Reverse This Curse

Daisuke smirked childishly, he took Aly's hand and shook it. "Don't worry, I'm a vegitarian. I'm Daisuke." Not a lot of humans had a good opinion of him, particularly because Chiyon had made him do her dirty work whenever he was under her brainwashing spell.

 

She narrowed her eyes slightly, then smiled. "Your reputation precedes you." she replied, shrugging her shoulders. "And the temptation is always there. Not that I'm important enough, but I'm a temptation." she waved her hand. "If I died, there would be no one who would know. I have no one, and so I'm the perfect victim." She was also the perfect bait, but she didn't say this. A girl didn't reveal all her secrets.

 

"I went off human blood long ago..." he stopped and thought for a moment, that wasn't exactly true, he turned someone a while back and drank their blood. He mentally face-palmed himself for that. "And yes, a girl tends to not reveal all of their secrets." Daisuke quoted, hoping that Aly would catch onto what he was saying.

 

She shrugged. "Long time as in a few hours compared to a few minutes? Years compared to days?" She smiled slightly. "I don't think anyone ever gives it up completely." Tilting her head, a strange smile lit her face. "Just most of them." she replied, still smiling that strange smile.

 

"It's been just over a millennium since I stopped drinking it as a food source of any kind. Only times I've tasted human blood since then is when I've turned someone; which is one person. I used to be human, want to know the story? It's actually quiet interesting." Daisuke inhaled a breath, the horrible after taste was starting to develop in his mouth.

 

Aly watched him, her eyes curious, then shrugged. "If you want to tell it. It's not like I have anywhere to be." She murmured, tucking her hair behind her ear. "It must be a hell of a story, for you to quit for a millenium..." Just that someone could live that long was almost incomprehensible to her.

 

"It's not that bad really, if I didn't I wouldn't be able to do this-" he walked over to Aly and placed his hands on her injured arm, within a few seconds the wound was gone, he even got rid of the scar that was already there as well. "See? Plenty of benefits from quitting. Anyway, a thousand years ago, roughly speaking, I was in a war, one of the many famous Vampire-Human wars. Actually it was one of the first wars. I was about sixteen at the time. And you know who the commander and second in command of the Vampire's army back then was?" Daisuke raised an eyebrow, he was interested in Aly's reaction.

 

Aly rubbed her arm, not so much as a scared reaction, but as a reflex against anything new. She slowly traced the place where the scar had been, then looked back up to Daisuke. "I would have to guess Chiyon, but my history knowledge is sadly depleted." she murmured, watching him.

 

Rik litterly dragged Cadence in a sense. Knowing she would probably only be standing for a few minutes he pulled her along with him by her shoulder. He needed to find a safe place for them to recover and somehow get in contact with Kraine. He dragged Cadence out of the tomb and headed just outside the graveyard where they could rest for a moment.

 

"Who am I? Tgh, I'm sure as hell for of a match for you then those two chumps. So maybe you should shut up and let me carry you." Kaji said. "Even if you are that powerful, not everyone's a pushover." he said in a dark voice. "Or would you rather I leave you here on the off chance that they come back with more members of their rebellion. After all, you don't look like you've changed all that much from when you were just a human." he said to her, a smug look on his face.




Prometheus started to lauph. "Old people. You're all the best. Not a single thought that couldn't bore the hell out of me." Prometheus said, as he stood back up. "Yo Seth, cmon, we're leaven. Cause some havoc with the meat heads." Prometheus said, as he started walking towards the stair well to lead down into the building.


Though Seth had remained quiet, almost unnoticible, he finally made his presence known as he followed Prometheus. The guy obviously wasn't much of a talker judging the fact that he hadn't even been noticed until now.

 

"The commander was Chiyon. Anyway, back to the story. Back then, even though we lacked the technology that we have today we caused devastating damage to both sides. On my side of the army; the human side, I was titled one of the best soldiers they could possibly have. I had never lost a fight before. Ever. And of course, being the power-hungry hag that she is Chiyon had her sights set on me. Near the end of the battle, when the humans had almost won for once, Chiyon revealed her trump card and turned the entire battle in her favour. I was one of the only humans that survived her unleashed attack..." Daisuke paused, he never really liked remembering what exactly happened to him on that day. It always haunted him, the burning pain from his skin being shredded to bits, broken bones and the searing pain of the venom coursing through him... "When Chiyon found me, I was a lump of shredded flesh, not literally speaking, just horribly injured. You cannot begin to imagine the pain I was in, especially after Chiyon bit me and turned me.That venom of hers stings like hell, you seriously would wish that you were dead instead."

Cadence didn't care if she was being dragged, she just wanted to get of that area and away from Chiyon. Whenever she was near her, there was always some sort of mental pressure in the back of her head. It was unpleasant and it made her feel like she wanted to vomit. As she was dragged further out of the tomb the pressure started to release its grasp on her.

Chiyon froze and her eyes widened just a bit, she slowly turned her head to face him. It couldn't be him, it just couldn't. He was meant to be dead long ago. Chiyon looked back down at her feet, bit down on her lip and balled her hands up into fists. She hated to admit it when someone was right and she was wrong, it bothered her so much. "Bastard." she muttered underneath her breath.

Yuka didn't say anything, she just sat down on the ledge and stared out onto the city. It seemed so quiet, probably because it was just before the start of their next move. Everyone was getting worked up about it and Yuka was certain that Chiyon would be anticipating their next move as well. "It's only a matter of time before you falter..."

