Revelations (Re-made)

"You sure?" She asked, picking the Magnesium up with tweezers. "April?"

 

"You can do it if you want, I've done this one before. I'll collect the gas from it" She picked up a test tube with the handle (OOC: I can't remember what that thing you hold testubes with is called) and held it upside down ready.

 

Gabe sat, ready with his pen and the worksheet. Filling out labs wasn't his thing but lately fire hadn't been his thing either. "Well, go on. Until we start to heat mercury, I'll stay out of it."

 

OOC: Aren't they Tweezers? Or am I thinking about other things?

Maddie shrugged and held the Magnesium over the flame, until eventually it started burning, but something was wrong. "Huh...isn't Magnesium supposed to burn....blindingly bright?" She frowned as the Magnesium just burned plain red.

 

OOC: I don't know. And O.0 That is some wierd magnesium you've got there. Magnisium burns with an incredibly bright white light for a few seconds, you're not supposed to look at it directly it's so bright. It's fairly impressive, so it's a common experiment at schools to do when people first start.

 

OOC: Really? At our school when we burn Magnesium it burns a greeny kind of colour and is okay to look at...straaaaaange.....

 

ooc: wicked! We've never gotten to burn magnesium at my school so I really wouldn't know, but that is strange. anyway...

 

OOC: Okay then, re you sure you weren't burning iron or um, I think there's another that burns green but def. not magnesium. Anyway, are we keeping it as that or editing it? I thought yu'd know magnesium, that's why I choose it, that and it's one of the best experiments.

 

OOC: I'll edit it, I do know it. It was the first thing we done the first day of Science, Unless I'm thinking of the ashes/powder it leaves behind that makes the bunson flame burn green? Or I might just've gotton confused with something else...I dunno, it's been over a year since I done it last.

EDIT: I think I'm thinking of something completely different :imslow:

 

April frowned, "Yeah, you're right. That's odd, are you sure that's magnesium you've got there, not lithium or calcium? And I was looking forward to that one." She was still holding the test tube over the flame to collect the gas it was giving off.

 

"I don't know, the container I got it from was labelled 'MAGNESIUM' so I assume it is." She shrugged. "Maybe we should ask your mum?"

OOC: Is this gonna be a staple of science? "I don't know, let's ask the teacher?" lol

 

OOC: Probably but I don't know what it should be, do you want it to be something wierd and unexplainable, like someone's power's messing with it or something simple like it's not magnesium?

BIC: April nodded, "That's probably the best idea"

 

OOC: I don't know? I suppose the powers interfering might make a bit more story. But who's? and anyway. We need to decide who's taking over Toby, Amy, Forrest, Harley, Zack and umm Zack's kid.

Gabe lazily scribbled across the paper, "I don't think that's what you think it is.~" he said in a sing song voice."

The door flung open and slammed against the wall. Hushed voices were heard in the hall and a small, delicate looking girl walked into the room. Her light brown hair pulled back by a dark blue bow. She glanced around the room and smiled, "Hello. I'm sorry, am I interrupting class?" her light voice tinkled like music in Gabe's ears. Standing up straight, Gabe caught his gaze on the small girl. "Whoa."

 

Maddie looked up at the girl who had just entered. "You know her?" She asked Gabe, he seemed to be gawking at the girl.

 

April frowned as looked at Gabe's reaction before looking at the girl, taking an instant dislike.

Eliza looked round to see the girl "Oh you're fine. May I ask who you are?"

 

She smiled at Gabe, something in her dark blue eyes lit at the sight of him, "Diva Delliger. I'm related to Mr. Coran. He's my Uncle."
Gabe closed his mouth and shook his head at Maddie, "N-no, I've never met her before. But...wow, isn't she just...beyond anything you've ever seen before?"

Diva's smile took an edge to it the longer she stared at Gabe, but she waited to be told where to sit.

 

April's frown deepened, "Not really"

Eliza nodded and gave a brief explanation of what they were doing to Diva before telling her where to go.

 

Nodding, Diva took a seat a row behind Gabe, "Hello, an your name is?"
Not having heard April's words, Gabe stared at Diva, "Uh Gabranth Coran. Mr. Coran, Gabriel, is my father. You said he's your Uncle?"

She smiled with that same edged smile, like she was straining to hold something back, "Yes, Drake Coran is my father. So his name is Gabriel? Oh, he couldn't be The Gabriel. My friend came to this school with me looking for THE Gabriel. I didn't think my Uncle's name was Gabriel."

 

April was deathly quiet, she was afraid if she opened her mouth she'd do something stupid. She really did not like the vibes coming off this new girl. For a moment, she kinda had hoped they were related then he might not be attracted to her then decided it was better they weren't. She wouldn't want him to be related to her. Although, if her uncle was Mr. Conan but not Gabriel, who was her uncle?
