Brief Bio: A man who's always kept to himself. Most of his life has been spent with him wandering not too long after the disappearance of his teacher. No explanation was ever given as to why he just left him, but since then he'd traveled alone.

Personality: As creature who's main goal is to sedate his appetite, he often only helps others if there a benefit for him. Even then there's no guarantee that he won't go against his word.
Brief Bio: As a result of his thrist for knowlede, then man formally known as Soulen was forever changed into a monster. Though he never felt any regret towards his choice, infact the one thing that he regrets is the hunger that came along with the body

Appearance: He's masked, and mask seems to be infused to his skin​

Personality: Cold, cunning, manipulative as well. He's not fooled easily and will usually think things through before he makes his moves.​

Brief Bio: Has a history in the royal court, holding a high position once upon a time. But then he stumbled upon the Dark Arts and it corrupted him, thus making him the monster he is today. Was banned from the kingdom for quite some time, until now that is.​

Magic/Powers: Can make high pitch sounds like a bat to temporarily stun his opponent. His blood is black and can use it to heal wounds, make it into a weapon, or even deadly projectiles. Can also control and manipulate shadows to the point where he can make them materialize to block attacks or even attack his target. Can also cause harm to someone by causing harm to their shadow, but if he stabs it, they can feel the pain of it but it's just an illusion. No actual wound is made. Skin hardens with his black blood too, so its hard to stab him or slash him. Spilled blood can harder and liquify with his will as well. Can teleport short distances with shadows as well.​

Weapon: Silver dagger he uses to cut open his palm to let out the black blood, and Black Blood Sword that he makes with his blood. Can be sharp and deadly as a sword too.​

Additional Information: Has a grudge against the surving prince and princess​

Updated the accepted characters list because lets face it, Ace did nothing but chirp a pretty tune every now and then. I don't think he qualifies as his own character, but if anyone has an issue with this then just say it.

Personality: Independent and straightforward, she doesn't care to mince her words, and the one thing she hates more than oppression is politicians.
Brief Bio: Rishira's hometown was destroyed by the cruel executions of the king, her entire family and most of her friends slaughtered. But, instead of fighting the corrupt government that she hated, she dedicated her life to bringing in the small-time thugs and bandit gangs that preyed upon the smaller settlements, the little pockets of evil that the government didn't care to clean up. Rishira hates the usurper-king for what his reign has done to the kingdom, but feels as though any attempt to oust him will result in failure... she'd much rather do what she can for as long as she can rather than waste her life in a hopeless mission of glory.​

Rishira has had little experience with magic users, occasionally she would take on a bandit with weak powers, so she knows a little of her ability to duplicate the strengths of others. She focuses primarily on beating her opponents with her physical prowess, sometimes using copied powers to augment her combat style, coming up with creative ways to combine her weapons and the powers of her opponents in order to do the unexpected thing and bring her enemies down.​

Magic/Powers (Does not have to know any magic if you prefer that) : Mimicry (can briefly duplicate the powers of others, the effect wears off after a few minutes spent away from the person (or people) she is copying.

Additional Information: At first she will only be able to control one power at a time, but as the RP goes on she will learn to use additional powers at once (I.E. at first = 1 power/ after a few fights = 2 powers/ after a long time = 3 powers, ect...)​

 

Accepted, however I will say that the thing you mentioned in "Additional Information" could have the potential to become a little godmoddy. I'll be keeping my eye on it if it gets too out of hand, but it should be fine.

 

I was thinking that would be balanced out a little by the fact that she really won't know how to use the powers that she copies, making them less effective combat-wise, but I'm normally pretty good about keeping myself from becoming a godmodder. I think up limits for my characters that are potentially OP'd, like in Light vs Dark with Lysa's Gravity manipulation.

Personality: Quiet, fairly laid-back, keeps to himself and out of the way of others, slightly ashamed of his brother's actions. Not very opinionated.
Brief Bio: Brother of Oscar. Despite his brother leaving the Resistance he decided to stick around and try to help, however he has yet to be overly helpful there and hasn't made friends with many of the other members.
Magic/Powers (Does not have to know any magic if you prefer that) : Has the ability to see negative events after they have happened, but only if they happen to people that he is connected with.
Weapon (Again, optional) : Throwing Stars
Additional Information: Is Oscar's brother. Also I would like to further reinforce that Gabi's phone is a piece of crap.

Appearance: 5"8 in height, short messy black hair, green eyes. Average build. Wears a dark blue waistcoat and black shorts, with a gray belt on. There is a gray ninjato sheath attached to the back of his belt.
Personality: Doesn't like to talk about himself much. Thrives on battles, enjoying them thoroughly and has a firm belief in his ability, however he tries to avoid causing serious conflicts with his allies if he can.
Brief Bio:

Even as a child, Oscar was a quiet individual. He was someone that didn't like to talk too much, but whenever someone he knew was threatened he would be there to protect them. This continued throughout his life until he joined The Resistance, where he met the one woman that would forever impact his life.

Skadi Wynter was her name, and she was one of the original founders of The Resistance. She was also the girlfriend of Caleb Stitem, one of the other founders. Out of pure respect, Oscar kept quiet about his feelings for Skadi, always being there for her when needed but never indicating he felt for her as he did. Upon hearing of Skadi's death, and the involvement of both Caleb and Zane, Oscar gathered his things and left the Resistance.

To this day, Oscar visits the Resistance from time to time to get an important, dangerous task to do, and then leaves abruptly before many questions get asked. Some say he does this to vent his anger out on the world, others say he is searching for a way to bring back the one woman he has ever loved.

Magic/Powers (Does not have to know any magic if you prefer that) : Ancient Mask Magic. His ability is similar to Caleb's, in that he too summons things. However, he summons ancient artifacts which are in the form of masks, which when worn give the wearer abilities based upon the mask itself.

Personality: Very calm most of the time. He has a flare for the dramatic, and sees life as a story. He appears trustworthy, but is far from it.
Brief Bio: Once Quinn's childhood friend. The one he trusted the most in the world, but even then Luke had another side to him, a much darker one. Betraying his trust, he helped Vex sneek into the castle and murder the current king. Not only that, but when he noticed Quinn has seen the horrid sight, he turned and delivered a calm smile as though nothing were wrong. Ever since then, he has been following Vex on his path of conquest.
Magic/Powers (Does not have to know any magic if you prefer that) : Light Manipulation. He can create consentrated beams of high powered light (not neccesarily originating from his body.), make a flash to temporarily blind onlookers, bend light waves to make himself or others invisible, or even drain a room of light entirely, enclosing it in inescapable darkness.
Weapon (Again, optional) : He often walks around apparently unarmed, but he's actually using his powers to conceal a large device similar to a staff on his back. It has rotating lenses of glass all throughout it, which he focuses his light beams through to make more intense. When all of them align, it's a devastating move which is made to destroy fortresses.
Additional Information: He sees himself as the main character in the story of life, and thinks of himself as the leader of the passing. He views Vex in a similar respect to a father figure.

So, the good Doctor and I are planning on working out a layout for the RP's world, the Kingdom of Rivelle, We will eventually have a map posted up in this thread to give people an idea of how far apart towns are and what sort of landmarks may or may not be in-between them.

The following is an example of the sort of map we will have, it is not an accurate representation of Rivelle, nor is it meant to be.

How does everyone feel about a timeskip, going from where everything is currently to when the "rescue party" gets to the castle?

 

I'd personally go for making some underground mages a bit richer