 

Aly opened her mouth, then closed it, looking away. She wanted to say she did know how venom felt, that she did understand what it was like to want to die, so badly you could taste it. Instead, she played with the apple, keeping her eyes cast downward. "So Chiyon got you...." she murmured, her eyes in some far away place. "How did you escape from her? As you are now?" she looked up, her eyes bright.

 

"Good girl." Kaji said, a slightly degrating way of saying it though. He knew she had power, and though he still could feel for her, the fact was, he wanted to ensure that he had an edge over her. At that moment, he tried moving his arm under hers again and placed it around her shoulders. "We're moving" he told her, as he stood up, using his own strength to get her up with him whether she liked it or not. "Or would you rather that I carry you back so that all of your meat heads can see their great leader being whisked away in someones arms." Kaji said, the same smug as before appearing again, as he started walking towards the exit, expecting her to follow.

 

"When I first became a vampire, I became extremely depressed. Because I realized what I had become a lot faster than most others did, usually they've gotten used to their new life before they do. But I didn't. Because the depression effected how I acted and performed, Chiyon saw me as useless and threw me out, not after a near-death beating that is." Daisuke stretched his arms a bit and then untied the piece of ribbon keeping his hair tied up and let his hair fall down to his shoulders. "Chiyon's venom is the strongest vampire venom in this land, you think that being bitten by an average vampire makes you feel like you want to die. Heh... wait until you've been bitten by her."

Chiyon's hands balled up into fists again and she bit down on her lip even harder. A small trickle of blood rolled down from the corner of her mouth and dripped off of her chin onto the ground. She was getting frustrated. Very frustrated. It wasn't the image of him holding her in his arms that frustrated her and embarrassed her, it was being brought back to the citadel visibly injured in front of everyone. She didn't move from her spot, not yet anyway. "I want to figure out who you are, because there are very very few people that knew that I was human for a bit." Chiyon's eyes narrowed. "And most of them are dead now. So it only leaves 3 or 4 people."

 

Rik moved a few feet away from her, he was making sure that no others from Chiyon's empire where near them. After confirming this spot as safe for now he turned his head slightly to Cadence's direction and said, "Just say when your ready, this place won't be safe forever".

 

Aly nodded, turning the apple in her hands. "What about your family? Your friends?" she murmured, her eyes on the apple, but gazing into the distance, someplace where she was imagining the pictures his words brought, and her own memories. "What about..." she stopped, her voice catching slightly. She sighed, then offered him another apple. "Want one?"

 

Kaji started to lauph, as he helped her towards her destination. "I'm surprised that you don't even remember. But I suppose I shouldn't be too shocked. It isn't like you're the same as the human Chiyon. I suppose I am mostly to blame though for your century long period." Kaji said, once again, that same smug appearing. Chiyon was the only one who he ever seemed to lighten up around. Even if she was an evil dictator who had more of an attitude problem then an old drunk, he still saw her the same as before, but simply corrupt. "You should probably know though that I don't plan on killing you. Doesn't mean I'm not against you or anything. I just thought it might be funny if I proved a point and hung around for a bit." Kaji said, obviously not treating the situation as seriously as he should have been, as they began approaching their main destination. "Is the fair maiden certain that she doesnt want her public to see her being carried back by one of her mindless followers?"

 

"I should be alright in a few moments." Cadence said breathlessly. She wrapped her arms around her stomach and tried to calm herself down. It wasn't like she hadn't been stabbed before but whenever she did it burned. It always burned like it was the end of the world. When she first 'woke up' she would alway scream in agony whenever she was injured like this but now, after ninety years later, the pain merely bothered her a slight bit.

"My friends were already turned to vampires when I was human. There was a sickness around at the time that could only be cured by vampirism and they caught that sickness, so there's no point missing them. My parents... they were already dead. Killed by Chiyon's father before he died himself. A fitting end for them I think, killing the most powerful vampire in existence's father." Daisuke looked up at the apple Aly was handing to him. "No thanks, I've already eaten today. I don't want to get fat or anything." he said mockingly. He playfully punched Aly in the arm, he only tapped her with his knuckle at the fact that if he punched her lightly the normal way, she would have a broken arm.

Chiyon's eyes widened noticably now, widened in shock. Before she could pull her thoughts together her other personality saw the chance and pounced in to try and take over. Her human personality. In her internal battle Chiyon managed to push that personality back into it's cage in the back of her mind and continued to stare at the man in shock. Only two people knew of her being a human once, Kaji and Yuka. This person was definitely not Yuka which only left one option. "Kaji...?" Chiyon muttered. She inhaled a sudden gasp of air. "I thought you were supposed to be dead."

 

"I'm sorry." Aly murmured, then smiled, if not a little bitterly. "At least....your parents died together." She grinned, flicking his hand away and grabbing it by the wrist. "I'm not such a delicate flower I can't dodge a small punch from a vampire." she retorted, still holding onto his hand. If he wanted to hurt her, he would. He didn't seem the sort though, and she smiled.

 

"Well that's because I was. Thought the world might be better of someone else took over, and only way I could do that was pronouncing myself dead. That way when someone else took over I could kill down any attempts for some scum bag to take over." Kaji said, his smug quickly dissapearing. "I was actually at peace until I started learning about what was happening with you." he said, his look now becoming some what detestful. "It would seem that you have been making more FREAKS. More like me..." he said to her, as he stopped for a moment. But then started moving again. "Quite frankly, I should be hurt. But I don't see the point. If you aren't your old self then I suppose that there is a possibility that once we even get back, you'll attempt to kill me." he said, slightly chuckling now.
