Reverse This Curse

Aly smiled a little more, then glanced around. "Something you're not telling me?" She murmured, moving a little closer. She should have brought her knives, should have brought her knives, should have brought her knives. "Can't say they all know me and my work, but still."

 

"They're looking at me. Some are interested in why I have a human of all people with me but most of them are looking at me." Daisuke murmured back. He didn't need to mention what for, she already knew.

 

Aly shivered, then smiled, a little more mischievously. "That could be fun." she murmured, looking behind her, then grinning. "A lot of fun." Tilting her head slightly, she looked up at him. "Don't be so worried, okay? You're scaring me."

 

"I'll try to. Not easy when you're at the top of many people's hitlists." Daisuke chuckled. They stopped in front of the colossal building that was the main Resistance headquarters. It towered over any other building in the city but it still managed to not look out of place. Straggles of people were walking in and out of the front doors, each and every one of them had tasks to do and people to see.

 

Aly rolled her eyes. "Because, of course, what would life be without your name on a few hitlists?" she muttered, her eyes watching anyone who came near here. They could be a potential enemy, a threat, to her or Daisuke....not that she cared what happened to him, at all. He was just there. Just happenstance. Yup.

 

"Touche my friend." Daisuke chuckled. Still holding onto Ali's hand, he entered the building and walked over to the elevators. Most people in the building were a lot more 'warm' to Daisuke, since they knew what really happened to him. When the door on the elevator closed he pressed the button for the top floor. After a few seconds of humming the bell sounded and the door opened out into Yuka's office. "Well I guess we wait here until Yuka comes back."

 

Aly remained tense, but she smiled a little. "So this is the office of the leader of the revolution." she murmured, searching with her eyes. "Can't say she didn't do much with the space, but still. Could use a little....humanity. Just cuz you guys live forever doesn't mean you can't decorate." She grinned, turning to face him.

 

"We were only planning on using this city until our initial is completed. Then we were planning on moving into the citadel after all of this is over. And remember, many humans live in this underground place too." Daisuke walked over to Yuka's desk and sat himself on the floor beside the desk, this was usually his spot when Yuka was sitting at her desk. "Have a seat beside me why don't you, hm?" Daisuke said to Aly, he patted the floor beside him.

 

Aly smiled slightly, then shook her head. "I'm okay." she murmured, gently skimming her fingers along the wall, her eyes half closed. "This room is old." She almost whispered, leaning her head against it. "I guess I didn't plan this far in my life." she looked up at Daisuke, still smiling slightly. "I guess you didn't either?"

Personality: She never left her personality of being a young teenager. Though, her maturity over the years as a vampire may not have effected much in her life - she still knows when it's best to cool down and take things seriously. Always willing to help and is easy to confuse.
Bio: Chiyon's war really just destroyed her life. Her human life was gone for eternity and now she was stuck to being a vampire. She has tried her best to stay away from the chaos but now things start to get out of hand. She hears about the two sides forming, and decides its time to join one of them. But which? Even she did not know.

Preview Post: Rae walked along the streets. She was a supposedly young vampire, who stalked the nights alone in a town of chaos. It has been like that for many years, but has anything really happened? No. The death anniversaries of her family members that she mourned over passed every year and she knew that she would not be joining them soon. The female took a step and then another, a knife was held in her hand - her pale fingers brushing just at its sharpest point. Where was she really headed? What was going to flip her life around? The humans? Vampires? Chiyon again? Who knew. Her boots strutted on the concrete grounds. What was going to kill her first? Obeying orders of the vampire that she hated most, or was it joining in battle to attempt to throw the leader down? Rae couldn't have decided, things were all just messed up and that was one thing Rae knew all too well.

bic: Yuka silently stalked the rim of the forest, she weaved in, out and between trees as she searched for a suitable prey for herself to devour. Just as she turned to search another part of the forest a tantalizing smell caught her attention, it was so strong that venom started to excrete from Yuka's fangs. Yuka followed to scent only to find another vampire, who seemed lost. Just a lost traveller... Yuka thought. She walked out into the open to confront the other vampire but froze in her tracks when her mind brushed against the said vampire's. He was a scout for Chiyon, and he had friends with him, vampire hunter friends. "Crap." Yuka muttered underneath her breath.

Daisuke let a aged smile spread across his face, it was the smile only those who had seen it all seemed to have, one that had experienced every feeling and still lived to tell the tale. "Trust me, when you get to my age, you just stop caring about what happens in the future. The only thing that keeps me in this world is my attachments to those that I care for... nothing else." Daisuke only whispered the last two words. He felt so out of character compared to his usual self. He got up off the floor, craving human contact, and stood next to Aly. "I'm older than this entire place and it's in worse condition than me." Daisuke chuckled softly. He placed his hand on the wall next to Aly's hand, she seemed like a strong person, he didn't even need to read her mind to know that, he didn't want to read her mind.

bic: Had Rae not been walking through the forest then she wouldn't have heard the subtle whisper of a swear. She flipped her dark hair off of her shoulder, and let her senses lead her through the other creature. Only to turn around on her heel and find another vampire not far. Her pouted lips did not move and she stood there in silence. Her crimson eyes focused only to the bloodsucker nearby. It wasn't like she understood her by sight but it killed time to think. Till the silence was broken when Rae's gentle voice spoke out, "Who are you?"

