A Japanese performance art collective called Chim Pom used nets to catch rats off Tokyo's Center Gai street -- known as "super rats" for their supposed ability to withstand human-made poison. Then they taxidermied the rats, painted them yellow, and stuck wires in their tails. Real life (dead rat) Pikachus! Gah.

Oh my god... That's terrible.... How did they kill the rats even...? Why did they have to use real rats??? Couldn't they just make sculptures???? They're artists aren't they????

Kitsune, rats are vermin, they are not good for anything other than perhaps... Oh wait, no, nothing.

And I think this is hilarious. The quality is pretty good and that has to have taken some time to do. Also, I'm a pretty huge Pokemon fan, and I take no offense by this.

Even so, this is just disgusting.

Personally, I wouldn't be thinking so much about disrespecting Pokemon when dead rats are being made into Pikachu corpses.

For the third picture I just facepalmed

And I think that that's just really gross

Taxidermy has existed quite a long time indeed. Hell, even making weird creatures out of dead animals isn't new, like rabbits with antlers, and tigers with horns.

This is simply another form, and as much as I dislike the practice of taxidermy, this is actually quite good work. Except for the second picture, that's just... strange.

To me they are animals idc for what reason you kill them for. I consider humans Vermins... I don't go around killing them I think there are way too many people in this damn world but once I say I want them dead I'm looked at like a killer but when somone kills an innocent animal no one gives a shit -_-''' I'm sorry I just hate when people think lowly of animals and think they can just kill them off if there are "too many" I say there are too many humans. Just as a human feels pain if you hit and or bite them if you step on a rats tail you don't think it yells and feels pain? how would you feel being caught in a net and taken to your demise?

This is...pretty disgusting. I can't believe they would do something like this, it's just not right.
What, are they gonna do this to some random guy and see if they can turn him into a Jynx?

Exactly. And going back to what May said, animals feel pain just as much as we humans do.

Also Noroz, you say it's fine to kill rats. What would happen if we killed someone's dog and turned him into a Mightyena? No matter what animal you're doing it to, it's just not right. I could understand killing it for food but this is just pathetic.

This . . . is morbidly cool. Disgusting, though. I'm not very fond of this idea, not for any animal, even ones as useless and annoying as rats. What are they going to do next, take a frog and turn it into a Croagunk?

    Ngh . . . art, sure, but jeez . . .

..is it bad that idea made me laugh? :3

But that whole thing is a bit creepy I must say....as in very creepy. They are looking at me.
And I mean...while its a rather interesting idea, and looks pretty epic...its just bleh.
And you have to be pretty odd to actually paint dead rats.

But Pikachu is the Mouse Pokemon B|

I'm in the same position as Noroz. While taxidermy has always been somewhat unnerving to me, I find this to be a little funny. Maybe my sense of humor is that fucked up >>.

You can't possibly compare dogs and rats? Rats are filthy and carry disease. They are a sign of uncleanliness. Sure, some people domesticate rats, but they don't take rats off the streets and pet them; why? Because rats are pests.

Dogs are SUPER filthy and Carry Diseases when not tamed but humans took the idea of oh they will protect us so might as well make money off of them and keep them off the streets. Dogs have no purpose but to protect. Such as rats eat everything and anything that is left behind. And NO animals are pests.... You're saying if a kid has HIV/Small Pox/Any other sickness and isn't of any use to you are you going to call them Pests? No.

Oh, yes I can. Dogs were "vermin" at one point. Hell, ALL animals were vermin at one point in human history.

Rats may carry disease but so do other animals. Take pidgeons for example.

It's not like we round up a bunch of pidgeons in nets and kill them to be used as Tailow statues all over the country.

Dogs do not carry the same type of disease as rats...
Also, A pest is an animal which is detrimental to humans or human concerns. It might be a loosely defined term, but it often overlaps with vermin, weeds, parasites and pathogens.
An animal could be a pest when it causes damage to a wild ecosystem or carries germs within human habitats. Examples of these include those organisms which vector human disease, such as rats which carry the plague disease.
I see no dogs carrying the plague.

Dogs can carry fleas, rabies, ticks and many other things that are harmful to humans.

The difference is that people created things to specifically combat all of this. The same can be done for rats, all we have to do is try.

They still Carry Rabies, can give you different kinds of worms, leptospirosis which affects your internal organs like your kidneys. They also have fleas and ticks which carry the plague disease as well as rats thank you very much; And a lot more...

And there are dogs that kill humans.... But they still aren't considered pests. Humans kill other humans and spread diseases more than anyone such as STD's, Colds, Chicken Pox, etc so basically with the definition of pest humans are pests themselves.

I gave some better info about the fleas with dogs and yeah Humans don't want to make cures for them because they like to use them as experiments so they keep them sick and suffering so that "Humans" could progress.... If they really wanted humans to progress why not use it on other humans? Breed humans for experiments It's better that way to see if they actually work on the beings that they want it to work on?

Basically what Cat said. Also, I'm going to repeat what I said, and actually add something very obvious I forgot; dogs are trainable to a pretty extreme extent and can, indeed "feel" (I guess sense is a better word) when something is wrong with its owner. And yes, I value a dog more than I do a rat. And of course the human species is a pest, except for the fact that a pest is more or less a competitor of humanity.

And as far as your "idea" about breeding people... you can't be serious, because then this post would be a lot longer, and have a lot more insults to your intelligence and ethics, and I'd ask you if you were a member of, or supporter of PETA.
