No Thanks reviews section? lolidunno

I was thinking a section within gaming that is specifically for user reviews on games. General Gaming seems more like for game news/discussions while a reviews section could allow people to creatively write up their opinions on a game. Plus if there's already a review posted all other reviews for similar games can be posted in that thread to keep multiple posts of the same games from going crazy.

This could either be an awesome idea with lots of people coming to write or just fail horribly and becoming a dead forum.

I agree with everything except this. 10 Reviews + One Thread = BAAAAAAD. I'd say a limit to how many reviews of one game can be posted. About 3-5. Then no one else can so nothing will flood. Like the suggestions, Mods might have to keep a eye on reviews by keeping a list in a thread.

Regardless. I say yes. Besides, I've seen this before.

 

I've always wanted this. It would be a nice way of giving personal feedback instead of the regular 1-10 rating on IGN telling me how the game is. I would have not bought FarCry 2 if people told me it gets old, boring and repetitive. I couldn't agree more with this. Maybe not every single game would be review necessarily, but a good sum would nice, especially for games that are overrated.

 

not just on gaming, movies too. I know they have that thread for movie reviews, but seriously, I dont want to look in that heapin pile just to look at someones opinion of a movie

Keep in mind guys that this is a Kingdom Hearts forum. I could see game reviews, but not really movies. And since we don't know how popular the subsection would be, I'm leaning towards a no. Make threads reviewing games if you'd like, or I'd be happy to sticky something for you, but unless we see a lot of support for this I really doubt that it will happen.

Like? A bunch of reviews in one thread is going to be clumped and hair ripping. Considering how many pages you'll have to go through to find one review. We can stick something like this in the General Gaming Chat. Since it's the best place to put it in a KH forum.

 

It can be something like one review thread per game (if someone makes a new thread, it can be merged), each thread is unstickied, to avoid clutter on the front page, and then one sticky thread that links to the reviews.

But I have to agree with Misty one thing, this is a KH Fan site. Too many suggestions seem to forget that. We're not gamefaqs, or IMDB, or onemanga, or some RP site.

 

You can search threads individually, I mentioned that in my first post. So let's say the thread was 50 pages long, and you were looking for a review of Days. You could either go through every page or just search and get it in a second. :/

Because I never saw a function for searching pages.

Yeah, you guys can make one of those (except in General Game Chat) and I'll sticky it for you. If it gets really popular, we might consider a section, but for now I think that's a good compromise.

 

Game reviews section

I was thinking there should be a new section under Gaming where users could post their own reviews of video games.

I remember someone suggesting this a while back, someone was suppoused to make a thread for it I think.

 

I wouldn't really like a thread as much as a section or at least sub-forum. If it was just a thread you'd have to go through it and (eventually) all the pages just to see if there was a review for a game you're thinking about buying.