 

Yuka's head snapped up in the direction of Rae's voice. Her eyes widened as one of the other vampire hunters nearby made a move and darted toward Rae. "Rae, LOOK OUT!" Yuka shouted. She sped over and pounced on the hunter before she could get close to Rae and pushed her into the bushes where no one could see her, not wanting to waste the chance she plunged her fangs into the hunter's neck, several flexible spines grew from her arms and as soon as they touched the hunter's bare skin, several more spines branched from the main ones, the process continued until the hunter's entire body, within a second the hunter's body was absorbed through the spikes. She jumped out of the bushes again and quickly wiped the blood smeared across her mouth.

 

It happened almost, too fast for Rae to catch. She blinked once and blinked again. It seemed like sleeping through movie scenes. The girl quickly got on her feet again, brushing off some dust that caught on her dress. She looked at the girl who had just saved her then turned her attention to her surroundings. Was there anymore coming out at her? She motioned towards Yuka, "hey, thanks." she muttered. Finally, her cautious feeling had gone. This time, she kept her senses at its sharpest - or at least tried. One save was enough, she had to prove to anyone she met that she was ready to take on these things. Even herself.
Rae grabbed a knife that was strapped on to her leg covered by her midnight dress. She gripped the handle hard and kept it close to her side. Her eyes wandered to the female who just had a meal, "Your name?" she asked.

occ: uhmm, mind if you change her personality to: quiet, cautious and quite timid? that seems to fit it more, sorry for the correction. Oh, and I'm off for the night. I'm not exactly sure if I can get on tomorrow - but I'll try my hardest (:

 

Aly looked up at Daisuke, then smiled, letting her eyes light up. "I always thought immortality would be so lonely. My mother..." she stopped, lowering her eyes, confused as to why she had started on that subject, then forced herself to finish. "My mother always said that's why vampires lived forever, because they were cursed to loneliness. But some didn't have a choice. Why would they be cursed too?" She smiled a little less, gently rubbing the wall, as if seeing her past play out on it, like a mirror. "I think she just wanted to blame them for my father. For me."

bic: "Immortality- a fate worse than death. Only fools would go after it so eagerly." Daisuke whispered. He only knew too well how those words were so true. He rested his forehead on the wall and closed his eyes, he started to listen to Aly's heartbeat next to him. The rhythm started to slowly unwind him and relax him. "Why did she want to blame your father?" Daisuke asked, his whole body relaxed as he continued to listen to Aly's heartbeat.

"Don't be too cautious, that's exactly what Chiyon's followers want you to do. By the way, my name is Yuka-" she cut off and spun around at a blinding speed to block the attacker coming from behind her. She didn't bother to conceal herself in the bush again when she absorbed this hunter as well. "Chiyon is nearby, I know she is."

 

She gently pressed her forefinger against the walll, trying to smooth it out, working out the small issues. "He never wanted anything to do with me. They had a hard life, and I was just an extra burden. So he left me and my mother when I was five or so, and I never knew what happened to him. I think Mom did. She hated when I brought him up, she always said I had his eyes, the unnatural stare...." gently pressing her palm to the wall, she let her hand go flat against it, as if to absorb herself. "After that, Mom got money for killing some vampire or other, and we were able to live better. Then....." she steeled herself, forcing herself to remain calm. "Then Mom died. And it was just me." Smiling bitterly, she placed her other hand against the wall, pressing both palms flat against it. Just me against all of them.... Changing the subject, she took her palms away, tilting her head. "Do you have any paint lying around?"

ooc: I'm finally back. Sorry for the insanely long absence, I have no internet of my own at home so I couldn't get on KHV. DX
I'm back at school now, so I should be able to get on every now and then.

bic: Daisuke closed his eyes for a moment, thinking back to what his father had been like to him when he was human. His father had always pestered him to join the army so that he could bring good reputation to their family name, and to get revenge for all of the lives that the vampires at the time had taken. Even though Daisuke and his father never really got along they were still close, they always had their moments when they bonded like a normal father and son would and the same applied with his mother.
“I’m pretty sure your parents still loved you to pieces even though life was difficult.†said Daisuke. He started to walk around the room a little bit. “It’s the same with most parents. You may think that they hate you, that you are a burden, or that they wished that they never had you,†Daisuke glanced up at Aly’s face and smiled. “But if that were really the case, they wouldn’t have had a child in the first place, no?†He walked back over to stand beside Aly again. “Oh yeah, we don’t have any paint. Yuka likes to keep things nice and simple in her office.â€

 

OC: I've left the site, but I'll check back once a week or so to update the stories, so I'll post here too.

BIC: Aly grimaced. "That's Yuka. Not me." She thought for a bit, tilting her head to the side. "But wouldn't they have found out what a mistake it was to have a child? After going through the process of having one." she sighed, then smiled. "That's my thought anyway.." Walking around the office, she finally plopped herself down on the floor, and looked up at him. "And so here we are."
