Revelations (Re-made)

Gabe smiled and ruffled her hair, "Don't worry. Nothing's more embarrassing than how my father treats me. You'll be fine."

 

April smiled sheepishly back at him, while trying to flattenen her hair back down, "I hope you're right" That was odd, she usually hated her hair being touched but when Gabe did it, it didn't bother her so much.

 

ooc: you think we could move on?

 

OOC: I guess so, where to?

 

OOC: The next class?

 

OOC: Okay, that's Eliza's

 

ooc: ok.

bic: The bell rang and Gabe ushered himself out, pressing the cloth to his hand and holding the door open for the girls, "C'mon girls. Let's head on before someone's crazy brother comes back."

 

Maddie grinned and dropped all the weapons she was holding, "I'm all for that!" She skipped out of the room, leaving her mess behind for Yuri to tidy up.

 

April grinned, put down the sword she was holding and ran after them, "Yeah, let's get outta here"

 

Gabe followed them with his easy smile returned to his face, "So...does anybody have an idea of where we're going?" He may have been spacy but his mind was focused on his still bleeding hand wrapped carefully into a strip of his shirt. He still felt no pain and it was starting to frighten him.

 

April thought about it and paused, "Um, yeah, I think we have Science" She said fairly quietly.

 

Maddie took out her timetable, "Yeah...Science with...Miss Moon.....Is that your Mum, April?" She grinned slightly noticing April had spoken very quietly.

 

April nodded slowly, "Yeah, it looks like we all have family teaching"

 

Gabe sighed, "Oh well, I just hope your family is mellower than the last bits of family I've seen teach, cause my father sure as hell ain't." He grinned and stopped in front of the next class' door, "Who wants to go first?"

 

Eliza opened the door before anyone else had a chance to, "Hello, I take it you've got me now" She said to them with a smile.

April looked down, very quiet.

 

Gabe jerked almost comically and settled his arm around April's shoulders in a subconscious way. "Well I hope you're more fun and less tweak out than the others we've had today. I know for sure Gabriel's gonna flip on us when we get there." he gave her an easy smile that he always wore and lightly tugged on a strand of his hair to keep from touching his side where his sword would've been.

 

Eliza raised one eyebrow, "Well that depends entirely on how you behave. And may I venture to ask why you think Gabriel's gonna flip on you?" Eliza smiled slightly, noticing where Gabe's arm had landed, April seemed to be making friends quickly. Though she decided to keep an eye on Gabe to make sure he wasn't doing anything bad to her daughter.

April, still looking down, smiled as she felt Gabe's arm.

 

Gabe's smile broadened and he remembered his father's lecture during lunch, "Because my father believes I should stay away from each and every girl in this school and everywhere else. In his words, 'Treat them like delicate flowers, only to be observed and not touched.'" he laughed but his eyes darkened, "As if! I'd never hurt another girl..." He dropped his arm from around April's shoulders as if afraid it would happen again and looped his thumb into his pocket. He'd forgotten about his injured hand and ripped shirt as he lifted his hurt hand in a salute, "Never fear, Gabranth Coran, at your service, with promises you fair ladies won't be harmed." Gabe remembered how his mother had reacted when they heard Lulu was dead. She wasn't afraid he'd do it again like his father. Sorcha soothed his fears like always as the ever caring mother, not the woman his father and apparently everyone else knew her to be.

 

Eliza smiled and shook her head slightly, "Well he's right that girls should be treated with respect, but I wouldn't take it quite that far" She frowned as she saw his hand, "Is your hand okay?" She asked with nothing but pure concern in her voice. "Oh, and why are we just stood out here? Come in, come in, sit where you like for today but try not to touch anything. You'll have your turn in due time." She said letting them into the science lab.

April walked in slowly, looking at the others as if to ask where to sit.

 

Maddie shrugged at April and wandered around the room, looking to see if there was anywhere quite and roomy. She needed to make sure Gabe and April had their "Special" time together in the right conditions.
