumbled forward with the tug. She considered fighting back, she knew magic now, that would give her the upper hand. When she escaped she didn't even know she had it much less how to use it. But now she was much better with it. Then again it would be good to get inside the walls and have the upper hand there. She glanced over at Cammy and Quinn and gave them a small encouraging smile. She was trying to make sure they could tell she knew what she was doing, but wasn't sure if the message would get across. "Servant." She corrected Xera turning back to face her.
Xera let out a short laugh. "Same thing." Xera tugged Sasha again causing her to fall to the ground. "Did no one ever teach you not to talk when in the presence of a superior? Get up you scum!" She ordered. Sasha was valuable as a servant but that never stopped Xera from treating her like crap. It wasn't like Sasha could do anything about it. "Fall!" Xera called out. She knew the puppet was there, a cold empty aura hung in the air. She may not know magic but she could sense aura's. This wasn't considered magic just a talent that she picked up. "Fall do you have a quick way of returning one of Vex's possessions to him?" Xera asked already having an idea of the answer. Whether she would actually do it or not was another question though.
